Less than 3 months after this happened the car failed again because the other cable was worn and not replaced. Disappointing because I asked about the other connection and was sure Abel said both would be replaced. If he's still in business I guess it's a good sign. Just double check finished product if you can visually. Good advice for and service one might receive. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. My dad found this place online because my brakes kept squeaking. Abel either meets you or you can go to his shop. I decided to drive to the shop. At first I was a little put off because he had to change my appointment time back half an hour, but he was running late from another job so I didn't really mind. When I finally found the place (it's kind of hidden) they were really nice. I thought my front brakes needed to be changed so I left my keys and Abel told me to come back in 2-3 hours. It didn't even take them 2 hours (which is always good when they end faster) but when he called me I was all the way on the other side of town, not expecting to be back for at least 2 hours. It kind of sounded like they were rushing me to pick up my car since he was done, which kind of put me off, and he told me he changed my repair, which made me uneasy. When I got there, I found out that it was actually my emergency brake that needed repair and he didn't even change the price. He only fixed what needed to be fixed and informed me of everything he changed or repaired. Also, at that moment, I could understand his urgency to go home after a long day so any previous feelings I had went away. Abel is a very honest man and I can appreciate that in a mechanic. He's not your jiffy lube or any other quick & get it done repair. He's a real mechanic and a hardworking one at that! I would recommend him to anyone and I would go back when I need something fixed. read more

I waited about 4 weeks following my poor experience with this company to leave this review, and I can only justify providing them with one star due to them coming to me. Coming into Vegas our brakes started grinding. I called Midas and was quoted $160 for pad replacement and around $350 if rotors needed work. I then called this mobile mechanic and was quoted $160 for pads or $190 if rotors needed work. He also stated his quotes are not exact but the final price would not exceed $20 more than his quote. Obviously I was excited for the worst case scenario being much cheaper and I didn't need to drive on the grinding brakes. When the mechanic showed up around 1 pm, he realized he brought the wrong brakes, left, and returned 60 minutes later. He then realized my front brakes were not the issue, left, and returned 90 minutes later with break pads to replace my rear brakes. The mechanic finished his work around 7 pm local time. He wanted to charge me $100 per hour ($600) and $100 for parts, for a total of $700, after saying his quote for the service he performed would not exceed $180 ($160+20). I ultimately negotiated to pay $400 (much more than deserved). Now for the kicker- Pulling out my wallet, he refused to accept payment in full with my debit or credit card, as he saw cash I planned to use later on the strip. I offered to pay with credit or debit, but he insisted I give him the cash I had to cover the bulk of the cost. At this point I was so annoyed with this gentleman, so I paid in combination of cash/credit and he left. Overall, I would not suggest this company to my worst enemy as I had a horrible experience. Used the bulk of my day while charging me for his mistakes and driving time. When reporting my vehicle model I would assume a mobile mechanic to come prepared. I would likely call a different mobile mechanic next time. In this case, what seemed "too good to be true"- absolutely was. I hope I save the next tourist that needs a mechanic some money and time by leaving this review. read more

I have used Abel in the past and have always been satisfied with his work and price. The issue with my 2000 Buick Park Avenue Ultra (super charged) with 131,000 original miles was leaking fluid from the engine. I tried to track it down as best I could but my disabilities only allows me to do so much anymore. As a result, I brought the vehicle in to a Nationally Recognized Shop to diagnose and give an estimate for repairs. I was told the leak was from my water pump... Parts and labor was estimated at $692.00 (labor alone was $116hr for 5 hours)... When I looked at the estimate I saw a lot of padding on it like they would have to move the Supercharger, bypass the A/C and power steering. Then I also noticed the new Water Pump was going to be $65.00... I told them I must confer with my spouse. Getting home I researched online at Auto Zone for the part. As I figured, it was $35.00. So I called Abel, and set up an appointment for noon the next day . He was about a 1/2 hour late, acceptable as he called and informed me about it. Able worked on my water pump for 1hr 45 mins. Since I bought the parts the night before, my total charge from Abel was far less than half of the $692. I am pushing business Abel's way, giving him any future business of mine and recommending him to all Yelp followers without reservation!! To the person who was not satisfied, NO we are not FAKE!!! Perhaps we have an empathetic understanding of what folk deal with who are self-employed in a Service Industry...Perhaps your mom's vehicle will be towed to a dealership next time! smh read more

Great customer service! We had a dead car battery this morning. I left a voice message with a request for assistance; received a call back pretty quick; made an appointment; and the work was done. Will definitely keep their number handy for future use. read more

A great value for your money! I used this service and found them to be knowlegeable and fairly priced. Also they have good customer service and awareness!.... I have used other mobile repair services and found them to be rude and over-priced. I will keep their business card in my wallet and suggest their repair services to my friends. read more

Car wouldn't start this morning, thought it was the battery.. Decided to call based on the ratings and happy I did. Abel said he would be by in an hour, got here in 45 minutes. Explained what he was doing every step of the way. Found out wasn't the battery, starter cables were loose. He was able to fix it and didn't have "extra.things that needs to be done". Able said he fix what needs to be done so you csn be on your way. Very courteous..will keep this business card. Thank you! read more

I called at 6pm this evening to have someone come out and look at my car. I'm having issues with the crankshaft pulley that is wobbling and making and clanking noise. The guy who answered said he was in a Cox store and would call me back in 10 minutes. That was 5 hours ago and still no call. For a company that says they are open 24 hours, they sure don't seem to want business in the middle of the evening. read more

Worst (supposed) mechanic I've ever dealt with!!! EVER!!! Steer your car away from Able and take it to a reputable mechanic! My car only made it a mile down the road before breaking down, after Abe "fixed" my car! This genius put my thermostat in backwards and charged me $250 for the the shoddy work! He refused to refund any of my money, even after I provided Abel with a letter from the qualified mechanic that fixed the damage that Abel caused. The letter contained the qualified mechanic's name, the business name, address and phone number, explaining the damages Abel caused and an invitation for Abe to call him, so the competent mechanic could explain to Abel how to avoid making the same mistakes on anyone else's car. Abe refused to admit his mistake, refused to talk with the qualified mechanic, refused to learn how not to make the same mistakes and refused to refund ANY of my money...THEN Abe called me a host of names, incuding vile, Satan's aid and the Devil, while claiming to be a "Good Christian" man. Good men, Christian or not, do not steal from their customers, nor treat people this was way!!! BTW, BEWARE of Abe pushing you to pay in cash! That's how he gets away with continuing to rip off unsuspecting customers. read more
