We wanted to move them to a place that was closer to us and where they could still feel they were living independently but have help with daily care, if they needed it. My parents were in their 90's!! As the years they lived at the assisted living facility went by, they needed more and more care. (Prestige) now BELLAMAR adjusted to their level of care needs seamlessly. What we liked mostly was that the staff genuinely loved our parents. Our parents loved them back!!! One year ago my mom suddenly passed away. Now, a year later at age 97 my dad passed. Our last years with our folks were wonderful because we knew they were well taken care of by competent care givers who REALLY cared!! The facility was clean, the food was delicious, and they helped out medical appointments and transportation. They have fun social gatherings where my parents met new friends. Sadly, my dad's last days were in hospice care. He could not make his rounds at social events. The Staff checked on him and truly cared for him hourly before he left this Earth. I can't say enough great things about BELLAMAR!! I highly recommend this assisted living facility!!

As I searched online, I came across several articles about Palm Vista being voted best in the Antelope Valley! I scheduled a tour with Kehlani who was enthusiastic, welcoming and highly intelligent. She gave me an amazing tour of the restaurant style dining area, miniature movie theatre, outdoor recreation, salon and show rooms. The following week I brought mom to complete the intake process and she immediately felt comfortable in this new environment. After showing mom around, Kehlani covered everything from laundry to care provider assistance. I was satisfied with the rules which were doable as all measures of legality were covered. Later we spoke with Stu, who is the head administrator. He was such a down to earth guy. He shook my hand and made a few jokes and then introduced himself to mom and welcomed her. The facility offers a 10% discount for families of military, which cut down the price for us considerably. For everything that this place has to offer, I can see why they were voted Best in Antelope Valley. Mom has been here for 1 month and I've seen her improve. The entire staff really shows that they care about the seniors here.

I fixed up his room to resemble his previous home with personal belongings so he was comfortable. The staff care about their clients and became part of our extended family. They are attentive, caring people who have their heart in the right place. We shared holidays together, singing, playing games, having lunch or dinner together. I love the home environment provided. Their staff to patient ratio ensures the clients receive the quality care they need and deserve. They are treated with respect and love. It is a 24-hour care facility. Unfortunately, that positive experience did not last. Over the last year, the quality of care and staff professionalism declined dramatically. Communication became inconsistent, follow-through on important matters was often lacking, and our confidence in the facility steadily eroded. One of our biggest concerns was the implementation of a new fee structure that appeared designed to maximize charges rather than serve residents. Services were broken into multiple billable items, creating what felt like a constant stream of additional fees and making it seem as though residents were being charged multiple times for essentially the same level of care. Even more troubling were repeated issues involving our father's medical needs. On multiple occasions, we were given information by staff that later proved to be inaccurate regarding care and services that were supposed to have been provided. As family members entrusting a loved one's well-being to a facility, this was unacceptable and deeply concerning. After witnessing the continued decline in care, accountability, and transparency, we ultimately made the decision to remove our father from the facility. What began as a place we felt comfortable recommending became a place where we no longer felt confident that our father was receiving the level of care and attention he deserved and was paying for. Based on our experience, we would strongly encourage anyone considering this facility to ask detailed questions about staffing, medical oversight, and billing practices before making a decision.
