I was super excited about my appointment and came out very disappointed I spent 160 on Brazilian blow out in which she only put the formula on my hair and sent me to a stand blow drier for a long period of time in which messed up my hair more. It wasn't the worst part the hair cut was no we're near what I asked for and it was done horribly. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed and pay more money.

I did not get my hair done by Sondra. I did have a 10 o'clock appointment but because I was 8 minutes late she refused to give me service. In my defense I could not find the salon. I was in the correct parking lot and she would not answer my call to help me find the location. I would not do business with her. read more

Terrible color treatment. Color was wrong and she refused to fix. Poor customer service. At one point she left me alone in the salon, locked in while she went on an errand or to lunch, while my hair was processing. Would never recommend this establishment. I'll now have to wait a year to regrow my hair to get it all out. read more

Driving into RGV (from SA), I researched various salons. Really needed overall color and few highlights touched up on the frame of my face (lots of grey's!). Sandra was able to fit me in. She provided an honest consultation and proceeded with services. Absolutely LOVED the results! Also had her trim and frame and style it. VERY HAPPY with outcome. We have family down here in McAllen, so I'll definitely be coming back to this salon and Sandra for my hair appointments. read more

Sondra worked miracles today! She changed my hair from pink (due to a home color mishap) and took it to white, my natural color. Then she gave me a fun, funky cut! I'll miss her when I go back to Kansas City. Thanks Sondra! read more

Found her on Google then searched Yelp to see reviews. I gave her a call and had an appointment that same day, she was very friendly and professional. She did an amazing job cutting my hair and giving me tons of helpful tips on how to maintain and keep it healthy! Her salon was very nice and not busy at all. I definitely recommend her for all your hair needs! I'll for sure be back! read more

More than anything, I wanted to see how nail salons were changing and adapting due to Covid-19. I was happy to receive a confirmation text that explained the precautions they were taking and what I was to expect during my visit as a client; this put me quite se ease. They told me to have a mask on and wait in my car until they texted me to let me know my technician was ready. I'm glad I remembered my mask! I noticed that clients weren't allowed to touch nail polishes, you would point to bottle and technician would take bottles and place them at your service station. The no touching anything made me very happy. That means they are being extra cautious. My technician was also wearing gloves, a mask, and shield during the whole service. It seemed uncomfortable but definitely necessary. I was very happy with my service overall. Brenda, my nail technician was very attentive and thorough. There was a mis communication, I had booked time for a mani/pedi and told them I'd need extra time because of the condition of my nails but I was only scheduled for pedi. As soon as Brenda made them aware of the situation they did re-arrange the schedule and gave me extra time. I paid 80.00 dollars for my service and I was very pleased. Good service takes time, care, and extra attention. These ladies know how to take care of you. La Posada Spa offers CND products which I learned from my regular nail expert Michelle at Pewter Nails in Reno are the best. Thank you Brenda and thank you La Posada Spa. I will see you all again when I'm back in the area.

The best place for self care! I walked in, new to the Valley, with years of store bought hair dye built up. I chose A Virtuous Salon because they had the highest rating with the most welcoming looking shop. I'm so thankful to have made the right choice with Sondra and Corina! Sondra helped me lighten my dark brown hair to this gorgeous blond hue. My hair has never felt healthier or looked better! She is the only stylist I trust to help me maintain my hair do. I love this salon! Sondra is wonderful with the latest cuts and styles . She also excels in coloring hair , always keeping it natural looking . If you're wanting a more bold color - she can do that beautifully . Her husband , Joe, is a licensed massage therapist. I love going to get my hair done at a Virtuous Salon with Sondra. Not only is she a hair stylist, but an artist who also does fabulous make-up. She actually did my hair and make-up for my wedding and did a great job. I also love the atmosphere in her salon, it's professional and inviting. I've known Sandra for years and she is still the best master hair colorist in McAllen and in the state of Texas. She knows exactly what color to mix to match what I am asking for. Going to this salon feels nostalgic, like going to a familiar place in your neighborhood. It's fairly small, and intimate unlike a large, noisy salon with too many stations, and people.
