My fiancé and I went to this office on a Saturday morning to get our passport pictures taken and to ask about uniting our car insurance. As soon as we stepped into the building, there was no line and walked right to the receptionist to get checked in. We told receptionist that we were there for passport photos and to talk to someone about car insurance. She said first take photos and then let them know you also want to speak to someone after. It literally took only 5 minutes to be seen by someone and then get our picture taken. After, we were seated on the other side of the office to be called for car insurance. It took about 10 min to be called. Kevin greeted us with a smile and asked how we can be helped. Kevin honestly made everything simple and effective. He gave us advice on how to go about uniting our car insurance and how much we were going to save. We loved his marvel collection he had in his office and talked about things we had in common. Kevin went above and beyond and he should be recognized for the professionalism he bestowed upon our visit. 5 star rating all around for this AAA office! Thank you! read more

*sighs* The reason we switched auto insurance to AAA (that is not cheap) is being that of the outstanding customer service.... Or so we thought. We came into the Long Beach branch/office recently and it was the most difficult transaction in the beginning. We were NOT greeted more like summoned by the most distasteful REP you could encounter. Her name is (MONIQUE) & I apologize if the spelling is incorrect. Her work ethic and representation was completely unprofessional, not only did she insult multiple people she would also not answer any of our questions and then rebuttals with snarky remarks as if we should know what the answer is. My child was with me during this visit and reached to grab a pamphlet when she then grabbed them all aggressively & tried fixing them. Overall there is no need for this type of behavior, we are not children and shouldn't act like or treat paying customers in this manner. You would think customers are the rude ones and the reps can keep their cool! What's next? Discrimination? First impressions are everything, this will only encourage us to not recommend any of our family or friends, or their family and friends to AAA..... read more

AAA dispatched Sea Country Towing to tow my car. Greg from Sea Country arrived and damaged my wheel by getting too close to the left border of the bed. I knew the damage had just occurred because there were aluminum shavings hanging on the lip of the wheel. I asked Greg to help me with the insurance claim. He said ok. I contacted AAA and submitted all photos along with a detailed summary of the events. I worked with Andrea Black, of the Member Relations Group, who was completely useless. AAA denied the claim because they said I didn't have a video of the incident. What?!? How is this possible! I went back to Sea Country Towing and they told me they weren't responsible because Greg said he did not cause the damage, which I know he did (see photo). Sea Country was completely unprofessional. See their reviews for more detail. AAA won't accept your claim unless they have a video? This sounds absurd to me. So if someone rear ends me, and they say they are not at fault, AAA won't cover me if I don't have a video? If you have AAA insurance, I would think twice about using them for your insurance because they may not cover you unless you have you have a video of the incident/accident. Be careful... Also, when you call AAA for service, always ask WHO will be providing the service. If it's Sea Country Towing, DO NOT USE THEM. Ask for another company. Anyone except Sea Country Towing in Lake Forest! read more

I've been a member of the AAA for over 24 years. My experience at this branch this past Saturday felt like I was a stranger walking in off the street. Met with Car Insurance Agent. Quotes me $240 per month and $563 down. Car is brand new and I have a clean driving record. My only disappointment was when I asked the insurance agent an explanation for the cost he simply said and iterated premiums are high and you have a brand new car... REALLY? So I shopped around not only did I get a quote for less than $200 a month BUT they gave me a discount for being a AAA member. The irony... read more

Been a gold 10 years membership but my experience last night was just a nightmare! Called in at 4.04pm.for the tow truck and was told that my expecting times will be within 45-55 mins. Without any calls or text messages for the heads up on delay, finally the guy showed up at 8.44pm. with attitudes accusing me of using foul languages(who wouldn't be after been waited nearly 4.30 hrs.!! when your vehicle broke down??) and asked me to step on the break while the vehicle was already on the back of the tow truck???? Really AAA!!! read more

Brought in my pink slip to one of my cars I sold and needed to pay for my dad's membership. Quick and easy with the DMV paperwork. I was given a copy and the rep time stamped it. She explained they do not "process" the paperwork, but send it out to the DMV for processing. Later directed to stand in another line for the membership services. I was the only person in line, but was not acknowledged by the women behind the plexiglass. A separate lady walked up to me from behind that same counter and asked what I needed. I told her that I needed to make a payment. She told me that one of the ladies behind the window will assist. I'm thinking--they have yet to acknowledge my existence. I get flagged to approach the counter... the lady then proceeds to hold a convo with the rep who is supposed to be helping me. Well, dang.... what am I? Just office scenery? No wonder I had to repeat myself three times to the person who was supposed to be helping me. Clearly customers are not a priority. Solid two stars. One for quick DMV assistance, and the other for ample parking. read more

Will never go there again. Where can I start. There was nobody in line and they had me wait for 10min ad the customer service associates talked amongst themselves. I didn't even get the discount I was looking for should've just stayed home and bought them on line as I did. They act like they don't get paid. The only reason I have AAA is for car purposes but now strongly considering canceling my service with them. Never going there again. read more

Aaa roadside left me stuck on the side of the road in pouring rain refused to tow my pickup truck because they said it was a "commercial" vehicle after I had waited an hour. So I had to call another company and wait again. I offered to pay for the tow myself still they declined. read more

I really like AAA. My family has been members my whole life. I went to get my registration and pay my insurance. It was easy breezy. There was about a 5 min wait at the DMV side. One negative, at my payment stop and registration I got the life insurance hard sell pitch. It was annoying. How many times do you have to say you are not interested in one visit? Stop trying to upset members! read more

Really love this office. It's local to home and so convenient. On two separate occasions, we have booked travel through the agents there. The first time was with Pam. She was great. However, covid hit, and we never took the trip. Initially, the insurance company did not want to refund our money since "pandemics" weren't covered. Pam informed us that we would just rebook at another time instead. But one morning, I awoke, and all of the money for our trip had been refunded to my bank account. The second time, we booked a cruise with Sara G. This woman is EXTREMELY patient, personable, and professional. We called for reassurances on a few things, and she handled them with no problem. 5 star service from both women!! read more

I want to take a moment and thank the two women that helped my husband and I in vehicle registration. Unfortunately, I do not know their names, but we could not have done it without them. Their insight was spot on and so was all of their information and direction. We had been given the run around from the DMV and were literally in tears. These two women came to our rescue and with their ability to "get to the bottom of it" saved the day! Thank you for being our heros! read more

Empathy for their customers would be helpful. One of the reasons i belong to AAA is to avoid the DMV. On my visit, after waiting 20 minutes for my turn, they just casually tell me that AAAs connection with the DMV has been down. read more

I've been here several times over the years and they do everything right. They are really efficient and the people here seem to all be nice. I've come here mainly to pick up new plates and handle registration issues. Before running out to the DMV to take care of something, I recommend asking AAA if they can do it for you instead. It's a much nicer experience. PARKING: There is a large lot and I've never had issues with parking there. read more

Watching a supervisor help an elderly gentleman get directions from Long Beach to the Ontario airport. This guy gets 5 stars for patience/ helpfulness. The man complained he couldn't see the map printed from Mapquest. So the super printed a bigger map. He explained the freeways he needed to take. The man said he needed a trip print. So the super printed a trip print. Still couldn't see it. So he printed with larger text. 5 STARS for the super. But this makes me wonder.... should this man still be driving?? read more

5 star service. I was in and out within 20 minutes. I needed to get my registration tags for my car since I was about 1 month late ( DMW said they had my old address on file, which is BS because I've lived at my current address for 5 yrs now and they've sent me renewal forms in the mail previously ). Hmmmmmm. Anyhow, I walked inside the AAA office, was greeted and helped immediately, got the paperwork filled out, an attendant called me within 10mins.,I paid, got my tags, and was on my way..... great service at this location. read more

On May 23, 2018, I drove to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and drove to a state designated state parking lot that I accessed from a state maintained (dirt and gravel) road. My wheel got stuck there in soft ground and AAA Roadside Assistance initially took my call but diverted me (without notice) to a tow provider (S&R Towing - Julian) who demanded $360 cash - in advance - to winch my car from the soft spot. The tow provider would not accept my AAA roadside assistance request. I paid the fee (actually, my daughter paid for me because I was stranded out in the Anza-Borrego desert) and I appealed to AAA for reimbursement. On 6-27-2018, "Ashley", from AAA Long Beach called me and said the location is not covered under AAA's description of "regularly traveled" because that portion of state park road is unpaved. She offered to reimburse based on "32 years of membership," but not the roadside assistance. Even then, she would not reimburse because I had not included a receipt from the tow provider AAA had shunted me off to. [S&R provided me no receipt because the fee was paid in advance - over the phone - by my daughter, although I suppose S&R Towing might provide one to my daughter if she asked]. Unpaved roads not covered? According to CalTrans, up to 43% of state roads are "distressed." Nearly 5% of their network consists of unpaved roads. (https://www.cacities.org/Resources-Documents/Member-Engagement/Professional-Departments/Public-Works-Officers/Documents-(1)/Local-Streets-and-Roads/2010/California-Statewide-Local-Streets-and-Roads-Asses) According to the Victorville Daily Press, "On the edges of the valley, in places like Phelan or Lucerne Valley, dirt roads are common. Even in ever-growing Victorville, some older neighborhoods still have unpaved roads." If you have AAA EMERGENCY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND TURN OFF OF A PAVED ROADWAY, EVEN ONTO A STATE DESIGNATED STATE ROAD OR STATE DESIGNATED PARKING LOT, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN PERIL. Not the AAA I used to trust. Photos Attached. read more

I like this office in Long Beach near the airport, there's parking and the wait is not very long for whatever service you need. The employees and agents are helpful and professional too. However, I'm giving AAA in general three stars because of the high prices for auto insurance, which are ridiculous! If you are a law-abiding, rule-following, good, taxpaying citizen, you will get punished with higher insurance premiums for your auto, regardless of your age, your loyalty, your multi-policy (home and auto), your good driving record, the age of your car, and even with all of the discounts that you qualify for! Which really sucks! So please be sure to shop around and take other auto insurance companies into consideration before committing to this AAA Auto Club of Southern California. read more
