What I really appreciated was the invitation to ride along during each lesson. Witnessing not only what was being taught, but also HOW it was being taught was invaluable. Having rode along with all three of my kids, 9 lessons deep, I think I would make an awesome addition to the driving staff!! All jokes aside, even after 36 years of driving experience, no tickets or accidents, I can genuinely say that I learned something from each lesson. He said that Rainier trained and prepared him well. His final lesson was 2 weeks ago, and they did a few routes of "mock testing" at the DMV on a Sunday when the DMV was closed. My first son had Eric as an instructor, and my second son had Rainier. We have had an excellent experience all around with Driving Eric Crazy and recommend them to all our friends who are looking for a referral. We are thrilled with the results and can confidently say that our older son (now 18 years old) is a fantastic and safe driver -- in fact, the ongoing chatter in his friend group is that he's by far the best driver of all his other teenage friends! Mikayla was able to meet with her the morning of the test for a two-hour lesson, and it made all the difference. She helped our daughter feel calm, confident, and truly prepared. What really stood out was how Mikayla coached her through the route the DMV personnel would take her on, which helped take away so much of the uncertainty and anxiety. They took the route several times to get her comfortable and familiar with changing traffic activity. By the time the lesson was over, our daughter felt comfortable and ready -- and she passed! Mikayla was also punctual and professional. And honestly, I think her youth helped her connect with our daughter in a way that made her feel more at ease right away. We were in a bit of a rush because my daughter had her driving test scheduled in two weeks. He was so accommodating to our busy schedule and we were able to fit all the sessions in prior to her test. He was very responsive and communicative throughout the entire experience. He would send reminder texts, let us know when he arrived, and be responsive to my questions. My daughter truly enjoyed her driving time with him too. He was very polite. Couldn't follow up yet because it takes a couple days for the DMV to note that you got your paperwork in well.
