I needed service done on my John Deere riding lawnmower. They were fast even though it was the height of summer. Good value.

GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! Owner is a spineless COWARD! Too bad, I have worked with his shop and people…read morefor 21-years; on Grover and now on Hwy-90. I am a home owner not a commercial operation, but I do odd jobs on the side that require me to rent 1 or 2 use items; like a tow behind articulating lift. My story: I get hired to trim and thin some trees and call General Rental in Milton to rent a lift. We make 3-4 phone calls back and forth to coordinate details and that I would pay but one of my workers would pick it up Friday late to get the weekend rate. I do most weekend job alone, so my guys get off-time. These lifts are designed to be operated by one person either from the ground OR from the bucket. I was doing this job solo until I am stuck in the bucket about 30-ft up in a tree because the controls don't work. I call for help and it happens to be my guy that picked up the lift. Guess what? GR gave him this lift KNOWING it was broken and REQUIRED 2 people to operate. If "I" had been told this, I would not have taken rental. These are lies or omission! During none of our phone calls and payment process was this equipment limit expressed. So, Monday morning I am obviously PO'd because I lost money and time due to this failure to notify. The owner tells me "It not my problem!" and "Its a known problem with the unit and the manufacture refuses to fix it." ok, so tell your customers!!!!! Let us decide! We squabble and he refunds the day rate. We part, both mad. I call today (months to a year later) to rent a Tiller. All is going well. Previous renter, yes. Oh!? We can't rent to you. What, Why? There's a note from the owner! WHAT A COWARD!!! He rents broken equipment, customer get made, owner curls into the fetal position and prove he is unable/unwilling to work through a conflict. The definition of a "snowflake". DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH GENERAL RENTAL UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE BS OR SUCH A BIG RENTER THIS OWNER MAY BE DEPENDENT ON YOU. Refuse to "Kiss the Ring" and go to Pace, Pensacola or Crestview. ALL are better than this panty waste knucklehead!

I am new to the area (Milton Fla) and am trying to figure out my "do's and don'ts". I needed to…read morerent a trencher for a small project at my home, so I went to General Rental on Hwy 90...they took good care of me, and while I was there, I noticed they sell and service Ferris zero-turn lawn mowers, and I recently purchased 2 Ferris mowers in Georgia where I used to reside, so I made a mental note of it. Oh Boy, what a mess this turned out to be, two terms come to mind, UN-just Enrichment and Blatant Rape! They basically lied to my face, virtually no communication unless I instigated it, miserable customer service all the way up to the Manager, tried to keep my old blades and the list goes on....if this were the last "repair shop" in Florida I'd still drive to Alabama or Georgia! As I mentioned, I have 2 mowers and ironically they both had "warranty issues". Neither would start, and each has 2 fuel tanks with separate gauges, the gauges were "unreadable", the lens's were foggy...these mowers are new, about 50 hours on each. I was assured this would all be handled under warranty and was never told anything else...until I went to pick up the last one! SOMEHOW this establishment worked up a $434.71 bill for they're services, WHAT?? Basically warranted a starter but charged me for absolutely everything they could dream up. If your renting from them, you "should be" OK, you enter they're lot looking for service, you had better be very careful, you, in my opinion, are about to be a victim. I could go on and on about the lack of professionalism in this front office but I'm gonna go lick my wounds, you have been warned.
