Sheeesh! I hate to leave negative reviews, but with a little extra time on my hand and bad experience #2 I have to share, as a fair warning to anyone planning to visit the AAA El Monte branch. On my previous visit, I saw AAA offers notary services and thought so cool and convenient I'll try it next time. Called the branch this morning to ask if appts are needed or walk ins are welcome and the lady just noted that they're available except between the hours of 12pm-2pm (lunch time). So I eagerly go in slightly after 9am on this beautiful Wednesday (5/08) morning to get a document notarized. One of the front desk lady was able to help immediately, but upon reviewing the package, she mentioned that spaces cannot be completely blank. Luckily another nice lady confirmed those spaces could remain blank based on the information on that specific page. Long black hair lady who primarily was assisting me suggested I called my escrow company to confirm if the document needed to be a JURAT or ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and so I did and escrow officer confirmed that because we're already in California, a licensed notary republic just has to sign, stamp and acknowledge respectfully if all information is deemed correct. The AAA worker (not naming out of privacy) abruptly slammed her notary book shut and said she's not comfortable helping and doesn't want to notarize, while I was on the speaker with my escrow officer. So RUDE! Anyways, that AAA employee was giving La tóxica and her stank attitude was giving I don't want to work and chose to be miserable. I appreciate all the other ladies working since they were able to be so helpful with my previous visits to this branch. It was only this specific employee who needs to learn some manners & learn more from the other experienced ladies. I'm open to visit again, if I have to be more confrontational and address this concern specifically to her and/or with the manager in charge directly. As an AVID AAA member for over 15+years, please avoid being assisted by this specific branch. read more

She answered my questions, let me know what was needed, and I was able to have my daughter sign the necessary forms and return to the office without any hassle. I was paying for AAA plus RV. I was a member since 2002 it is now 2022. The first 8 years they came if and when I needed them The last two years, (2 times) I have waited, once over 24 hrs til I called and payed for a tow myself. The last time after 6 hrs the shop had closed it's gate. So I called my own tow truck again in the morning. I then called them to cancel my membership and I received no refund for the remaining 7 months of my membership. They have gone downhill. On top of this, AAA California be living in the 90s with their out of date forms of payment for a DMV license plate renewals. Cash or check payments. Credit cards are accepted IF its got YOUR NAME on it regardless of being joint or company accounts. At this point the DMV kiosks be putting your business out for renewals. Apparently, AAA is on the bandwagon of throwing paying members who have been with you for decades under the *RESTRICTIONS APPLY* wokeness that pay for an entitlement not to go through the CA DMV. Speaking on behalf of my father, who came home and said if I could write him this review: I have had this insurance for about a year now. I went in to get something changed to our policy, but the sales agent, Fe, was so pushy and unprofessional. She was trying to make more sales and make me spend more than I needed to. It pushed me to chang to All State that same day, who changed my policy and charged A LOT less than Triple AAA was charging me. (For the exact same thing!) Most, if not all the women who has their own desks here bleeds of attitude and bad customer service. We're proud triple A insurance policy clients and I've had a pleasant experience when we got our insurance policy but don't bother for their roadside assistance! If you're planning to get their roadside assistance, please advice. The women whom helped us gave us a "promotion" deal last year with a annual fee of $48/64 dollars with two persons on the membership. This year we were auto charged $74. Ridiculous price for two people. When we visited, we spoke to the first agent that politely explained why we were charged two different pricing, great. Not what were here for. When we're asked to transfer to a different agent that could have the authority to do these "promotion" offers, lord and behold we got the women who dealt with us last year. The minute we sat down she sharply asked my father (whom was the primary) "Are you going to remove her?" .... With a sickening tone and dodged at ME. Being the person I am, I let it slide to see if her tone of voice would change. Nope. Throughout the whole conversation she kept her demeaning attire and when she did "apologize" for not stating this policy was a promotion policy, she MUMBLED "sorry about that" are you serious? My father didn't know this policy price would change because SHE FAILED to mention it the first time! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU KNOW YOUR AGENT GIVES A RATS BEHIND ABOUT THEIR MEMEBRS. I've been trying to get an issue solved for almost 2 weeks with no reply from Juan one of the insurance reps. I've been emailing him over a dozen times and it seems he is clueless on how to do his job. He has no answer for any of my questions and no results. I've been with AAA for over 12 years and it seems AAA can not take care of their customers needs anymore. This branch has the worst customer service especially Juan! Unprofessional and never gets backed to you. I have copies of the unresponsive emails sent to him with clueless replies and still no answers. Horrible service! ZERO STARS. Workers here are rude and condescending, their attitude is horrible, just check out the other reviews. Hours are constantly changing without notice, and does not match the AAA website, or google, or yelp, or anywhere for that matter, I even called the 1-800 number on the member card and they informed me they close at 6, but they are always closed before 5pm. I got there earlier than 4:45pm one time and they refused to help. They will ignore customers unless you speak up and interrupt their chatting session, and when they do take a pause to look in the customers direction, they just glare like they are being bothered. I am sure AAA can hire better workers than these lazy ass crappy workers. If my employees treated my customers like this, they would be replaced very quickly. All they do is sit on ass all day, but they still can't do their job properly. This is the only AAA office I have been to that is bad like it is, all of the many others I have been to always exceed expectations and have great service. I was looking to purchase a FasTrak responder in person, since i didn't know my family's AAA login to purchase it through the website. Found out the transponder is out of stock and needed to order it online. No problem. I asked for AAA's customer service so they could help me access my family's account online to place the order. Called ahead of time to check hours and services. Explained my situation to a male on the phone, said he could help. When I arrived, a woman said she could not help me with a missing renewal payment (DMV website says to wait 8 weeks before calling about an unprocessed check, and not to put a stop payment). All the woman would say is that I could pay again and that I would have to pay the late fee. Waste of time. read more

I applied for a handicap placard & they said I needed to obtain a permanent one, because I went over the # of placards. I went to DMV. They gave me one right away. Same experience as Kristie P. The woman was talking down to me the whole entire time and making everything sound like it was my fault and didn't understand her policy. She changed everything she says every time I go in to ask her something. She always say it's me that didn't understand. I wrote down what she said and repeated back to her.
