A1 Hauling & Rolloffs has been great to work with. I have made 3 changes to my original request and the folks at A1 have accommodated each request. The delivery driver placed the rolloff right where I need it and protected my asphalt with heavy duty boards under the dumpster. The dumpster was clean and the rear door makes loading easy. My only issue has been a rude dog walker tossing in poop bags! The cost is higher than a Bagster, but the rolloff holds more and is more convenient for my need. read more

Horrible Customer Service. I reviewed my credit card charges, saw that there were 4 unauthorized charges. Called to inquire, Meghan stated the dumpster was overweight and incorrectly charged me so they went back in to charge me more. I asked why wasn't I notified of the final bill and her response was "she" should have notified you. I asked to speak to a manager and she stated Missy has not been in due to hunting season, I asked for her phone number and she questioned what would you like for her to do for you? I was told multiple times over the phone that the 15 yard dumpster I was renting was quoted with 4 tons. Which is why I went with A1 over competitors. I was then charged (without prior warning) an over-weight charge of almost $200. My dumpster was 3.8 tons. I emailed the representative and he informed me that 15 yard dumpsters only come with 2 tons. Which is almost double the price of their competition (I called 5-6 other local companies before going with A1). I asked why I would book them for more money if I wasn't told I'd be getting 4 tons. They called to verify pick up date but left it a week longer, just enough time for neighborhood dumping. I inquired about the cost of a 30 yard dumpster and what we were going to put in it. After calling around we went with A-1. We received a 40 yard dumpster and were charged for it when we ordered a 30 yard. After they picked it up I received a phone call that we were going to be charged an additional $25 for each mattress that we threw in the dumpster. I called to cancel the order the same day I placed it and was told I'd be charged a $100 cancellation fee. Fine, we'll go ahead with them. I ordered the dumpster for a Monday and when it did not arrive (without any notice) I had to call and it was delivered on Tuesday, Not great but ok. I then filled it sent a message through their web site the following Monday morning that it was ready to be picked up and asked that they email me or call me that they got the message. No reply. I call Monday afternoon and get OK, your on the pick up list. Wednesday and large dumpster still in my driveway. I call and they yep, will be picking it up. Thursday, still a dumpster. I leave a message. Friday I call again and am asked if I want to speak to a driver. No, I want you to take the dumpster. It has now been a week since the rental was supposed to be over and I still have a dumpster blocking my driveway and because of this I have had to work around it. So we are now beyond a few days window for pickup mentioned on their FAQ. I am not sure they are ever going to pick it up. So I give them 1 star for this. Would rate lower if I could. We needed a roll off for our roofing project and ended up with A1 because they were the only company who could get me the dumpster delivered on the needed day. I'm giving 2 stars because they did deliver on time. However I was a nervous wreck because the driver only had a couple of tiny boards instead of long ones and I was afraid of my concrete driveway getting wrecked. He was careful tho with he dumpster and at one point when it rolled off the board he fixed it. However, they lose the rest of the stars because of lousy customer service. Every time I called, their guy answered with the most disinterested tone of voice and never returned my calls or bothered finding out information to give me. I will NOT be working with this company again. If I could, I would give them negative stars. I called over the weekend, and scheduled a dumpster delivery for yard waste. They said one would arrive either Monday or Tuesday, but despite MULTIPLE phone calls to the company, they never called me back and never told me when the dumpster would arrive. After calling again this afternoon (Tuesday), someone finally told me that they had mistakenly gotten the wrong credit card number and that my dumpster would not be arriving today. We were very clear when we ordered that we wanted the dumpster dropped off one day and picked up the next. They dropped off the dumpster with no issues. However, the dumpster was not picked up the next day. We called and asked and they said they'd move it to their priority list. Still not picked up the next day. STILL NOT PICKED UP. We are still waiting for the dumpster to be picked up and the project can't move forward until they pick up. When we call to talk with them they first stated that their contract states that there needs to be flexibility with their pick up. We were never shown a contract and no one mentioned that when we said we needed it picked up the next day. BEWARE. They did deliver and pickup on time. However... I was quoted one all inclusive price and when I checked my credit card statement, they added two additional charges. When I called to inquire about the over charge I was yelled at and told I should know about the additional charge. Then I was threatened when I said I was going to dispute the charge with my credit card company. He said he would report me to the state for refusing to pay tax. He would leave the dumpster there until I proved I wasn't going to dispute charge. I was never told about the additional charges when I received the original quote. He was going to listen to the original monitored phone call (which they don't do) and call me back...never a returned call. Not worth the abuse from this company. STAY AWAY!!! If you want your dumpster picked up by a certain day make sure to call 2-3 weeks ahead of time. You're going to have to call everyday until someone finally will show up randomly and take it. Very unhappy with this company. We rented the dumpster and paid for a week. They didn't drop it off till late Friday after 5:00 so we figured we had it till the following Friday till 5. Delivered and picked up as scheduled. However, apparently there are weight limits that you can't exceed or else you are charged extra. My dumpster was barely 3/4 full and did not contain anything that was of unusual weight: a few boards, a few old windows, and a lot of light household waste. I was charged over $17 extra for being overweight. The customer service person noted that the cost was "only" $17 more (so it shouldn't be a big deal). I don't care how much more it cost me; I feel that I did not receive the dumpster service for the price that was agreed upon and will likely not be using this company in the future. Also worth mentioning are their tight restrictions on exactly what is allowed in the dumpster (otherwise there is a charge for each violation). The driver came to pick up the dumpster, and while I was watching him and video taping his service, he carelessly lifted the dumpster and spilled a big chunk of woods on the street. He did not pick it up or put it on a side, instead, he left it there and drove away. I called the manager, but he claimed the dumpster was full. I have five different neighbors who are witnesses that the dumpster was not even near to be full. The manger was very aggressive in his conversation with me and called me a liar because he did not believe that his driver did this. I tried to solve the problem peacefully but their aggressive and hamulating way of communication made me write this so that others would know what to expect if renting from them. After I got the city involved, they came to pick it up, but I found a $50 extra charge that was claimed to be for an overweight dumpster. There was no proof and whatsoever. They charged me because they came back to pick up what they left the day before. I DO NOT recommend A1Hauling and Rolloffs to anyone, especially if you want to have an easy service. She helped be arrange a Rolloff and even gave me a discount. The next day a 15 cu ft dumpster was delivered. The driver was extremely professional. He even put boards down to protect my driveway. The pick up date arrived and they showed up like clockwork and picked up my dumpster. Leaving my driveway un-scared and my house Ohhh Sooo much cleaner.
