My vet was able to arrange for us a same-day appointment with Dr Qahwash who was attentive, friendly, caring and extremely knowledgeable and gentle working with my dog. She carefully shared information and different approach options and also gave me time to consider what I wanted to do. She and her staff were very professional and the office space is very clean, warm and welcoming. The subsequent MRI & surgery went very smoothly, I got a call just before surgery started and a call when surgery concluded with updates. Two weeks after surgery, I returned for follow up and had an appointment with their on-site physical therapist who gave many recommendations that I found useful and reassuring. Now four weeks Post surgery, my dog is recovering extremely well and I'm extremely pleased with the surgical outcomes. I would definitely and without hesitation recommend this clinic for good quality neurological veterinarian care!

She has a 50% rate if success with patients that on Yelp. I got the date incorrect because my dog was 16.5 has so many appointments. When I arrived, the place looks as welcoming as the matrix located in the Meat and Leather district. I'm a city girl. We may not be from the neighborhood, but we were ready to be your friend. The red headed hospital manager changed my name to "no show/no pay."..... Rude does not being to described this read headed woman. I apologized, I offerred to pay a fee, I was there for a 2nd opinion . I wish I never put us through it or gone to this terrible of a practice. She has an MRI machine but doesn't like to use it. She and her girlfriend demanded full payment which they got, but I have to say it was a rip off. Instead Dr. Jurney and girlfriend chose to treat us SO badly I LEFT a $1,000 appointment to get away from the toxicity. You can always look her up by her last name in San Mateo. This was unfortunately my experience, and how I allegedly saw it happen. If someone LEAVES the appointment, it's not a good sign. To treat someone SO BADLY when you founded an organization about suicide just is mind blowing. She came outside to the smog filled street in the leather district to speak and I never heard an apology. Out of control. Just look at Jurney Neurology and San Mateo the common thread among the Dr. Jurney is missed diagnosis and unfortunately, behavioral issue. When your reviews 50% bad with missed diagnoses and poor behavior this person shouldn't be anywhere around patients or pet parents or her flying monkeys. Like her staff, she was so impressed with herself and very distracting and giggling with her girlfriend when they came in, it was juvenille. I left the exam room and she didn't even pick up or say hi to my dog, and missed a nose tumor and LAUGHED when I asked if her brain tumor is returning. Honestly, there is no excuse for this and got to SAGE NEUROLOGY, NOT HERE, because it's not professional at all. Also they work with a cannabis dealer who I hope has his COA now because last I heard a bottle of his CBD being mislabelled that put a doctor dog in the hospital and it wasn't good and they had to call the experts who are the actually the Veterinary Cannabis Group or the Green Nile by Trina Hazzah. I work with them and Right Ratio and the Veterinary Cannabis group, where I took classes. I only went to this place after we just because our neurologist said she just could not tell with Khloé's MRI displayed a tumor. Sage Neurology, I saw Dr Vitale are top notch and very professional. All the Sages are where people saved their pets. They saved my dogs life and gave us 4 additional wonderful years together. Dr. Arkans, in Radiation is amazing at this job. Unlike Remedy, which is dead, Sage is busy. Remedy said they were tripled booked and we saw no pets. I left her appointment almost immediately for my friend to wrap up. She owes us money she did NOTHING. Now it is simply astounding that a woman who founded a suicide prevention group should not behave SO ABUSIVELY. The situation at Remedy at least for me was worse than the worst. I told the vet who suggested her to get a second opinion from her she was appalled at what happened. Go to Dr. Vitale in Neurology at Sage Campbell or one of the Sage Neurology departments. I have read the reviews and people brought there pet Remedy and got no help and went to Sage and had their animal saved. What a way to treat someone trying to help a 16.5 year old animal. I swear they just flirted the whole time and I wondered where was the nurse or vet tech is and why this obnoxious hospital manager with a bad attitude who had the nerve to call me no pay no show repeatedly. We came in because my dog was experiencing vomiting and an ear infection (double whammy). She treated Meelo so well, as if it was her own pet. They had to keep him to complete an x-ray and labs. Dr. Del Castillo called me twice to explain updates on his health status. Each time she explained everything with great detail and was able to answer all my questions. Meelo was in great hands from drop off to pickup. The staff did a tremendous job at explaining the pricing and procedures so I appreciated the transparency. Dr. Del Castillo also explained all the things they recommend our primary care follow up with to ensure continuity of care. They were a big part of why I trusted this clinic. They were caring, knowledgeable, and took the time to make both the pets and their owners feel comfortable. Their departure has definitely changed my experience with the clinic. My latest visit I noticed they took my pet "to the back" for shots, whereas in the past, every shot was administered in the room with me present. The front desk is also not friendly. I understand that staff changes happen, but when several of the people you've come to know and trust are suddenly gone, it makes you question whether the same level of care and personal attention will continue. I'm hoping the clinic maintains the quality of care that those team members provided, but for now, I'm disappointed by the changes and the lack of notice.

The oncologists' description of radiation and chemotherapy sounded like it would be extremely difficult for him and they advised he likely wouldn't live 12 mos even if the treatment was successful. We decided to pursue palliative care for him and I found Dr Inna with a google search for palliative care vets; she had the highest ratings and I liked what her clients had said about her. From our very first meeting I felt that she took the time to listen and she read all the history about Callum. She asked a lot of questions and then recommended we start with acupuncture and targeted vitamin B shots. While I was nervous he wouldn't tolerate it, he did quite well and it definitely brought him some relief. After doing acupuncture for a few months he became more fussy and would shake his head and the needles would fall out so she suggested we transition to laser treatment. He seems to tolerate it well and even seems to like the treatment and the results were similar. It's been over a year now and we see Dr Inna every 2-3 weeks for laser treatment, she has continued to suggest things that have worked including anti-nausea meds and THC/CBD drops. She has an exceptional bedside manner and I appreciate all the care and guidance she has given Callum and our family and would highly recommend her as a vet!

But he's recovered so well after every visit from Dr. Treat! That's truly a testament to the care, sensitivity, and expertise of the team here. Cheerio recently went through a checkup, exams, vaccines, and dental cleaning with Dr. Lee, which was quite involved with multiple shots, screenings, and anesthesia. But the team made sure that the procedures were calm, peaceful and allowed me to comfort him through the initial stages. I'm really thankful for that, and Cheerio recovered extremely fast in a day back to himself! I made the appointment in pure panic because I was afraid something was seriously wrong. This review is mainly regarding the front desk staff and the customer service aspect, not the medical providers themselves. By morning, after monitoring her, she was eating, sleeping, and playing normally. I called the clinic to ask whether I should still bring her in or if I could cancel. I apologized immediately because I knew I was within the 24-hour cancellation window even though I made the appointment in the middle of the night and there was no way I could notify 24 hours before. The person who answered the phone was extremely condescending from the beginning. Instead of helping me decide what to do medically, I was repeatedly talked over and reminded of their policy. I completely understand policies -- I work in healthcare myself -- but there is a way to communicate them compassionately, especially in veterinary care where people are often scared and unsure. At one point she told me, word for word, to "be more mindful when scheduling appointments." After staying up all night cleaning vomit and watching my dog gag, that comment felt really insensitive and unnecessary. I wasn't rude, didn't raise my voice, and didn't swear -- I was simply asking if I should bring her in because she seemed fine by morning. She then told me she would "waive the fee this one time, but again, be mindful," spoke over me again, and then abruptly hung up. My issue isn't the policy (every clinic has them). The issue is how the staff communicates with pet owners during already stressful situations. Compassion and customer service matter. For contrast, I also called Sage in Redwood City and they simply advised me to monitor and come in if symptoms returned -- no attitude, no lecture, just clear guidance. I've been to Dr. Treat several times and their facility is beautiful, clean and the treats are endless for our babies, and the medical team has always been great. I really hope management addresses how these interactions are handled, because no one in the middle of a pet emergency should feel talked down to or dismissed by the front desk.
