I'm giving these guys one star because they earned it. I'll tell you what happened and you can decide for yourself. I called AA and asked about getting my keys programmed. They said oh yeah we can probably do that. I was close to the shop one day and decided to stop by with the car and the keys I needed programmed. The guy who would work on my car was there that day. He was working on something and couldn't be bothered to come talk with me. The guy at the front desk went back and talked to him. He came back a couple minutes later and told me no problem, he can do it. Ok great. I stopped by to confirm you in fact can take care of my problem and you said yes. I made an appointment for a day when childcare and work would allow me to drop the car off. The day came and I was excited to get my keys programmed. I dropped off my car and paid for a driver to take me home. An hour or so after arriving home I received a call from AA informing me that in fact they could not program my keys. Good think I stopped by two weeks earlier in person to ask a couple questions and confirm that! Tried to get a key done for my Ford F150 here, unfortunately the keys that they had didn't go with the software they had to program it so they had to order one. After waiting for several weeks I gave up. Fantastic prices on transponder keys! I needed a new transponder key (a key that requires a computer chip to operate the car) for my Nissan Pathfinder. The dealer quoted me minimum $175 for a replacement key and up to an hours wait to make the new key. Honest folks. I lost the last key to my 2007 outback, which was in the PDX long term garage.. They quoted me $190 ot come out, cut a new key and code the transponder. When they got there, I had an old key that no longer worked. He said he could reprogram it, and dropped the cost to $100. They had me with no options, and did the right thing. The ignition has gotten stuck on our 2006 Durango a few times, but this time we couldn't get it to turn, no matter what we did. I was referred to this company by another locksmith who said he couldn't help me. So I called, and Jason tried to talk me through on the phone how to get it unstuck. I wasn't able to get it free, so he said he would send someone over to my house. This was at 6:30pm!! Arne showed up, and got it unstuck in about 5 minutes, and then turned it on several times to show it was working. He said it would do it again, that it was a known issue with Dodge, and it would be $167 to replace the ignition and re-key it to our current keys. Our mechanic said $400-$500!! He showed me how to get it working if it did it again before we got it replaced. I asked him what I owed him for coming out to get it unstuck, and he said he was told not to take any money from me! I had been so stressed out all day, we needed the vehicle to get our toddler twins to daycare the next day, which I had told Jason on the phone. I nearly cried. We will definitely be bringing our car in to have the ignition switched out next week. I'm so grateful to these two men for taking the time and going out of their way to help us, and not expect anything for payment. read more
