My father was admitted to Bellevue Post Acute after a stroke on April 30, 2026 for rehabilitation…read more Prior to admission, he was able to walk with assistance and was expected to receive physical, occupational, and speech therapy to improve his condition and prepare him to return home. Unfortunately, our family's experience was deeply disappointing. During his stay, I frequently observed my father sleeping, difficult to engage, and often unable to participate meaningfully in conversations. By the time he was discharged approximately three weeks later, his physical condition appeared significantly worse than when he arrived. The medical records provided by the facility show that his Quetiapine (Seroquel) regimen was increased from once daily to twice daily during his stay. The records also show administration of melatonin and olanzapine. Physical therapy notes documented that he was "extremely somnolent" and required maximum verbal and tactile cues to stay awake, and the therapist consulted nursing staff regarding possible medication adjustment. Most concerning, the physical therapy discharge summary states that the patient exhibited "little to no functional progress as a result of skilled rehab." For a patient admitted after a stroke specifically for rehabilitation, this is very troubling. The discharge process was equally disappointing. Despite my father's significant physical limitations, our family received inadequate support in arranging post-discharge services. Necessary referrals, home health coordination, caregiver assistance, equipment recommendations, and follow-up services were not properly organized before discharge. We spent weeks trying to obtain referrals, records, and assistance that should have been addressed as part of discharge planning. The lack of social worker support and care coordination at discharge left our family struggling to secure the services and equipment my father needed. Instead of a smooth transition home, we faced delays, confusion, and significant additional stress while caring for a stroke patient with substantial mobility and cognitive challenges. In addition to concerns regarding his care, obtaining records has been an ongoing challenge. Despite repeated requests, I experienced significant delays in obtaining documentation related to an incident that occurred during his stay. While some medical records were eventually produced, I continue to seek incident reports, investigation records, witness statements, and other documentation related to the event. Every family must make their own decision, but based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this facility to closely monitor their loved one's medications, therapy participation, rehabilitation progress, discharge planning, and communication with family members throughout the stay. This review reflects my personal experience and observations, as well as information contained in records provided by the facility.

I would rate this place a TRUE HELL HOLE…read more Almost 7 years ago, I was at Bellevue Post Acute, then Mission Heallth Care. The care was great with the exception that the person that gets the medication list from the hospital did not order my meds until hours after I arrived. Having to take critical meds every 12 hours caused me to have my kids go to my home and bring my meds to the facility. Recently I was hospitalized and requested to return to Bellevue Post Acute. I made sure the hospital sent my med list over to BPA that morning. Upon arriving at BPA, the same problem with my meds happened. They could not be delivered until after 1 am when I needed to take them at 8 pm. I had arrived at BPA after 1 pm. Around 6 pm, I was told their records showed I was not taking the meds the hospital sent over. I corrected them. My meds had not even been ordered by 6 pm!! I couldn't believe this was happening again. Again, I had to have my kids that evening spent over an hour go get my meds. I spent a week at BPA and checked myself out because of the unbelievable conditions. The meals were never on time, sometimes up to over 2 hours late. I barely ever received what the slip which came with my meal said I received. One morning I received a piece of toast and hash browns. I asked where's my fruit and eggs? After my nurse went to the kitchen, she came back and stated they were out of food. My daily meds were usually late. One day over 2 hours late. When I went in my wheelchair to ask the med gal if I could have my meds I was told I would have to wait. I was not allowed to get out of bed without help to use the rest room. I buzzed for help and 2 1/2 hours later, a gal came to help me. She was running into my room gasping for air. She told me she had 25 patients to take care of. I reported this to the Director of Nursing. I was told that was a Medicare Rule, which I couldn't believe. I attended chair exercise classes. I was in disbelief when a patient from an Isolation Room wheeled himself into the exercise area each day. He was exposing everyone to whatever he had!! I went to BPA because I had a severe gout attack, which affected my ability to walk. Unknown to me at the time, the hospital had me on a special gout diet. This meant no beef, pork or shellfish. BPA was totally aware of this and never altered my menu. I was eating foods that caused flares and excruciating pain!! On a Monday I went to the Social Workers Department and told them I was leaving that Thursday. I heard nothing from anyone about checking out. I went to the Director of Nursing's Office and was told there was nothing on her records stating I was to check out. The remainder of the day, I contacted a gal by I think her name was Alisha. She had already left for the day. Her voicemail was full, so I texted her. I was told my daughter had to sign papers which were never sent. Thursday morning, an associate of Alisha came into my room and told me that since I was checking out against their advice that I couldn't take my meds with me. I needed my new med and panicked. I called my MD and she called an order in to my pharmacy for me Alisha also called my daughter and requested I stay at least another 3 days so she could get paperwork processed. My daughter replied, "my mom is checking out at noon." "You were informed Monday morning she was leaving Thursday." I was told by Alisha that Physical Therapy and a Home Health Nurse would take about a week to start coming to my home. It's been a month since I left and I have not had a Physical Therapy Person or Nurse contact me. I will say the nurses at BPA were great. That's about the only good thing I can say about this place. The kitchen, social services and the person that orders meds needs desperate help. What happened to me, especially with the meds is happening to every patient there. This place is a TRUE HELL HOLE!!!

They are amazing at implementing this mission. Our father (a 94 year old retired UW professor) suffered from progressive dementia, and wanted to live out his life in 'his old home'. Our family of three sibling's along with two private caregivers had managed to keep Dad safe and fulfilled for several years. By the third year, the load was growing beyond our ability and energies. We wanted to maintain the quality of care for our father and avoid burn out for us. Husky Senior Care engaged with us quickly and smoothly. Their Care Manager model is brilliant. It is wonderful to have a personal relationship with a supportive person who coordinates all of the services. Sarah was caring, knowledgeable, and highly collaborative. She explored our family and care team values so they could design a care plan to meet our needs. She understood that we needed to wrap their services around our existing family care team. We coordinated scheduling and communication, working out systems so that our team and their staff could share task lists, meds management, and activities. Sarah also worked with us to file our Long Term Care Insurance claim and followed through with billing LTC directly. We started out with one agency caregiver who allowed us to fill out 7 days of daytime coverage. Adela was warm, caring, cooperative and hard working. She quickly developed trust with Dad, helping him to stay independent and supported. When she completed the usual chores (bathing, toileting, exercises, cooking, and cleaning) she took the initiative to keep up the garden and bring fresh flowers into the house. Her energy and joy made the house a brighter and better place for Dad and the family. Dad was hospitalized during his last month, and on discharge required 24/7 care at home. Husky transitioned quickly, bringing on more staff. They were careful to bring in as few people as possible, to avoid disrupting Dad with too many new faces. Care Management also transitioned to nursing, for meds delegation and coordination with Hospice. Katrina was there with us as we made the Hospice and 24/7 arrangements, coordinating, educating, and supporting. She trained both the agency staff and our private caregivers on meds delegation, so that Hospice meds could be used as needed. During Dad's final weeks Katrina coordinated directly with the hospice nurse, and helped us to understand the rapidly changing situation so we could make good choices. She could not have been more supportive and compassionate. Husky Senior Care is an outstanding agency. They provide superb support for both the family and senior who wants to age at home. They are reliable and trustworthy. Our family had complete confidence in their care for Dad and the support for us. When we started working with Husky Senior Care there was an immediate reduction of stress on all of us, including Dad. All of their staff; the caregivers, the Case Managers, and schedulers were professional, skilled, experienced, friendly, compassionate, supportive and reliable. They are flexible, providing exactly what you need, when you need it. They are able to coordinate with existing care teams, and with Hospice for end of life. Over the 6 months we worked with Husky Senior Care, our family and private care givers were all impressed by the level of support, compassion and professionalism from everyone who works on their team. One always wonders if you are doing enough for your parent, should you do more, or how else can we make our parent more comfortable at this stage of life. With Husky Senior Care on your team, you feel reassured, even rescued when some of the days just feel too overwhelming. I tried a couple other home care companies but unfortunately that didn't work out for various reasons. A hospital social worker recommended Husky. Jennifer came over for the first visit. I was very impressed by how caring and professional she was. I signed on. Kris took over as my care manager afterwards. And we settled on a few great caregivers that bonded with my husband. Kris came over to visit regularly. Every time we had a sub for a day, Kris always made the effort to be here to make sure things run smoothly. Without Kris and her excellent caregivers, my family couldn't have pulled through the last few years. My husband put up a brave fight and far exceeded every doctor's expectation. Unfortunately, his condition worsened toward the end of this summer and was admitted to the hospital for inpatient hospice care. I was really touched that Kris went to the hospital to visit my husband. She was there for him and brought him comfort and made him feel loved the last day he was awake. Morning medication was missed one day due to him being at dialysis, and they seemed reluctant to give him his pills upon his return. Once we complained that we had agreed to him being there so he could receive more constant care than we could provide at home while he adjusted to dialysis and regained a bit of strength, more attention was paid to his medication and dialysis days. However, upon discharge, no information was given as to why some medications had changed, and new medications were not properly submitted to the pharmacy.

Care managers Jennifer and Kris have been stellar in this way, and have found the most amazing caregiver, Michael, who visits them 2x weekly, each for 4 hours. They do it all, from driving the couple to errands and MD appts, to an outing at the lake, to meal prep, to light housekeeping, to personal care for our hospice patient.
