Went in here today to get my tags renewed. I thought it would be a quick in and out. Turns out my (non-aaa) insurance was reporting a completely different vin, which alerts/tells the DMV that I have no insurance coverage. (Which I have been paying every month on time.) This would not allow her to proceed until it was resolved. She patiently showed me what the problem was, called the DMV on my behalf, while I had my insurance company update my information, just so I could get it done today. I don't remember her name, but she had stunning just passed shoulder-length silver hair and was very slender. Thank you so much!! read more

Long long time autoclub member with auto and home. Two prominent part to my review. 1st. After raid damage to home in Az discovered that to submit and receive payment on my claim, my rates would soar up about 30 percent for several years. To cover a couple hundred dollars in repair. Paid for it out of pocket. 2nd. Getting notices from Arizona aaa that insured my home there and autos, that would need to have "Club membership" or would not renew any insurance with them. Was able to go to the local AAA office and show california aaa membership ( once the primary and now second home ) and this was adequate for Az to renew all my insurance. KEEP IN MIND THAT AAA IS NOT A NATIONAL COMPANY. They are many separate and individual companies. After several years of going to the Az office of aaa, decided to go with membership in Az. Now my So. Cal. home is being refused insurance unless i go with aaa so cal membership. Figured i could just go and show the Az membership and would be given the ok by So Cal. Wrong!! After much haggling, calls. and visits the the Huntington Beach AAA, was told would also need the So Cal membership. THIS SO CAL AUTOCLUB IS CHEAP A--. They will nickel and dime you for all they can get. Consider that for the past 47 years i have been faithfully paying the aaa so cal on time and this is how they treat your loyalty. This location is simply killing it. The vibe is completely different than the other branch on beach and edinger. Everyone is so nice and friendly. The other place feels like the dmv, with everyone just trudging through their day. I went in to sign up for insurance and roadside assistant, Keisha was helpful, thorough and just a delight to work with. I live around the corner from the edinger branch, and it's was definitely worth it to come down to this one. read more

I had a fantastic agent help me with adding a new car onto my policy. Agent Reg Wilson provided outstanding customer service and even though he was not my primary AAA insurance agent, he went above and beyond to help me add my car and make a few adjustments to my deductibles to save me money. He spent extra time answering questions and helped me a great deal. They don't even deserve one star . I have been a gold member for over 15 years and the WORST service from the AAA customer care (manager ). I called last week and had my address switched to my mailing address even tho I live at the other address that was listed. I wanted all my mail to just go to the same address . They did not inform me that there would be a $40 fee . So fast forward I receive a bill . So I called and spoke with 3 different supervisors (David purviance ) (Sofia shack) and last manager (Michelle Labao) they were quite rude telling me nothing can be done and they can't wave the fee . Or switch it back and wave it . And trying to argue saying I live in hb ,when I don't . I live in GG .I just wanted to change the address so all my mail would be in the same place . I am so unhappy this is how they treat a loyal customers . I want them to know my whole family will NOT be using AAA after our policy is up in March since we all pay a year in advance . That's thousands of dollars a year from just me . We will also be canceling out road side assistance to. I actually WILL be going with STATE FARM now there rate was cheaper for Better coverage,the will even quote you over the phone for free . I've had two accident in the last 3 years and there's is still cheaper then AAA Glad I will have a new insurance company who explains things and asks the right questions . We purchased renters insurance at AAA 19810 BeachBlvd Huntington Beach, Ca 92648 on February 17, 2019. We moved into a new apartment in which it is mandatory. This policy was paid in full. We notified Ms. Ruse Duarte-Camilo that we had an off site storage as our apartment did not have a garage. On June 13,2019 we arrive at our storage unit and noted many valuable work/collectible and house hold items where missing from our unit. We notified the manager and called the police to file a report. Upon arriving home we called AAA to file a claim at which time they notified us that our policy had been canceled. We where never notified by mail, email, or phone call. They stated they have a refund check in there possession( which was never mailed). The check was dated May 1, 2019. Again we where never notified. We called back several times to file a claim. On Friday June 28, 2019 as we where leaving town on a family emergency it dawned on us that AAA cancelled our policy but never offered to reinstate or open a new policy. At our current apartment complex it is mandatory that renters carry insurance. I called up extremely upset. Micheal was very aggressive in reviewing our 2/19/2019 policy that was cancelled. That was not why I was calling. After a good 20 minutes of him ranting I begged him to just began a new policy since no one from AAA had solved the problem. AAA still had the money from my original policy as the refund check was never mailed. That was not my concer at that point. He wrote another policy with basic coverage. I asked him to stay on the phone till the email was signed and my Visa card was charged. Now as far as we where concerned AAA had money for two policy's. On July 3, 2019 an adjuster Dale Anderson from AAA called to offer us a one time settlement of $4500 minus our $1000 deductible. We decided to accept the offer even though we new the value of our loss was greater. He stated he could do this as we have never filed a claim before. Mr. Anderson stated the check would be ready by the end of the working day. We received an email from Mr.Anderson on July 8, 2019 denying our claim stating it had been can canceled. We still had not seen a cancellation notice, email or refund check. We are extremely disappointed in AAA as we know they want and strive to take care of there customers. We consulted a lawyer. We hope to resolve this without further legal action. Last week I called, spoke with Jasmine. She helped us review our most recent policy and was extremely kind in helping us fix the current policy. Over the years had used several travel agents. Then stopped using them when I found that I could get faster info and better prices by doing it myself. However, my daughter needed travel arrangements to Europe and I was overwhelmed. Decided to take a chance and go to AAA. BEST MOVE I have made in a long time! Eric Hernandez is a terrific travel agent. He spent a lot of time with us to make sure that every detail was perfect and saved us a lot of money too! Despite all of the planning however, problems arose when the British Airways plane had mechanical difficulties and then Heathrow Airport cancelled all flites for awhile due to severe weather problems. Eric took care of finding my daughter new flites, hotels in London, etc. I could not have handled all the problems on my own - and luckily I DID NOT have to - Eric cheerfully and efficiently handled them for me. I plan to be a AAA member for a long time - so that I can continue to use Eric's services!! read more

Everyone here seems to love their job that I see smile and professionalism every time I come in to pay my car and renters insurance. You can book travels here so easily. Paying your bill is never too much of a wait. They accept all types of payment. They have plenty of bathroom stalls to use if needed. It always feels cool in here whether it's winter, spring, summer or fall. Waiting area is spacious, plenty of chairs to sit on. AAA is above average price for full coverage. It depends what you need. I like to go here because I hate being on hold when you call. You never find a problem with parking. read more

I've been a member of AAA for 16 (so since I've had my license), have upgraded to a premier membership (so worth it), and have used them in many different cities. Today I discovered I had a dead battery. I called AAA and they dispatched Thanh Huynh from Mandic Motors. He was here in record time and I could not be more pleased with the level of service, friendliness, professionalism, ease, and efficiency Thanh provided (date: of service 3/14/16 - #22471 - I want to make sure he gets recognized by AAA!). Of course car troubles aren't ever a pleasure to deal with but if I have to call AAA again in Orange County I'll be asking for Thanh, and I highly suggest you do, too. My car was broken into and I was locked out of it in a beach parking lot. AAA responded first with a driver who helped us enter the vehicle. That took about 45 minutes. Then we could not start the car due to a missing FOB. So AAA sent a flat bed to tow the vehicle. That took about an hour. Since I didn't have a FOB, the car would not release the emergency brake so the AAA driver dispatched a different drive and truck that had a dolly system so the vehicle could be lifted completely and transported to a dealership. That took about another hour. The driver of the third AAA truck, Romeo, was friendly and helpful. He encourage me to file a police report, drive me over to the police to do so. Then rigged up the vehicle and towed it to the dealership. It was a long discouraging day but the AAA drivers were friendly, courteous and helpful. read more

After 27 years of AAA insurance and one previous claim that was handled well, I was hit from behind by a truck on the freeway. My car was totaled and I was injured. The claim was handled in the worst possible way by AAA. The car was towed to a AAA shop for evaluation and totaled. I saw doctors for my injury. The claims adjusted phoned me constantly to "get the claim settled" even calling while I was getting physical therapy. She wanted me to buy a car "off the lot" so she could stop paying for my rental car. She never once asked how I was doing recovering from my injuries. When she called during therapy and I asked her why she didn't ever ask about my recovery she said she was only responsible for getting the property claim resolved. I now pay a few dollars more but have a personal agent at Allstate and claims get handled professionally. Sometimes it isn't about ten or twenty dollars. read more

This is my third time here in a week. Every time I walked in, the waiting room was so, so busy, in fact a guy looks like he's sleeping, must have been waiting long. They need to hire more employees for DMV, ridiculous that the wait is 30 minutes minimum. The receptionist is waiting for 5:00, their closing time, and then will help with the blacklash, until then, she is talking to a security guard about pictures, she could be helping customers,SHEESH!!! read more

AAA is the kind of service you never think about until an emergency strikes and you need help RIGHT NOW, but thankfully I've had excellent experiences with this business. When I've had to get my registration renewed and couldn't / didn't want to go to the DMV I was in and out in less than 30 minutes on a Saturday, and when I needed roadside assistance this morning for a flat tire a technician was on site in under 10 minutes and had me driving again in less than half an hour. Wow am I surprised to see any negative reviews about this place at all. I cannot describe how awesome of an experience I have had each and every time that I have been to this location. I have my car insurance and renters insurance through AAA. Keisha Brown handles all of my insurance needs and couldn't be more helpful. It could be 6 months since I have last seen her and she remembers me and my family. I have had passport photos taken here which also was a breeze. I have had to purchase and sell vehicles and the DMV side is great! Let me give a shout out to Reg who is always helpful and smiling. I love the convenience of AAA. I've used them for towing, title transfers, dead batteries and once for locking my keys in my truck. Recently however, I've had 2 unpleasant experiences at this location with the same CSR. I believe her name is Karen. My son just purchased a boat off of Craigslist. Long story short, the owner (dad) had passed away, geriatric mom signed it over to the son, son never registered it because he planned on selling it right away, took a while to sell (had a hard time parting with it) etc... My son was the lucky buyer. We went to AAA to get the title transferred. We had a receipt for the sale, the pink slips (boat & trailer) and prior years' registration cards. Karen (again, I think that's her name. Short strawberry blond gal) looked at our paper work, typed something up in the computer and asked my son who he bought it from. He said the guys name, Shawn. She replied that the mother had released liability and that that person would have to come in (or go to the DMV), complete a bill of sale and that the person my son bought it from would have to do the same in order to get the title transferred. We asked who the person the mother released liability to was and she said she could not give us that information. We would have to go to DMV, get some sort of title search, yadda, yadda, yadda. We left feeling completely confused and frustrated. My son called Shawn, the guy he bought it from and asked who his mother could have released liability to and if he and whoever that is would be willing to come in to AAA and get it all straightened out. Shawn had no idea and his OLD mother couldn't remember either. So - we went to another auto registration place, Quick Plates and asked if they could help us. All QP had to do was look up the VIN on the boat, asked for the name of the guy my son bought it from, and confirmed that the mother had released liability to her son, Shawn. We had a flipping receipt with Sean's name on it! Why the CSR at AAA sent us off on a wild goose chase was unbelievable and COMPLETELY unnecessary! We went back to AAA to complete the transfer and fortunately for us and for Karen, we worked with Mary (I think that's her name, I'm really bad with remembering names but she's the tall attractive lady with longer black/brown hair). Super sweet, completely professional, well versed with our info and had the titles transferred, new plates, trailer registered and us out the door in a jiffy! So - I would recommend this location if you're lucky enough to get the right CSR. Otherwise, go to Quick Plates!!! read more

Horrible customer service for DMV services. Clerk refused to complete a title transfer saying it was not correct. I knew it was correct and I dusputed her knowledge of being a notary (the title was signed off and notarized) so I went to the other AAA in Huntington Beach and that clerk didn't question a thing. Title was transferred with no problem. It's all in who you get, I guess. read more
