My family ended up staying and additional day and we were not able to return the chairs and table until that Monday. She knew the pain we all felt with the loss of my mom and what it meant for us to all spend time together for one additional day. I was highly referred to AAA Rentals and I can see why. I talked to Alex in February at the end of the telling him what I wanted to rent for March. He said he could deliver the items. I called, texted, emailed him days a head of the event. I even went by his location and no Alex no response. I never heard back. Crickets! I had to go through another vender and had to pay a fee because of late booking and me picking up the table and chairs. Here it is a week later and still no response. Used this company for my wedding linens, "box wood" and outdoor heaters.. heaters were price to rent, and never worked. The employee that was working when we returned them could not get them to work either. We were some how 2-3 napkins short upon return. Rather than refund the rental cost for the heaters that didn't work the said we could just settle for the cost of the 3 napkins and call it even. Their boxwood left us very unimpressed as well. I rented 2 tables and 25 chairs for Thanksgiving, fully paid. They were supposed to deliver on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and I never received them. Emailed the owner and called them several times to avail, we figured it out and were ok at the end. I called them all they long on Friday as the website said they were opened, but no one ever took my call until Saturday. I got my money back, and I was ok with that. I was not going to leave a bad review until I got an email from them requesting me to pay for a service I never received. I was already upset at the lack of professionalism. Never once did they call to apologize for the inconvenience. The least they could have done was take me out of their email list to avoid any more aggravation. read more

We had a rental agreement with AAA Party rentals for over 2 months prior to the rental date. The actual rental experience was terrible with details itemized to the owner Alex in an email. The email is copied here. I received no response from Alex whatsoever after many attempts were made to speak to him about this. So, to let others know what they might expect I am including it here. The items from our order that were in unacceptable condition and that required cleaning by our family before use were as follows: The tent, all walls and the ceiling, were filthy. I washed all areas of the inside of the tent and the outside overhang by hand and my son and I used a floor mop to reach the ceiling. See pictures. All the glasses were filthy with a film that washed off when washed by hand, with some even having lipstick on them. All glasses were washed by hand prior to use. The string lights had roughly 1/3 of the bulbs burned out, also some strings were cut with no connectors at the end. And 2 strings did not work at all. Of the 12 ordered, because we had to take bulbs from some strings to replace the burned out bulbs, only 5-6 strings total were usable. Multiple glasses were broken in the crates- See photos The parts of the order that were incorrect include: The wrong size table linens were sent so that the linens draped significantly onto the ground around the dining tables with guests tripping and stumbling over them repeatedly through the night. A serious fall hazard. The order was for wine, beer, water and champagne glasses. Not enough glasses were sent overall. What was sent was an assortment of what looked to be anything left in the warehouse after other orders were filled, with our order filled with odds and ends and mismatched wine glasses, and no beer or water goblets were sent. As a result we had to purchase glasses for the party at Costco. No dessert plates were provided, only dinner plates. We had to order for overnight delivery dessert plates for the cake. The plates that were sent were a mixture of mismatched patterns. All of the above failures of this rental caused multiple members of 2 families countless hours of work and stress. Not only was the delivery late, well past when we had reserved time in our schedule to receive it, it required multiple frantic calls on our part to make happen. Most of our calls were unanswered and an email requesting assistance was unanswered. Only after the Uhaul person answered a call finally, long after we started calling, did we find out that the order had not even been loaded and we were given the impression that no one was aware of the order or delivery time. The delivery driver was very pleasant during the set up, but he was still setting up at 10:45 pm when my daughter, who is pregnant, had to tell him to leave the rest for us to finish because it had gotten so late. We washed the tent, strung lights, set up all the tables, washed dishes, fixed the light strings, and had to purchase items at the last minute that weren't provided. Additionally guests were tripping on way too long table linens. I think this is an extensive list and shows a real failure with the service and equipment you provided, not to mention a lot of extra work we weren't anticipating. Given all this, I think it would be a fair to ask for a partial refund of the costs. Otherwise, I think you should expect this email to be posted online. read more

I have recently used this company over the weekend for an event and I was happy with their services. Initial phone call turned out great. Mandy was very helpful and offered/suggested more things like linens, table settings etc , not just tables and chairs. My event planned was just a small one, if it wasn't, I would have taken the offers. I also spoke with the owner, Alex, and he was also very accommodating and worked with me on delivery and pick up. Even offered free set up! The only hiccup was the date of service which was taken care of by Mandy on the follow up call days prior to the event. Their tables and chairs are more than I expected (I thought I was just renting regular ones). It came to be wooden and sturdy. I love the wooden padded white chairs too that went well with my venue. Their price is cheaper than others around my area. Highly recommended and will use them again if needed. read more

AAA is unhappy with the state of America. I could tell right away by the large poster of Barack Obama as a shoe shine boy, shining Sara Palin's shoes. The other poster added to the sentiment, showing an angry mob, a guillotine and with Harry Reid, Obama and Diane Feinstein queued to have their heads chopped off. If I had any doubt, the husband-owner's rant about the upcoming elections clarified it for me. I'd come to rent a U-Haul trailer for the Columbus day weekend and U-Haul's national service sent me here. It's not my usual U-Haul place, but they were the closest with the trailer I wanted. As usual, the info AAA had received from U-Haul was largely incomplete / incorrect. And I didn't show up in U-Haul's Repeat Customer database, even though I've rented trailers 3 times a year for 7 years. The man and his wife were cheerful as I repeated all the info. The guy put the trailer on my van's hitch. I warned him that the van would ride a lot lower when loaded, and told him to tighten up the chains. Later, when we loaded the van, I had to redo the chains. They scraped the road. There was something funky with the ground wire on the van's plug, so he just skipped connecting it. He didn't have me inspect the trailer for previous damage. But he was cheerful and friendly. A big plus: When I returned the trailer, 3days and 3h later, the computer wanted to charge me for 4 days, but the wife adjusted the input to only charge me for 3. So that saved me $15. I don't think I'll be back. But if you go, please ask the guy what he thinks about the healthcare bill, and let us know. [This is my 100th FTR. Yipee!] read more

My niece used this company to rent chairs and tables over the weekend. The service was exceptional starting with the call. The information provided on the phone was accurate. The pricing was reasonable and there were no surprises. The tables and chairs were ready for pickup as expected. After sharing the reason for renting the chairs, which was a death in the family, Amanda was compassionate and provided comforting words. Plan to use this company again. THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED!!! I have rented from this business MANY times but clearly something has changed there. The man who answered my call was THE RUDEST person I have ever spoken to. I merely wanted to rent three tables (about $25 order), they close at 5 pm, I work until 5 pm and he would not accept a card over the phone saying he has been "burned" in the past. Clearly, they are behind times because a debit card "debits" immediately and if there is no money in an account, it is denied -- there is no IFs, ANDs, or BUTs... This long-time Pearland resident, will never rent from them again... and this small business should be ashamed that they have gone from a business so wonderful to do business with to the meanest, rudest place in town. read more

I had a really bad experience with this company. I chose to rent from them for my husband's surprise birthday party because they were local. I just hung up on the owner as he was yelling at me! First - they were suppose to deliver at 9:30 am on Friday morning. I phoned to confirmed equipment and items that needed to be delivered on Tuesday before - was told all was okay. Friday morning - no one showed up - so I called at 9:45 - they told me that the delivery guy was out and they would do what they could AND that one of the items I had ordered was not available. Delivery was finally made at 2:00 PM. Then when we went to put things together - 4 out of the 8 tables only had 3 feet - so they were wobbly. I called the owner and he tells me that he is super stressed out and his wife messed up my order and the dates - and he was having all kinds of problems AND I should just put something under that bar height tables to stop them from wobbling. My response was that his stress was not my issue - that I had enough on my plate with my surprise party and just needed to have things delivered as ordered AND that I would call him after the party to discuss all the issues. So it is Tuesday today - and I called him and when I mentioned it was me - he yelled at me for sending back items saying that they were dirty. I asked him what he meant and he told me that I should have washed all the chafing dishes and wiped all the tables. When I told him that my caterer told me that it was fine to return chafing dishes that were just wiped down and that I in-fact had to wipe down all the table before I used them. He told me that me "What do you expect from the rental industry?" and started yelling at me. I hung up because I refuse to engage in verbal battle with a person like him. I love this family owned business!!! They are the nicest people to deal with!!! I hate to see the bad reviews on them but I'm sure there's more to the story then what those folks are saying. This family goes above and beyond to help out the people who come and rent from them. I'm sure this is still the best place around town to rent from and if they don't have what your looking for they usually know someone that does. If you haven't been by you should check them out before you just go by the bad reviews because belive me I'm sure those people didn't get treated like that for no reason!!! read more
