I have been working with A Plus Tutoring for about 3 years now. From tutoring, to college counseling, I have really loved it all. I started working with them in high school where I worked with highly skilled tutors who helped me overcome my learning curves, and get me to where I need to be to succeed, whether that was for my physics class or my AP World exam prep. With college counseling, it was a very seamless process where the counselor patiently worked with me individually to develop the best application possible. With A+ Tutorings help, I was able to get into multiple top universities, such as Berkeley and UCLA which is where I now go to school. Overall, I would recommend this place to any student needing that extra push and support! You definitely will not regret it!! read more

I am so grateful to Melanie for connecting us with our tutor Sherree! After the Pandemic our daughter was very behind in writing. She's also on the spectrum and can be stubborn and resistant to teaching, but we knew she had an incredible imagination if she could just find a way to let it out. I can't believe the difference in just 4 weeks!! With Sherree's encouragement, our daughter has gone from being afraid to put two words on paper to writing fantastic page-long stories. Sherree has been kind, patient, funny, firm when necessary, and it could not be a better fit. Our daughter actually looks forward to their sessions, and drew a picture of Sherree's cats as a gift for her. We were at our wits' end when we contacted A+, and now we feel like we can breathe, knowing our child is learning what she needs to catch up to her peers. Thank you so much. read more

Highly recommend! Wonderful tutors, great communication, easy to set -up sessions! Worth every penny!

Our high school freshman had a lot on her plate with adjusting to her new school, making new friends, balancing extra curriculars, and a full load of honors classes, including honors geometry. After an up and down first few months of geometry, she started falling behind and bombed a couple of tests. Enter A+ Tutoring. We were connected to a math teacher from our daughter's school and began weekly lessons, at very reasonable rates. The freshman's confidence skyrocketed immediately. She was able to pull her grade up and handled finals much better than expected, and she's decided to continue on her honors path. Thank you to Miss U, Roman, and the entire A+ Tutoring team. Highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend A + tutoring. The owner of the organization Roman is a childhood friend and was able to connect my son and daughter with tutors that not only helped them excel with their test scores, but gave them so much confidence. The immediate feedback provided by the tutors after each session is also incredibly helpful to track their progress. I will continue to utilize A+ tutoring for the remainder of their school years. read more

We started A+ Tutoring in preparation for the IHP assessment. We only had 6 weeks until the test and the team at A+ really understood the task and matched my son with an amazing tutor. Tarisa was to the point and and took my son through almost a year of math in about 12 sessions. She was encouraging and kind and needless to say, my son made it into the program. We are so grateful to the team at A+ Tutoring and will definitely come back when the need arises. read more

Our son is a senior taking Calculus AB. He has always been an honors student, but was struggling greatly with this class. He needed help. A+ Tutoring partnered him with Shiwani, who was just the right person. With her help, he improved not just his grade, but his understanding and confidence. read more

Our experience with A+ has been very helpful to our daughter. She is working with an English tutor who has been wonderful. My daughter's has improved greatly in this area and now has confidence in her writing as well as editing her work. She also has an AP pre-calc tutor who has only been working with my daughter a short time but is helping her with her understanding of all aspects of this subject. We are having him work with her through AP testing. In addition, I had recently renewed a 20 hour package when I received an offer to renew a 20 hour package and get 2 hours free. I was a bit upset that this offer would come so soon after renewing so I reached out to ask if A+ would honor this offer for me. It was explained to me that the email offer was sent in error. However, as it was their error they honored the offer for me. Very satisfied with out experience thus far. read more

did nothing but, drain my bank account. Refused to answer a phone call, begged to cancel this is so expensive! worst decision I ever made should have stayed with in person tutoring. I'm out over 3500$$ they keep taking more and more read more

When we started with A+ Tutoring we were looking for a chemistry tutor for my daughter, and shortly after she needed more help with a different class so we asked for another tutor for physics and each time we were given a very helpful and knowledgeable tutor that helped her tremendously. Once my daughter began her college application process, we refered to Roman and right away he proceeded to go above and beyond with recommendations, introducing an amazing councelor as well as finding her internships. We are very grateful for all this company has done for us, we highly recommend their services to anyone looking to succeed in school! read more

I am so grateful that our family found Roman and A+ tutoring! We have worked with multiple tutors across many subjects, and each time my kids were able to grasp more difficult concepts, be more prepared for their tests, and generally approach their work with more confidence. Roman was even able to locate a very last minute Pre-Calculus tutor for my 11th grader who was having some night-before test jitters. Not only is he open and receptive to our feedback, but makes adjustments accordingly, pairing my kids with the right instructors. Thank you, A+ Tutoring! read more

We are very happy to have found A+ Tutoring and Melanie has been truly wonderful to work with. My student has always been doing well at school but when he started in his new high school, he felt challenged by some of the subjects he was taking. I didn't even know what to do as he was always very independent with his studies. We reached out to A+ and Roman and Melanie quickly matched us with a tutor. My student's high school is known as the "homework school" and he is an athlete with ever changing schedule due to practice and competition. Melanie is always prompt and accommodating to help us with frequent schedule changes. And when we tried to address my student's changing/different needs, A+ quickly facilitated with finding a new tutor without hassle. When we first started, the tutor would come to our house, which was very convenient for our student with a very busy schedule. With Covid, the teaching platform has moved online and continued to worked quite well. In fact it has added the flexibility for us to make rush requests. Not only we were able to schedule same day help with our regular tutor, when my student needed some help on a new subject, we reached out to A+ and Melanie quickly found us a tutor that could help him on the same day. Talk about great service. With A+, I feel confident that my student is well supported, whether it is for regularly schedule lessons or an urgent rush project. Rather than pulling my hair and feeling frustrated about my inability to help my student, I have A+ and its team of great tutors behind us whenever my student has the need. I know Melanie will quickly respond to any request I have and timely find us the help we need. read more

This is a long overdue review...I love A+ Tutoring! I am beyond grateful to Roman and Melanie for all of their help and support in finding the right tutors for my son. People, stop wasting your time out there...Get on the phone, call Roman. Tell him what you need, what subject your child is struggling with, what grade level, how often, and what works in YOUR schedule. Roman and Melanie truly go above and beyond to get you what you need. I have gone from a twice a week 7th grade math tutor to a 3 times a week 8th grade math/ science tutor. They found me somebody that could handle both subjects. It's all done at home, over the computer. The teacher and student work through a shared teaching screen. Communication with everybody is super easy. Again, can't say enough...thank you Roman and Melanie for all of your help! read more

Excellent tutoring services!! I've been using A+ tutoring for about 7 years now. I first started with my older son, when he was in middle school struggling with English and Writing. He is now a freshman in college doing very well. I am now using them for my younger son, who is a sophomore in high school. Roman has been a class act, and is very knowledgeable when it comes to the school system. He has been hands on from the start. When my son started to struggle in Math, I knew exactly who to call with my questions and concerns. I have tried to use other tutors in the past, but A+ tutoring is the company that I have seen real improvements with. read more

We reached out to Roman and A+ after our son took his first ACT test. He did fair but we all felt that he could improve upon his score with the right tutoring company. Luckily we found A+. Roman walked us through the process, what the expectations could be and the next steps. That lead to our son taking a practice exam and being assigned a tutor, Jake, to work with him. The lessons were at our house which was very convenient for us all and Jake took time to go through the exam process with him, focusing on areas where our son could improve. Our son got his scores back and he really improved his scores, exceeding everyone's expectations. We are grateful to Roman and Jake for their role in helping our son improve his scores and setting off on a path to a successful college career. read more

A+ Tutoring - Thank you A+ Tutoring - Private Tutors Near Me - Studio City, California

This review is long overdue. My son first asked for a tutor in 7th grade. We contacted Roman who met with my son and found an amazing tutor for him. In 10th grade, my son needed help with AP Chemistry and once again the tutors that we hired were excellent. The most stressful time was when he needed to apply to colleges, write essays and search for compatible school. Roman, Julia and A+ tutoring team made it possible for my son to apply to 15 colleges while taking APs his senior year. He graduated High School as valedictorian and was accepted to most universities. He will be starting UCLA in the fall. All of this would not be possible without A+ tutoring. If you are looking for great tutors, incredible college counselor or valuable school advice, don't hesitate to contact Roman at A+ Tutoring. read more

We've had a great experience working with A+ Tutoring. Ramon, the owner, is thoughtful and attentive, and paired our 7th grader (struggling in math) with the perfect in-home tutor, Niloo. She keeps our daughter focused, engaged, and on task in a way I just can't as a parent. Our daughter had a 58% in Math in February, and as of today, her grade was up to an 88%! I'm so grateful to A+ for making math easier for our whole family. read more

We are super happy with Danielle who's tutoring our daughter. Within a few weeks there's been significant improvement in her reading, witting and math skills. The pandemic had an impact on many kids her age (Kindergarten) and I'm sure supplemental learning is something a lot of parents are considering. We highly recommend Danielle for her attention to detail, great attitude and professionalism. read more

Danielle and A+ Tutoring are phenomenal. We often think of tutoring as kids that are behind. We started using A+ tutoring to supplement the kids' school work and to give them a boost. It has been an amazing experience for all of us. The kids look forward to their tutoring sessions and seeing Danielle. It's given them an incredible boost and made them ahead of where they should be in their school work. Danielle has even helped us understand what we should be doing on our own at home. Most importantly, we've seen an increase of their confidence levels. We highly recommend A+ Tutoring and Danielle. read more

We started with A+ last August, my son he took the practice test for ACT and then the practice test for SAT. Once we had the results of both, we sat down with Roman, who analyzed the results in terms of which test to practice for. He gave good reasons based on my son's science portion of ACT why we should focus on SAT. I liked how he spelled out a complete plan of what to focus on and how much studying my son needed to do each week. Additionally, I got a weekly update of how much he practiced each week and when it seemed low, instead of my being the heavy, I would bring him in to meet with Roman who would go over the importance of the practices. I like that the tutors came to our home (not having to drive my child somewhere was a huge plus for me) and they worked around his very busy schedule. The tutor would come 8:30-9:30 PM. We focused specifically on math as that was what he was showing a need in, but we did use an English tutor one time and she was equally great. I loved the opportunity for the monthly practice tests. I think they did a great job of taking the anxiety out of the testing experience. These practice tests are free too! I highly recommend this program and the time with the tutors was definitely worth it! read more

My son started middle school this year so we decided to go ahead and get a tutor mainly for math because it's the subject he struggles with the most. Natalie from the beginning has been so patient, knowledgeable and all around sweet natured. She teaches with love and that's exactly what we wanted in a tutor. She is warm and comfortable for my son to be around. My daughter also has been having sessions with Natalie also and she just adores her. The staff at A+tutor is so helpful and accommodating. Anytime we have to cancel a session for any reason at all they are completely understanding and cancel with zero hassle. Love everything about this company. So nice to know there is finally a Tutoring company with no contract and all around easy to work with! I highly recommend them and can't say enough quality things! read more

Great, super organized tutoring. My 5 year old daughter was almost reading before COVID hit. Then her school went remote and all the progress was lost! I started tutoring w A+ once the school year ended twice a week for 30 minutes. She looks forward to the lessons all week. She's building back up to reading now and is more confident. The tutor, Carol, is very nice and helpful. I love how responsive they are as well. I highly recommend this company. read more

After my daughter was struggling with grasping 3rd grade math concepts, I reached out to A+ Tutoring and it has been a smooth sailing since then. We had a tutor come to our house who made learning fun for my daughter. She taught 3rd grade in the past and knew exactly what needed to be done. She was always prompt and extremely organized. After the schools closed down due to covid-19 we continued with virtual tutoring. I had my concerns in the beginning about doing things virtually but with screen sharing and other features they have on their platform, everything went great.
