AAA customer service has gone down hill in the past couple years. It takes weeks to get a hold of claims agents, Their claims department doesn't fully investigate collisions. I took my vehicle to one of AAA's recommended body shops and they "lost the photos and estimate" after i took a half a day off work. Damage happened 5/31 and today 9/11 they still don't have all the information. i will no longer do any business with AAA as they are over priced with bad service. read more

I called in to up date my auto insurance policy today 2/27/18 at around 5:30 - 6:00 PM First off on hold for over 30 minuets Then Dave comes on line ask what I need I tell him I receded an up date on my auto policy showing I do not have liability on my 1984 Volvo Dave tellers me he is only in sales and can't help me and he will transfer me to someone who can help me. Back on hold for I don't know? Then Paul comes on line Again he ask what I need I tell him all over again He tells me he can't help me and sites some law as to why? What do I know? Whenever I contact AAA, I am always thanked for my many years of Membership, over 25 at present. I have not had a bad experience with AAA Roadside Services, until this past Saturday. On our trip back home, my personal, AAA insured and covered vehicle experience sudden power loss. I was traveling with my fiancé and our two small dogs. We found ourselves stranded in a remote portion of a busy highway, in a dangerous high traffic situation. I was relieved to have Premier Roadside Service that would cover a 200 mile tow. I initiated a service call and was informed that the tow truck driver could only accommodate one passenger and no pets. I was disappointed and asked what options do I have to get us all home safely. The AAA representative offered non viable options due to our remote location and time of day. I felt distressed about the situation and had to resort to calling all our family and friends, canvassing for someone available to drive to our location to pick up my passenger and dogs. Meanwhile, I was awaiting an update on our tow service. After an hour, I attempted to call the AAA representative, without success. After several attempts, I made contact with one and had to explain my situation again, she checked on the status and explained they were still trying to find a towing service available. I asked to please keep us updated. A family member, who has also been a long time AAA member, was able to drive out to pick us up, from 100 miles away. After an additional frustrating hour without updates from AAA, I attempted to make contact. After several attempts again, I had to repeat our situation and was informed that they were still attempted to get a towing service. I asked to speak to a supervisor to expedite the process because it is now dark outside and had bean over two hours. I was eventually contacted by a supervisor, and I explained the situation. I was informed of their policy of only one passenger in the tow truck, and that they were experiencing difficulties contacting a provider. I asked if I could be reimbursed if I found a towing provider on my own. She explained yes and email me a form to do so. Within 10 minute, I was able to contact a tow truck driver who was able to respond and was on standby. I would have had to pay for the service and go through that hassle of being reimbursed by AAA. My Dad arrived on scene, to wait with us until a tow truck arrived. After three hours, AAA was finally able to find a towing service available for us. While waiting for them to respond, I was reflecting on how dissatisfied and disappointing I was with AAA Roadside Service: Lack of accommodation, lack of communication, lack of updates. We were fortunate to have family availability to assist in our situation. I am sympathetic to travelers that do not have additional assistance available and are reliant on AAA Roadside Service to help out their family in an emergency situation. I have been working with Ryan Chacon, the adjuster assigned to me, following a burglary in my home on April 20, 2017. AAA outsources their homeowners policies, but an employee of AAA is in charge. As a result, the mismanagement of my case is beyond description. For lost items, the adjuster requires purchase receipts for every item stolen. In the past, I've had State Farm, Allstate and Mercury Insurance for over a span of 40 years. Never been treated so poorly. Particularly, when a police report and other documentation required of me was promptly provided within a short time after the occurrence. read more

This company is not ran well and they need drivers that have social skills and respect for people. Worst treatment I've experienced. Would give 0 stars if I could. Called for roadside service for battery Jim at 7:55 pm. I was told that they would arrive st 7:35 pm, which was fined. At 7:15 pm received a call from service provider that they could not find me.... after speaking to service provider we realized that he was give address for Claremont and I was in La Cañada. 30 minutes away. When I first called I corroded the person on the address twice, but it appears they messed up and were not paying attention. Called AAA back and they were going to send someone else right away. 25 minutes later I get a text at 7:40 pm that service provider was dispatched and will arrive at 8:20 pm. I called AAA to complain and they said that they will have dispatch call me bc they cannot call dispatch direct..., they would call me in 1-2 minutes. I asked that they send a second service provider to respond since waiting til 8:20 pm was unacceptable and AAA made mistake. I called back 10 minutes later , waited 5 minutes and told AAA dispatch never called me back and I need roadside service ASAP! Was told that they can only issue another call and flag as urgent and that nothing else could be done, This is terrible customer service! AAA could not help me, could not call service provider direct to help expedite...... I pay AAA Membership for these very incidents, but with AAA dropping the ball, provide information bad customer service and able to provide NO solutions except to wait, hope and pray that roadside service finally arrives, then, this is why I will not renew my membership..... AAA has been know to be behind the times with changes in technology. Roadside Service was the last good thing, but it now appears there is nothing left. I was assured everything was good with my insurance they took payment and when my husband questioned the agent he LIED said everything was good. I've been paying for the AAA membership for 13 years now, I also had Auto and Renters insurance and have been a loyal customer up until now, 6 months ago my daughter was rear ended by a drunk driver, she was rushed to the ER that night, she lived and she's doing OK, thank God, In the meantime my car that she was driving was towed to a tow yard, I called AAA and they took a claim, and said that I had to take it up with other drivers insurance, I thought that was there job! ah, NO!. He even suggested I take the car out of the tow yard so not to avoid storage fees, OK, when I got to the yard, which is AAA affiliated, they refused my membership, said it wasn't covered, I called AAA and they tell me they only cover towing to a repair shop and NOWHERE else, are you kidding me? needless to say, I was stuck with a $450 bill, WTF have I been paying them for all these years? I bought a new car a month later and made the mistake of insuring it with AAA, my bill for the year was $2200, for a car I drive 500 miles per month, I kept the payments going for a few months until my debit card changed and they couldn't auto renew, I let it lapse, then I was getting calls from them to reactivate it, I asked for a revised quote based on miles driven and they refused, that's when I went insurance shopping, Geico was by far the lowest, they offered the same exact coverage for under $1300 a year! that's $900 in savings.. The good part of this story is, my membership and rental insurance recently came up for renewal, good timing! because I have NO intention to renew, I learned their really nice to you when collecting a payment, but when it comes to getting ANYTHING in return, they give you a whole lot excuses and red tape, and with a negative attitude.. I've had AAA insurance for 17 years, never used it until I was hit by an uninsured motorist in a stolen vehicle. I took pictures of the vehicle before it fled, and filed a police report. AAA confirmed by had full coverage and uninsured motorist coverage at the scene. The following day they called to antagonize me and changed their story regarding my coverage. They claim uninsured motorist only covers vandalism, and the claim has to be processed under my collision coverage. I also found out that my deductible had been changed without my consent. They refused to honor a reasonable estimate from a reputable shop, lied about their failure to follow up, and demanded that I hand over a personal check for $1,000 in order to process the claim. Overall, they've lied to me, and treated me like an adversary throughout the process. I might expect this from a disreputable cut rate company, but not from one which markets itself as reputable. The event occurred on May 22nd, today is July 8th. They've failed to follow up after giving me the metaphorical middle finger. Thankfully, I also have legal insurance. read more

My daughter and grandson stuck with a dead car battery. I've been a member of AAA for 30 years and never had a complaint, until now. Hard to get through, never sent a text when help coming and finally someone came 45 min past est time. I realize Covid but that doesn't mean customer service should be so poor. Employee Oliver Carillo-Gomez did NOT tell us all of the disclosed information in the contract and then he had the guts to tell us WE were wrong but it clearly says the facts in the contract! I called to see why I hadn't received a renewal in the mail. I pay a one time fee which usually gives me a different price than the statement ( which I had not received) i wanted to go over the price, and pay the fee. I contacted AAA and was transferred to BETZ.. she was so rude I thrown off. She stated 3 times in a row " We don't price match sir" keep in mind, I just wanted to go over billing, and pay. I was so frustrated, cause I noticed the expiration on my ins card.. not by them contacting me. BETZ took it even farther-- she went on to ask " would you like me to put in a request to cancel this policy I can see it was supposed to be renewed yesterday"-- I was so frustrated being that I had never received a renewal, and now she was asking if I wanted to cancel.... If you want AAA to return a phone call for insurance, this branch, nor the 800 number works. Neither return calls or are capable of performing the simpelest of tasks. Try a different insurance company. I spoke to the assistant to the C.E.O. and they were incapable of having an agent call me so I could add additional policies to my existing package. On 10/2/17 (last year) we discovered we had a slow water leak underneath my house in kitchen area, had to been leaking for quite awhile due to the damage the water had done underneath my floor, wall and cabinets. Triple A adjuster came to inspect on 10/11/17, very unprofessional. She talked to my contractors from Disaster Restorations like they were kids. She was rude, arrogant and demanding. We reported to her supervisor, on 10/18/17 we were assigned another adjuster to our claim. On 10/20/17 Triple A had their contractor Paley Stone & Tile Forensics come out to examine the damage on our tile. We explained to him what had happened, water leak underneath our house spraying in all directions and the damage was in the kitchen underneath floor & wall area. He examined my tile in the hallway, bathroom, foyer, game room & kitchen. It took him 2 hours, we didn't understand why he had to examine all my tile throughout my house when the damage was done only in the kitchen area. When we received his report he stated that we told him water was migrating on top of floor from kitchen through living room to the front door, we mentioned no such thing to him. We told him the leak was underneath our home in kitchen area spraying in all directions which caused damage to walls, floor and cabinets. Did he say that in the report to have an excuse to examine all my tile throughout the house? I believe so! He claims that the damage in the kitchen area was done from improper insulation & wear & tear. There was so much incorrect information on the tile report from Paley Stone & Tile Forensics. They don't want to fix my tile because they have to replace all my tile due to it being contiguous flooring throughout my house and the tile we have is no longer available. Their contractor Serv-pro came to inspect 3 times when we had our contractor working on drying our damage area. Our contractor Disaster Restoration mentioned to Triple A that the area underneath our house was not dry after their work was completed. We had meter readings to prove it, Triple A had their contractor Serv-pro come out to verify if it was still wet before they can approve more drying from our contract Disaster Restoration and it was in fact still wet. Triple A did not want to pay for more drying time and they had to. Triple A has refused again and again to pay for our damage floor that was done by water damage. We hired American Certified mold inspectors on 12/7/17 to check for mold under our house and there is mold now growing under our house because its still not dry! We are now in May 2018 and my kitchen is still not fixed. On 1/2/18 We hired Pride adjusters to help us with our claim and they have confirmed that the damage underneath our floor is done by water damage. Triple A has delayed our claim by not returning phone calls to Pride adjusters and claiming they sent letters which is untrue and giving us the run around stating they have not looked over Pride adjusters report. On 5/2/18 Wednesday I had faxed meal receipts for reimbursement, I mentioned on the fax to please confirm when received. On 5/3/18 again I had to ask if my fax was received. Finally a respond on 5/4/18 stating yes it was received and that I would be receiving my FINAL meal reimbursement and that she was hopeful that the processing of my check would be completed by the end of business day on 5/4/18, I responded back stating FINAL, please explain. Our case was still open, Pride Adjuster is handling our claim-please respond. On 5/7/18 I emailed again asking for explanation please respond to my last email sent on 5/4/18. Finally on 5/9/18 I received an email explaining Final reimbursement check. She was instructed that our case was close as of 5/5/18. We received no letter, Pride adjusters received no letter. Today is Monday 5/14/18, I have not received my check. On Friday 5/11/18 Pride adjuster finally got a hold of triple A asking why we were told claim closed & asked if our report was looked over and he stated he had not looked over report & he would call us back and yes our claim was closed as of 4/13/18. So which date 5/5/18 or 4/13/18? We were given 2 different dates!! We mentioned he had plenty of time to look over report we wanted an answer today, the adjuster from Triple A stated Ok the answer is no and we are not approving the damage on the floor. We have been with triple A since 2001 paying our insurance every single year with no complaints and this is what we are paying for!!. Our next step is to report to California department of Insurance and get legal help. DO NOT GET HOUSE INSURANCE FROM TRIPLE A. If your are considering getting Triple A for house insurance you better think twice. If you have had problems getting repairs approved from Triple A please post on yelp. read more

When I decided to change my insurance from Farmers to AAA, i initially thought I was doing a wise decision ! But only to find out now that I put my house in very delicate situation. When I got my bill, I paid a whole year of coverage. I never got a refund or return check. When i needed a declaration page, i was trying to download from the website, nothing. When I called customer service I got the shock of my life and learned that my coverage was cancelled and their system said I was refunded the money which I never did. If something would have happened to my house, I would not have been denied coverage because my policy was cancelled without me being notified but their syatem said I got notified. OMG! Terrible , terrible experience. Then now I was told that they can reinstate back my coverage and make the effectivity date the day it was cancelled?!?!?! Am I that dumb to sa YES! Of course NOT! Why would i pay AAA MONEY FOE MOTHS THAT I WAS DENIED COVERAGE NAD WAS NOT EVEN AWARE OF IT?!?! I want to go back to farmers now! read more

AAA has always been amazing with me. This last time, I accidentally backed into my friends garage with a U Haul knocked it a little bit off it's foundation, but totaled the door, not to mention all the paint cans that went flying inside. So I called U Haul first, because I had gotten the maximum coverage with them but had to return the U Haul truck for a smaller one. At that time U Haul failed to transfer the correct insurance over and said that they needed a signature on the blank screen and that was for returning the truck and picking up a smaller one. Do not use U Haul's insurance ever. So I called AAA and they have bent over backwards for me over the garage I took out. They paid my friend right away and that was Sandra Calderon working on that. And last but not least there is the wonderful Ryan Cope who has provided me with the best service and rates for many years. Those are the 3 people that I have dealt with at AAA and would never consider any other company. They are the best!!!! read more
