Everything went BETTER than ok! It was perfection. Our driver, Sal, showed up a few minutes early, but told me not to rush - he just wanted to let me know he had arrived. He performed a miraculous feat of Tetris and got all our bags into the back of his immaculate black Yukon. He asked if we had everything we needed and patiently waited while we picked up those last few bits and bobs. We snuggled into the beautiful leather seats for a comfy and stress free ride to the airport. Not a speck of dirt or stray unusual smell could be sensed. We felt like royalty! Sal showed us the video screens, multiple chargers and various other delightful added touches, and assured the temperature was to our liking. We watched YouTube videos about our travel destination in stress free comfort and chatted about our coming vacation while he skillfully and safely got us to the terminal. what a difference from our usual airport transport struggles. When we arrived at the terminal, Sal again helped us with our bags, checked the vehicle to make sure we had left nothing behind (um, we had) and a quick credit card swipe and a tip later, we were on our way! The cost was very reasonable - cheaper than an off site lot would have been for the time we were planning to be gone - especially if we had to take 2 vehicles because of all the luggage. Thanks to the yelpers, I found Motor City Limo and called them 3 months prior to the trip to book the transfer to/ from the airport / hotel. A few days prior to the trip I get a confirmation email, and then on the day of the trip I get an email reminding me of my pick up. The only down part is, if you don't have access to email, you would not get this reminder. As I landed I got an email telling me my driver was on the way and a photo of Anton. Then I got a text message telling me he's at the Coffee Bean with an iPad sign. Total communication .. love it! He was so easy to find, and we had no communication problem. Anton was a great driver and guide. Our SUV was warm and he even gave us bottled water to sip on. Chatty but not overly chatty, and gave us tips on what to do in Detroit. I asked Motor City to allow me to tip the driver with cash, and I gave Anton a very generous tip for a job well done. On the day of our return we had "GG" and she was excellent as well. Bright and early at 7 am on as Sunday, she was chipper and friendly. She grew up in Detroit and told us how things have changed in the new Detroit revival. Just like our arrival, Motor City gave me plenty of confirmations and notifications, so I did not stress if my reservation would be there or not. I received a frantic call from my bride standing in front of the hotel where she was supposed to meet the shuttle to take her and the bridal party to the venue and there was no shuttle. I called dispatch in a panic and they didn't have an answer for where vehicle was. They said the driver had left on time an hour prior but was now MIA. The 30-person shuttle we had booked for 10 hours of transfer service never showed up. They eventually sent a small SUV ~6 hours after our service was scheduled to start, but that didn't help much. Rather than enjoying our wedding day, I spent the afternoon and evening trying to coordinate rides for grandparents, family members and other guests from the hotel to the venue and then back to the hotel at the end of the night. MCL has since refunded my money but that doesn't begin to compensate for the chaos they caused. I would not recommend this service for anyone planning a wedding.

Here's a list of the negative things that occurred in the time I was doing business with them: 1. On our wedding day, the office admin, Courtney, called me at 2:30pm to say that the limo we ordered wasn't available because the AC was broken. Never fear...there was a party bus. Which we didn't want. But okay...too late. 2. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was pleased to see the bus there. I met the driver - who was high AF - and was promptly told I needed to fork over $200 in cash as a "driver's fee." Not only had I not been told about this, but when I called Luxury (and talked to Courtney), she said it was standard. 3. When I walked into the bus to inspect it, I was greeted by...a total lack of air conditioning. On a 90-degree day, this wasn't going to be acceptable. The driver said he'd work on it, but no new vehicle came, and I eventually ended up talking to the GM - Ali - who informed me there was nothing that could be done...there was not another vehicle. (So all the guests ended up driving themselves.) I told Ali I'd call him on Monday so we could get the refund processed. 4. That was June 24. After a phone call with Ali, who passed me to the owner - Sam - who passed me back to Ali - both of whom promised a refund - everyone ghosted me. I had the office number and left messages, and I had the cellphones of both Ali and Sam - and no calls or texts were returned for a month. By July 20, I was done. Because there were two different charges - the deposit and the remainder of the cost - I had to dispute the former with Venmo and the second with American Express. Both were thankfully approved, and we ultimately received our money back - but no thanks to this joke of a company that deserves to perish in flames of bad reviews, terrible customer service, and a near-total lack of personal and business ethics.
