While loading luggage into my car I managed to rip a seam on the side bolster of my MINI's driver seat. As time passed, the seams kept popping until I had about 12-14 inches of missing seam and you could easily see the actual foam of my seat. After spending a few months trying to find a place that would resew the seam (& being turned down by a couple due to having in seat airbags), I drove by A1 and decided to stop by.
After a quick introduction, Robbie was able to tell me exactly what needed to be done and gave me an accurate quote. While it was slightly more than I wanted to spend, I decided to go for it (instead of a replacement seat off eBay) since I knew the history of my seat and any replacement ran the risk of not being as advertised. This ended up being a great call.
The job took most of the day due to the stitching pattern of the seat and the facts that Robbie restitched the whole half of the seat (not just the 12-14 inches) and took the time to sew through the original holes instead of making new ones.
If you need auto upholstery work done, I would highly recommend going here. Do be patient as their schedule can sometimes fill up, but know that in this case it is worth the wait and you are getting what you pay for. read more
