The woman working there was extremely rude--she made an inappropriate and uncalled-for comment about my husband's stomach, saying he looked pregnant. Overall, the experience was unwelcoming and unprofessional. We will not be returning.

On June 1st 2023 I discussed my needs with Veronica at BL Med Spa in Camarillo, very thoroughly…read morebefore she had done any work on me. I also told her my new job starts the following Monday and my daughter's birthday was the upcoming Saturday. Normally this would not have been an issue as it would have been all healed up by then. I have been getting fillers and Botox for about 20 years now. I have always gone to Peter Karlsberg, MD in Ventura, but I wanted to stay local in Camarillo and get some fillers. I told the technician who was putting the numbing cream on me that this will only last 10 to 15 minutes on me. Same with Novacaine ect. I asked him to please do not wait too long as the numbing effect will dissipate. I'll make this short despite the fact that it is not. These are the treatments I received from Veronica: 2 syringes of Voluma RHA 2/ RHA 3 It was not as some of these reviews state. Yes they were friendly, as they should be. As well, some post that they are reasonably priced, their products are higher than the average M.D doing fillers in the Ventura County area. I had specifically expressed to Veronica that my 1st priority was my Nasolabial folds (lines between your nose and cheeks) needed filler. Veronica said that it was due to bone loss and she couldn't use filler above the nostril line.... ???? This was 'a first' in 15 plus years. My 2nd priority was my lips, I like them fairly full and puffy/pouty, which we also discussed. By the time we got to the injections the numbing cream had worn off, and it has in the past but they just reapply numbing cream and wait 5 minutes, yet this was not the case in this facility. The injections in my cheek bones were extremely painful as I could feel everything. When Veronica started on my lips I came out of my seat. I told her I could feel that and I am not numb any longer. Veronica's response was that there is lidocaine to help with the numbing, yet that was after it pierced your skin that was not numb. Veronica used 2 syringes of Voluma in my cheek bones, which after the product settles it leaves a dip between your lower eyelid and cheekbone if too much filler is injected. So, that is now what I have. My lips, I will need to go back to my Dr, Dr Peter Karlsberg in Ventura to have my lips redone and fill the pockets under each of my eyes. The total cost of this experience was $2435.00 with $1500.00 paid in cash (no cash discount-very unusual) I have included photos from the day after up to this morning of very visible bruising. Along with a billing statement. Expensive lesson that's all I can say. S.W.

It's less than half the price of Spa Ojai. The Float Spa itself is really really small. However, booking a massage gets you free self-parking, and you get a pool key for the day. The pool has a bar where you can mobile order food and drinks right to your seat. It's expensive and takes a long time though. Save it for after your massage for sure. Why only 4 stars? Well, there is no locker room, which I would have really appreciated. Just bathrooms to change in. They are nice enough, but I would have liked a locker to keep my stuff in so I didn't have to drag my clothes with me around all day. Also, I said medium pressure, but my version of medium seems to be that therapists version of light. I did say when she started that I do actually like a little firmer pressure, but it didn't change much. Not a deal breaker though. It was still an incredibly relaxing massage.

I don't know the therapists name, but she started the massage with nice pressure and then the lotion came. Freezing cold lotion. She did turn on the table warmer but it was freezing in the room and no lotion/oil warmer. They turned off the air- it was BLASTING in the room but I couldn't relax being rubbed with freezing lotion. In addition to the cold- the therapist had either long nails or calloused hands I could feel with every stroke! So gross to feel scratching when I'm trying to relax. I appreciate that I could book myself online as smaller business it's a text/call situation. After my first massage I immediately signed up for the membership. I was hesitant until I asked more and realized it's not an additional cost to be a member, it's just a way to prebook once a month. No gimmick. No catch. Just a 6 month commitment and best part, credit rolls over. Kind of unheard of these days. Additionally Donzell was the best. I knew I was with the right person once he said he worked on football players. I'm very active and always had tight traps. Two sessions in and I'm already feeling a difference (this is with additional work on my own too, stretching, acupuncture). And price does match quality of experience. 10/10, new customer turned member.

After the service I mentioned the color was too light and she insisted it wasn't. Even solicited a colleague's opinion (something I learned was common practice in salons with unhappy customers). She stated it looked lighter due to "the lighting " and sent me on my way up charging me an additional $30. Being uncomfortable and conflict avoidant, I paid and tipped 15%. When I got home I took pics of the color in various lighting. Instead of a gray streak, I had a light brown one. She offered to do a repeat however, I did not trust her judgement and gaslighting tendencies. Said I was willing to have a redo by the owner of the shop which she was non-responsive to. She offered a $90 refund less her "product fee". She never replied to my question regarding the price increase. Carol was delightful to converse with during the service rendered. She probably does a fine job with her normal clients. For me and this root job, she missed the mark. Her attempts to convince me it was the right color, just angers me. I communicated with the owner via text after leaving a few VM's. She apologized for the experience and had no comment regarding the increased price. I'm hitting the box and doing it myself if I'm ever in this situation again!

I've been coming here on and off for years for Botox and have generally had good experiences. After not visiting for a while, I decided to try Dysport instead. Candy reviewed my chart and used what I believe was the equivalent dose in a different toxin. Unfortunately, after spending about $600, I was left with a prominent horizontal line in the middle of my forehead that hadn't been addressed. I returned for a follow-up, and Candy offered to add more product, but explained there wasn't much she could do because of the proximity to my brow. I understand that treating near the brow requires caution, and I've had that discussion with other providers before. However, this particular line is in a different area and has always been treated successfully by previous injectors. Five weeks later, the line is still very noticeable and is something I see every day. Would I return? Only if they offer a killer deal. The office is convenient, and I've had good experiences in the past. However, I would have a more detailed conversation beforehand about the treatment plan and my expectations to make sure we're on the same page, especially as my face and treatment needs change over time.
