Fast forward 9 years, it stops working. I emailed True Blue and Steve (owner) now tells me that there was only a 5 year warranty ( I even sent them the warranty card that I registered) He did send his guy right out. Joey was very nice. He cleaned the igniter and it fired right up (but only 1 time). It took him about 20 minutes total. Joey recommended they we replace igniter and flame sensor because they were "only sold in pairs" (this was not true as you will see in the photos). (Now for the bad) I had previously researched the parts, which were $41.00 for both. I asked Joey how much it would cost to replace both the igniter & flame sensor. He said that he called his office and they said $829.00. Really? For a 45-minute job? I asked Joey to break down the parts and labor and he said "I can't do that". I then asked "that must be about 5 hours of labor, right? (they charge $145/hour) He was very hesitant to answer but replied "maybe 3 or 4 hours labor". I paid True Blue $145 (1-hour min charge) and he left. So much for taking care of a loyal customer. I ended up calling another company. They came out and did a complete tune up. They charged me $165 total for everything, including the new parts. They also confirmed that my parts were in fact under warranty (but not the labor) . I am one of those people who is very loyal to a company that takes good care of me. In this instance, I 100% believe that True Blue was trying to take advantage of me.

All three times, the cost was totally reasonable. In fact, for all 3 services combined I paid less than a single visit from a franchised plumbing company cost for a single visit. The techs have all been great at explaining maintenance for things, and scheduling with them is wicked easy.

Weird but fine, if the text etiquette is on point. His was a mess. He asks me to take pictures inside and out, of the windows. Ok sure, but I'm one town over and you could just pop by. He asks what I want, I say picture windows. He sends me a picture of double hang and says he recommends them. Don't need them. Then he just TEXTS me a price range. Red flag. Where's your quote with the type of door being used? Also, the number is high. I ask for the SKU to look it up on my own. He sends me a generic link to an affiliate landing page for DOUBLE HUNG DOORS. Ok, so here's where you have to use your best judgement. These guys have great ratings on multiple pages, so they obviously do excellent installs. But that doesn't mean they aren't ripping people off, because you can get similar work done for MUCH cheaper. That's where I got him, bc he wasn't willing to disclose where his range was coming from and then immediately tried to pass me off to Renweal by Anderson, which is widely known as THE biggest price-hike in the game. The safe bet with them is whatever they quote you initially is about double what it should actually cost. So it makes sense the owner thought it's a reasonable peer in the industry. Then he weirdly started text-harassing me when I passed on his offer. Piss off.

After I spent the money to demo the area to do the job; they said can't be done by us. They should have just said it was beyond their abilities. They are unscrupulous; charging and charging knowing they can't do the job. It's not that the job can't be done; they just don't have the skills with these units. Go else where for installations and seems repair jobs are overpriced and sketchy from other reviewers.
