January 2025 - I have been with StateFarm Insurance for over a decade now. At this point, I don't…read moreknow if it's the cheapest, nor do I know if it's the most expensive. I'd say it depends on what your priorities are. She has been the representative that has helped me with everything from when I was married to when I got divorced, from liability-only to full coverage as an individual, from car accidents to used-car purchases, and now me and my partner are under full coverage and added their life insurance, for a solid package. I am middle-class and find them to offer reasonable rates, considering what I interest in. Last I checked their deductibles ranged from $500 (minimum) to $2k (maximum). The offer life insurance as well as other "perks" that can lower your payments, such as "low-mileage driver", good driving record, car kept in garage, etc. My priority has been to have stellar customer service through full transparency and support from my (Insurance) provider. My standards for this are through the rough, largely due to my learning disability's, etc. I am always able to get through to, and or get a response from Maren Pederson. She is highly responsive, proactive, effective, competent, patient, experienced/well-versed in her expertise, and INTERESTED in meeting the (human) client where they are at. That is where she leads from. The rest falls into place from there. She is a fabulous communicator- very accountable for her role in facilitating what StateFarm has to offer, as well as what they don't. She keeps me abreast of changes, allowing me to make informed decisions. She reaches out to me, by her own accord, if she feels there could be something of interest or concern to me. She does it with no pressure or expectation. Simple and plain - I highly recommend their services and their team.

I have been a State Farm customer for close to two decades - covering auto, business, home…read morecoverage. I have had one great experience after another. Whether it is working with my home office in Huntington Beach, CA or with adjusters and other customer service representatives over the phone, I have received the best rates and outstanding customer service. Recently I had a claim that was fraught with complications and nuances and dealing with another parties insurance company. For well over a year and a half, State Farm worked diligently to get me a fair and just outcome from the claim. Every person I talk to in person or over the phone is always professional, knowledgeable and polite - and more than anything is ALWAYS looking out for my best interests. I have had exactly the opposite when dealing with other insurance companies, unfortunately. I recently converted a family member who lives in another state to SF. In short, for one of the largest players in the insurance industry, I have always felt like I receive the best rates and service; and that I am a valued customer.

He made sure I was comfortable in the policy I was purchasing, trying to match the policy I had before. I ended with a policy that was a little more expensive than what I had prior, but I was able to make a confident decision in doing so because he was able to answer all of my questions thoroughly and professionally.

Apparently, there was some sneaky discount added that was about to expire. I decided to take matters into my own hands and spoke directly with the agency owner, Vivian. She assured me that she would resolve the issue and get back to me promptly. Two whole weeks went by, and I heard absolutely nothing from her. No communication whatsoever. To add insult to injury, when the end of the month finally rolled around, I was slapped with a much higher bill than I anticipated. How can a company be so unprofessional and dishonest? They lured me in with a seemingly good deal, only to hit me with unexpected charges later on. Vivian manipulated and deceived me.
