I went to register our car that had been in non-op status for 9 months. I took the registration form I received from DMV and gave it to them. When they returned with my registration and sticker I noticed when I got home that they only renewed the registration for 3 months and charged me $218. I tried to call their office but due to Covid artificial reasons employees are not allowed to talk to customers on the phone. I'm going back later and raising hell. read more

Often times this AAA gets packed and they are slow. I will say part of the reason they are slow is cause of their excellent customer service and ability to take their time serving you. I did come during my lunch time and notice their employees take their lunch at similar times during the lunch rush so a lot of employees are out to lunch. This really causes a back line cause often people only have time during their lunch hour. Overall this is a great AAA for service and my last visit Tish helped me and she was excellent in making sure I had all the eligible discounts. read more

This is my second time coming here to renew my registration and both times were fantastic! 1. You're in and out in a short period of time; 2. The staff is super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. What's so awesome about this place is there's not extra stress added to you. Meaning, we all hate long lines, dealing with DMV paperwork, rude employees etc. Here, you're treated like Beyoncé compared to other locations. I've had AAA for years and I've never walked in to one of their locations and had this type of experience. Ya'll are great! Thank you for making each experience so wonderful. Overall my AAA membership and insurance has been great. I have never had the opportunity to deal with a local office for member services - in 27 years of membership - my first experience was reaching out for travel support. This location is where I was directed after jumping through the phone prompts. The initial call with Athina was fine, shared basic info, then at her request, emailed the specifics. After three follow up attempts - never heard back....not one word. Nothing. Can't fathom what happened, or why....no out of office reply. Nada. Because the travel is multi-leg journey, I now lack confidence in AAA for this. Just went to Amex Travel instead. Just my experience with the local office - I have been following up with them since 8/26 - it is now 9/2. Even if they are just busy, a response of some kind would be far more professional. read more

I've had AAA for 18 years. We called last night after my son's truck started acting up on an entrance ramp to the highway. We were on the side of the highway near Skokie. They said a tow truck would be to us in 60 minutes or less. They gave me a link to follow. Immediately after I hung up the phone, the wait time went from 60 minutes to 2.5 hours. My granddaughter (age 2) was in the car. Instead of dispatching another tow company, AAA left us hanging. It took me 39 minutes to get to another customer service rep. She was rude and obnoxious. I finally canceled the request. At 11:21, exactly 3 hours after my initial call, a towing company called to say they were almost there. We had gotten the child out and in another car. That's simply inexcusable. This relationship is OVER. read more

Thank goodness for AAA; I can't count the number of times they have made my life easier with all the services they offer. I recently had to renewed my car registration and it was such a quick and easy experience. Their Customer Uncare really sucks. 20 minutes of answering prompts over and over again then saying to you to go to their website which you cannot because you cannot register. Went to AAA to renew my auto club card and decided to get an auto insurance quote while I was there. I luckily was seated with the most wonderful service associate named Keisha Brown. After talking with her the first 5 minutes I instantly trusted that she had my best interest. She wasn't trying to SELL me anything and she is the most personable individual I've met in a long time. I can not say enough wonderful things about Keisha. I did sign up for auto insurance and I'm more than likely going to call her for home owners insurance as well. I just went to AAA to change title on a car. I was at the counter at 4:40. I handed my paper work to the lady, she took it inside came out and told me that they couldn't do it today. I asked what time they closed and was told 4:30. Their website says 5:00. She asked me if I could come tomorrow earlier in the day, I explained that I can not due to work and she looked at me as if she she couldn't understand that I work. I have had AAA for many years and use their services very little. I will no longer use their services due to the poor customer service that I received. Sorry AAA, you just lost a long term customer. read more

I don't even know how Triple A still exists. They have never been helpful once. I call for roadside assistance they say it should take 45 minutes. An hour n a half passes we call them back and say they haven't even reached out to a operator yet. They didn't tell us or anything just left us waiting. I've had a membership for 2 years and haven't utilized it. This past weekend I realized I didn't receive my car registration renewal information and it was due in a few weeks. So instead of calling or waiting in line at the DMV, I went to AAA. I brought in my old vehicle registration and my ID. They were able to issue me my new tags and a copy of my updated registration. It took only 15 minutes!! The downside is they only accept cash or checks for this service, which I ended up going to an ATM to get cash. After I thought about why they didn't take credit cards, it made sense. They are providing a service for the DMV and don't make any money off of the service so if they accepted credit cards they would lose money because of the transaction fee they would absorb. It's still kind of inconvenient, but knowing you need cash or a check will help with the inconvenience because it sure beats standing in line all day at the DMV. read more

Easy breezy is all I can say! I love coming to this location, it's never crowded or busy no matter what time you come in! I'm always in and out within 10 minutes! All of the staff is very friendly and welcoming, unlike other locations cough cough... Overall AAA is always solid and on point, I never have any complaints except when they try to sell me on car insurance, I did get a quote last year and they were ridiculously expensive! When the employee asked me yesterday if I wanted a quote and I told her what the outcome was and she said she was surprised because other carriers are more expensive than AAA, I like my insurance and I'll stick to it LOL! Upset. Came in to this location to transfer a title. I tell the CSR that it is a gift/transfer. She tells me I need to go get a smog cert for title transfer. I leave and obtain the smog cert down the street ($48). Come back to AAA and wait in line. New CSR meets me to transfer the title. She tells me that I did not need to get a smog cert because the transfer is between family members. Cost me $48 and one hour of time. Thank you AAA for wasting me time and $$. I give them an additional star here because there is a very short wait for service, and the 2nd CSR that helped me (Quyen Nguyen) actually knew what she was doing. read more

I am at the Huntington Beach location where I have been waiting 50 minutes to see a travel agent - 50 minutes. Only 2 of 4 travel agents are working today, I am told the others are away at "training." The customer service desk couldn't care less and said, "I don't know what to do" without offering reassurance or inquiring with the agents about how much longer. They have plenty of business in other categories such as insurance and DMV needs so it seems the attitude is "we don't need to try so hard - we're not hurting." I am a 17-year Triple A member. I have had triple A since I was a teenager and as my kids become drivers, I get them started. AAA has grown in what they offer over the years. I now have my car insurance along with my AAA card for tows. My triple A is on Beach Blvd. I have visited the office to add and remove cars and to register my automobiles and avoid the DMV. The discounts I get on just about everything with a triple A card are nothing to sneeze at either. Well over 1000$ savings on the last family vacation to Hawaii. I can not over state the advantages of being a member. read more

This AAA office is within walking distance from my office, making it super convenient for me to just skip on over and pay my monthly auto insurance payments and yearly DMV registration. The entire staff is friendly and it's easy to navigate around the office whenever you need to talk to an agent, but my only gripe with the place is that most of the time you have to wait awhile for someone to help you out. Yesterday I was waiting for about 35 minutes for someone to help me process my DMV payment; they honestly need more than 2 people to handle these types of transactions. Aside from that bit, I've never had a problem with this AAA location and like it much, much better than the other HB location on Beach and Edinger and the Harbor and Sunflower location. read more

Been there twice because DMV did not mail me title after paid off car. Had to wait over 25 minutes while a worker was shooting the breeze with another patron holding up the line. That was the second time. The first time, had to wait 15 minutes for lady to talk down to me like I didn't understand that they have the same system as the DMV. Both women tried to talk me out of getting a duplicate title saying the DMV was behind. It had been over two months since the system said they should have mailed the title. Seems like it's an office for a slower paced life from the past where they think people are not too intelligent or fast paced. I probably should have gone to the Westminster DMV and saved time and gotten the title late July and saved myself the extra trip. read more

Andrea Gonzales is a rat. Deceiving liar! I purchased liability insurance ONLY for 12 months for my 05 nissan titan adding up too $678 with my good driver record, PAID IN FULL. Got my account signed off for the usual 10,000/30,000 liability policy. 3 weeks later I get a call from their office asking me that I need to make a payment......I was like...come again..in my mind I paid them for the year! So I called Andrea my ex-AAA rep. she said not to worry it must of been a "sales call", ok ignored.....a week after..again "Sir you need to make an monthly payment! I straight hung up and called my AAA office.. Well from being ran around a couple times I spoke to a manager regarding this issue! According to the manager I had purchased renters insurance!.....I blew up like a mad horn with the blood running hot! I immediately stopped him from sales pitch! I told him all I wanted was liability no renters insurance..they could not help me with this and tried to make me pay additional monthly payments when I payed them in full for a 12 month liability policy..they told me to cancel my membership if I didn't like the service! Total shock from AAA! I said fukem excuse me language but I got two sons that I drive around everyday from school and back! After 3 months of getting the run around,excuses. I was trying to get Classic car insurance. They kept coming back asking for more stuff. There customer services is terrible. Lawrence is the best agent ever! He made my insurance purchase a breeze! He offered me a water and coffee as soon as I sat down which was nice considering I went when they first opened and waited in that line. He talked to me like a normal human being, had me laughing, and really made the whole process seem short. He did his best to get me as many discounts as possible! Since this was my first time purchasing my own policy he went over everything with me and answered all my questions. I had to have my car repaired so I had a rental and he checked up on me to ask how I was and to let me know that I was covered and I didn't have to worry. if i could do zero stars i would! long story short i left my keys in the car by accident. and i don't have AAA but my mom does. so i called her and asked her if i could use hers. she sent me a picture of the card. this is my FIRST time using AAA. she sent me the picture. the only bright side is that the guy came earlier then the ETA told me. I was parking in a parking structure but huntington beach. there was no name of the structure. me and my friends saw him pass the structure so one of my friends ran after him. my friend told me the driver was being very rude to him. when i met the driver in person he was very rude to me. he asked to see the AAA card and i didn't have it cause my mom did. and he was like "your mom should've shown that" and he asked for my name very rudely. he didn't even saw excuse me when one of us was in his way. i didn't get his name but he's a short mexican guy.
