Yesterday my brother totaled my truck and was rushed to MCH after being hit by an 18-wheeler head on. I had someone on location of the wreck since I was at the hospital frantic, not knowing if my brother and his passenger were even alive. I spoke to their driver and made arrangements for my truck to be taken to my kid's house. (ALREADY AWARE they will fuck you any chance they get) My contact on location speaking with the driver agreed to pay them upfront for the fees (because be damned if they do it w/o payment first) He quoted us somewhere up to $175 to take it 2 miles. GREAT, AGREED and done deal, I thought.... my contact and the driver called me back to verify I agreed to her taking the belongings thrown over the road, and in the back of the truck. 2 hours later, still sitting in the waiting room of MCH to find out the fate of my brother, my contact calls me to tell me they took it to impound because there wasn't any insurance in the vehicle. OMG, WTF is wrong with y'all?? You didn't mind calling me to verify you would get paid and how, get my consent on the belongings (ALL tools of value) BUT YOU COULDN'T contact me to ask me to send my insurance card to you?? NOOOO you sideways ass, no good for nothing POS, greedy and living off the backs of locals with the help of OPD. So, today I call and ask why, they say the driver says he NEVER spoke to anyone at the scene. And I tell her how SHITTY that is to now instead of $175, I have to have $650 to get it AT MINIMUM. Then this bitch tells me "He didn't quote you $175 because the fee at minimum is $450. I asked, "what the fuck for" she replied "FOR GOING OUT TO THE CALL" Are you serious?? OPD called you for the kickbacks they get. There are OTHER HARDWORKING, HONEST, AND FAIR TOW TRUCK COMPANIES. And by damn we should get a say about who OPD has a contract with or what company gets our business. You mean to tell me this is what this company charges every accident they get called to?? On top of that, the come haul the vehicle off, NOT ON YOUR BEHALF, then charge you some bogus as price, and if you don't come pay their price, they "auction" your vehicle and charge you for that as well and add it to YOUR CREDIT. Knowing these greedy, dirty bitches are junking it making money off your shit, or they offer you to bring your title to them, sign it over and they will charge you another $250 on top of what bogus ass charges they already have figured up.
