My mom passed away this morning after 4 years and if it wasn't for the consistency of Deanna and her team I would have moved my mother to another facility long ago because of the rent increases imposed by the head office, but I didn't want my mom to lose Deanna and her team because they make it a loving, caring environment. They are also professional, empathetic and available, (they are totally relatable) which is so important when your loved one is going through something like this. Recently it has changed hands and is now called Bellamar . I have watched the easy transition and I am very happy to see the same loving and efficient care to all the residents. The staff is caring and devoted to making the residents feel loved and at home . The decision to move to assisted living is very hard . The staff and atmosphere help in this transition. As I searched online, I came across several articles about Palm Vista being voted best in the Antelope Valley! I scheduled a tour with Kehlani who was enthusiastic, welcoming and highly intelligent. She gave me an amazing tour of the restaurant style dining area, miniature movie theatre, outdoor recreation, salon and show rooms. The following week I brought mom to complete the intake process and she immediately felt comfortable in this new environment. After showing mom around, Kehlani covered everything from laundry to care provider assistance. I was satisfied with the rules which were doable as all measures of legality were covered. Later we spoke with Stu, who is the head administrator. He was such a down to earth guy. He shook my hand and made a few jokes and then introduced himself to mom and welcomed her. The facility offers a 10% discount for families of military, which cut down the price for us considerably. For everything that this place has to offer, I can see why they were voted Best in Antelope Valley. Mom has been here for 1 month and I've seen her improve. The entire staff really shows that they care about the seniors here.
