Enough pouring my heart out--here you can find so many unique items that you simply don't see other places. They were one of the first stores to carry Jellycats, along with so many other wonderful things. It's a wonderful place to visit around Christmas because they have so many unique decorations and home items, along with thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts for people. My daughter and I are frequent visitors, and it has become a beloved tradition that we always stop in whenever we're downtown. The ladies who work here are simply wonderful and incredibly helpful. I have nothing but praise for them and their kind, helpful ways.

The store is beautiful. Lots of souvenirs and antiques that you can find. Theres probably something for everyone you want to gift -- theres greeting cards, tea sets, animal statues, rings and necklaces, soap bars and ones dispensers, and other trinkets Normally I dont post about my dislike of being obviously followed in a store, but now it's my turn. I technically shouldnt be salty since I had always been law-abiding, but today was a very surprising one! You can tell based on my pfp that I tend to dress nicely, almost old money or New Yorker style. I was the best dressed of my crew that day, and we were still followed -- and not even in a professional way lol, the person was not slick Cant tell if they were a lady or dude but it was almost certain that they were related to the old ladies working at the store. This person tailed my friends and I wherever we went, to the point of blatantly blocking the already narrow aisles and standing behind people with their arms crossed. I go to Ross Dress for Less a lot and am used to security, of course -- but blocking paths and colliding into people is where I draw the line. They have contemporary Christian music playing, and the shop is divided into different sections with crafts, charcuterie boards, candles, lotions, kids' toys and more. I also loved that they have pieces that highlight Riverside history, including Mount Rubidoux and its famous cross, along with items connected to the Mission. There's definitely a Christian and local history theme throughout the shop, which I thought was really special. They also have beautiful watercolor artwork, postcards, scripture art and even offer custom artwork. I bought myself a watercolor art set with extra brushes, and the artist who created it even offers free online watercolor lessons! Definitely stop in and look around. There are so many cute trinkets and unique gifts, and I love that you can find something fun for yourself while also taking home a little piece of Riverside history.

The owners of this cozy holiday gift shop are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more fun. Knowing that they host events throughout the year is definitely a plus -- it makes the shop feel like a place you want to come back to over and over again. The holiday Jellycat release was honestly such a cute experience. We waited about an hour before opening, and they greeted everyone with apple cider and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. It made the wait feel festive and exciting. Once inside, we got to browse all the adorable Jellycats and holiday goodies at our own pace and pick out exactly what we wanted. I learned so much about swirls, different techniques, and methods for creating beautiful handcrafted soaps. What keeps bringing me back isn't just the wonderful atmosphere, but the staff as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching their craft. I especially appreciate that they teach you the right way--no shortcuts, with safety always coming first. They provide everything you need, guide you through the entire process, and by the end of class you walk away with your very own full loaf of handmade soap, ready to be cut into individual bars once it's cured. Such a fun, hands-on experience, and I always leave feeling like I've learned something new. If you've ever wanted to learn how to make soap, I highly recommend taking a class here.

Magnets, T-Shirts, ball caps, the super cozy robes we enjoyed in our room as well as cute little gifts for kids. The boutique isn't as crammed full of "stuff" as I remember from previous times I've visited. This would be the closest thing to a hotel "sundry shop". Nice and clean, helpful staff and the magnet I purchased was charged to our room and then placed in a cute bag. They do have a small snack section and cold beverages, but just for convenience. Kelly is the name of the co-owner and wife of the Mission Inn and Spa. The shop is attached to the timeless and historic property. However, the merchandise is modern and fashionable. I am always pleased to discover a new line that I have never seen before that fits my style. It's a good sign when a boutique carries brands you already enjoy. I am pretty sure Kelly has fine taste! Subtle Luxury and Pool to Party peaked my interest with fun caftans, totes and pool accessories. Resort wear all the way! I also picked out the his and her pillowcases! Oh how intimate! I used to be more into that stuff as a kid, so while it's not quite my thing anymore, I still enjoy dropping by to check out the novelty goods. I got my favorite mug here and for a pretty fair price too! They make a huge variety of tea blends, available in tiny pouches so you can sample lots of different types without making a commitment to a huge bag. There is a shop cat who lives here named Pepper. She seems clean and friendly, and the teas are hung up on the wall and not placed on a table so you won't get litter paws all over your tea leaves. Maybe it's just something to be aware of if you have cat allergies or just dislike them.

At first all was good, when we entered there was a couple other kids looking around so we allowed our kids to take a look around as well. My older daughter was having trouble deciding so my three year old son kept tossing around a dog he had decided on. While doing that he dropped it a few times on the floor, where a worker brought that to my attention, understandable, so I placed it in my basket. Finally we had all decided on a jelly cat and my son changed his option to another one I took a look at the dog and he was still in great condition so I put it back. When we were about to pay the cashier bluntly expressed if we would purchasing the dog since my son a dropped it. It wasn't the situation that frustrated me and it was the way I was approached about it. You know what I bought them all because I didn't want to ruin my children's experience that I had hoped would be different. She then tried to be nice about the situation but honestly my husband and me felt uncomfortable. We witnessed another child tossing and licking other stuff animals and left without buying anything, yet here we were buying 3 jelly cats and then almost forced to buy a fourth getting rude customer service. Definitely will not be shopping here ever again. I think specifically her name was Alysa who was the one out of the three who made us extremely uncomfortable. One of the worst customer experience I had in my life
