I wasn't sure if my car needed a smog, my registration was due in two days and I was unable to complete my registration so, I went into AA+. I had my last smog completed at AA+ two years ago. The location is open and clean. The service is quick and efficient. The price , probably going rate, just seems price going up every two years, $69.95 + certificate fee. read more

Perfect local smog shop. Set an appointment in and out very quickly done. Value and quality service.

I went here recently for a last minute smog check. He got me right in and I was not there very long. He was very efficient. I got my smog certificate and was right out of there. The cost was reasonable and about average. I liked their AAA certification. I accidentally overpaid and he made sure to chase after me to give me my change. I liked the honestly. Would go there again. read more

Found this place through a coupon in the paper , probably my first mistake . (It will never just be the price of the coupon , there's a $2 tax plus an $8 service fee ) . The owner wasn't the friendliest and seemed in a rush after I showed him my coupon even though no one else was in the shop . The second mistake I made was parking in front of the shop and not before it . This means it would require the technician to reverse my car and enter the door rather than just turn right into the shop if I had parked behind . I always make it a point to watch whoever gets into my car and moves it while I take it to get serviced (should've just done that BS myself ) . I witnessed this guy reverse , take the damn turn too early and scrape my bumper into the green curb in front of the shop causing a deep scratch and green paint to smear on my bumper . He knew exactly what he did . I let him enter the shop and as soon as he gets out I immediately walk to the front of my car and look at the scratch , first thing he says "I think your transmission is messed up , that was the noise you heard " . Guess integrity goes out the window when you just want to make a buck. READ AND LISTEN to the other nightmare reviews . They aren't lying. POS LIAR . 2nd photo description : This is the invoice with my information whited out for my safety as he seems unhinged , even dangerous . He blacked out the "state service fee" in substitution of his own fee.Hes clearly been robbing ppl for years & knows how to cover his tracks. bad luck will fall on this business one day, guaranteed. read more

This man knew my car wouldn't pass and still made me go through the process. This shop is a thief shop. They take customers money knowing a vehicle would not pass. There are plenty of other good smog shops, he stole $49 from me. Don't use this smog shop unless you want to get ripped off. This owner is a crook, read more

Good customer service. Very responsive. Took less than 20 minutes to perform the test.

I was there on Thursday with someone who was also thinking of having a smog check. We were having a conversation and the guy behind the desk said " no conversation inside it must be quiet, go to your car". We promptly left and went somewhere else. Was more than happy to spend $68 dollars not that AA+ Smog. read more

We called for a reservation. The service was completed on time, delivering exactly what we needed for the smog check. He took care of our car like it was his own. And to top it off it was less expensive than our last smog check 2 years ago. Highly recommended! read more

I have been getting my cars smogged here for the last 5+ years. Every time has been exceptional service. I highly recommend!

BEWARE!!! I would leave zero stars if i could. DO YOUR RESEARCH before coming here. Several weeks ago I brought in my car for a smog check. Simple enough, right? The employee asked for my keys to bring the car in when I here a bang. As he drove the car in, he scraped the bottom side of my bumper! When i went over to look at the damage he tried acting like nothing was wrong. I regret not calling the police to file a report. When i got home, i read his reviews and saw that he's damaged cars before! How is this guy still in business?! A report has been made to the better business bureau AND the IRS because when it was time to pay he kept pressuring me to pay in cash. Hmmm... maybe to avoid reporting all to taxes?? Shady business! Avoid at all costs!! read more

Mohammad is a great guy. He can be tough but it's usually people that don't want to accept their car didn't pass smog. He's just doing his job and has to abide by the shit regulations of California Governnent. They want everyone to be electric here but they can't keep the power going in the summer. Mohammad deserves a five star rating he's a great business person to work with. Nick M read more

Original comment: They charge you for every little thing. Owner just wants to squeeze u for every dollar. Don't even bother. He said he would charge me one price and charged me extra and said NOTHING to me about it until I mentioned it. EDIT: what I do on my own time is not your business. If it smelled bad then refuse service or shut the hell up. My car NEVER had weed smoke. AT ALL. And just look at the other 1 star reviews and how he responds. Like I said! NOT WORTH IT! Don't argue with me sir. Also, I have never been turned down by any mechanic for any reason INCLUDING you. You could've refused service but you didn't and that's on you not me. EDIT: This man is extremely unprofessional in his comments. That board was on the floor in the back. Why are you searching my car? There was nothing in the back or the floor for you to fix. There is nothing you can say about me so you bring marijuana up as if that would hurt me. Grow up bc you're acting like this at your prehistoric ass age and it's embarrassing for you. Too bad you can't take criticism. Your old ass is arguing with a anyone on yelp bc you can't handle a comment. Seek help. EDIT: he called me a whore and a N word with the hard R on the phone today...yea don't go here. read more

Smog check ready in 20 mins. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend to come!

Called up a few weeks ago to find out some details for getting my car smog checked (e.g. are they a star station, does the coupon apply, availability), and the guy who answered was rude and terse, hanging up immediately after giving a super short and incomplete answer to my question. I had to call three times in a row to get all questions asked, and only in the third one did he reveal that they would not even be able to do a smog check that day until late in the afternoon. Okay thanks, but this is the type of information you should lead with if a customer is asked smog service questions. They need to replace this guy with someone who has a positive helpful attitude and who understands that calls like mine are how to get more business. read more

Let's face it, you can get a quick and efficient smog check pretty much anywhere. And pretty much every smog check station charges the same price. So why then do I recommend AA+? Because (as their name implies) they give you AA+ friendly service. This was my second visit here, and both times Mohammed was my technician. Super nice, and beyond helpful. He makes you feel like family as he greets every customer like he's a long lost relative. read more

First of all I really don't like posting negative reviews. Unfortunately Mohammad the owner really doesn't care about customers or repeat business as I was. I understand that accidents happen. Last March beginning of COVID. I had to have my truck smog checked. I was just there the week before for a vehicle transfer smog. I'm going to cut to it he ran my truck into the side of his building! Then told me he had no insurance! I called the police they said it was a civil matter. I called Bureau of automotive repair no help. Mohammad told me to put it on my insurance and when I signed the work order he was released of liability . I had just recently switched insurance carriers and it was rough to get the claim quickly approved plus a 500 dollar deductible. My truck did pass smog and he gave me a "free" inspection and certificate. I went by a few months ago and asked Mohammad if he would pay my deductible . He said he would check with his insurance company! Now he has insurance??? WTF. No way to do business shady! And he also said most body shops cover the deductible! Now my truck is forever repaired... AA smog go at your own risk!!! read more

NO MASKS. NO DISTANCING. NO PPE !!! This review isn't really Smog Test related it's more of a PSA. I'm sure the test was fine just fine. The person helping me, seemed to be the owner, middle aged, gray beard, black hat. I went in wearing a mask. There were two customers in the small waiting area who were also wearing masks, barely 6ft apart. As I approached the counter I could see the person helping me had no mask, I asked if he had one, he pulled out a crumpled looking one and put it on, he then took no time at all letting me know his beliefs as far as COVID, going so far as to say there's no virus here only in China, Russia and Iran. I didn't ask! I let him know I wasn't interested in his beliefs. After I got my key back I wiped it down. Wiped my car down too as he drove it in and out. I FOUND THIS PLACE TO BE VERY DISRESPECTFUL WITH REGARD TO POTENTIALLY EXPOSING CUSTOMERS TO A DEADLY VIRUS BECAUSE OF THEIR WARPED, MISGUIDED BELIEFS. read more

1. I got a same day appointment. 2. I paid the price on the coupon (my car is only four years old and is a small car) 3. The test was fast. 4. They sent the smog report to the DMV for me. Very happy with this shop. Very patient as I worked through some repairs to get my car smogged. Extremely helpful, and knowledgeable!

It pays to look up yelp reviews! I recently moved into the area and was a little worried about finding a trustworthy smog check guy. There are just too many out there that it's a little overwhelming to figure out who can do what I need without charging too much. Thanks to yelp reviews, I landed at AA+smog and I am so relieved. The process only took about 15 minutes, the guy explained what he was doing and even tried several times to make my car pass. If you're in the area, AA+ is worth it. read more

Quick and efficient. I was able to get my STAR certified smog check here in 20 minutes. Cost was $60 ($10 for STAR check). Professional.

I had brought my cars to him for many years, even though his smog price is not the cheapest. I didn't mind paying a little extra and staying with the same guy for long time. But this time he went too far, he won't honor oral agreement making any excuses to dig more money out off my pockets for doing a simple smog. I am being my cars for smog at Millbrae 76 for smog. Easy, simple and quick smog check. Totally reasonable pricing. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Everything passed and sent directly to DMV. Prices listed in the shop, on his website, and he'll tell you up front. If you have issues and confusion about the price it's probably your fault. Have gone for several years , seems to always be a contentious situation on the coupon - the cost for this place is good with coupon but the owner is ready with a list of reasons that it can not be used ADVICE: Make sure to confirm coupon and cost in advance or you might come across the list... , also after becoming a familiar face at a business you expect to get a little favoritism and even though it's not a bad place or owner a bad guy , you sometimes feel a bit nickel & dimed . Gonna give a new place a chance on the next smog and move AA+ to back up for now. read more

I never post reviews but felt compelled to do so on this issue. My family just had a horrible experience with AA Smog on California Drive, near the main fire station. Having stopped in the temporary parking spot, we were picking up our kid from a class. The owner came out and called my wife an expletive IN FRONT of our children, no hello, query, or discussion. I have heard this guy has done this kind of thing before. He then proceeded to call me a racial slur, all because we parked in front of his business, with the back tire approximately 8 inches beyond the green curb. Of course we all can choose what businesses to support, but I ask you all to consider not using this business. Thanks for your time. read more

So this is my second trip to this shop in 6 months. The first time everything went smoothly. The second time which was about 45 minutes ago, not so much. I bring my car in with the penny saver coupon and everything is going well until I make the mistake of trying to make small talk with the owner. Apparently, I had stepped on one of his hoses and that completely set him off. He started yelling, cursing and threatening me. I was in shock at how this person was talking to another person (me). Needless to say I got out of there in a hurry and never ended having my smog done. DON'T EVER GO TO THIS SHOP. I don't know if this guy was having a bad day or what but cursing at and threatening someone is not an appropriate response to someone stepping on your hose. read more

Horrible service. I actually stopped in front of the shop to make sure this was the shop my buddy told me to go to. A man that ran the shop walked out and told me to get out of there and he didn't want my truck parked in front of his shop. I explained that i'm getting a smog check and he told me "Not from here." I've never had such a horrible experience with a auto establishment. It felt like he didn't like the way I looked and didn't need my patronage. AA+ gets a F in my book. read more
