I dropped off a canvas truck canopy to be repaired on a Monday. I was told they would have it finished by Friday and that they would call me when they were done. I was also told that it shouldn't take more than an hour's worth of work. Three weeks later and still no phone call, so I called them. I was then told "sorry for the delay but we're not quite done with it, we're almost done and we don't want to rush because we're doing quality work for you". I asked when I could come get it and was told they'd be done the next day. Two days later, I went to pick it up. I was greeted by the owner at the door and he first acted like he didn't know what I was talking about, but once he realized what I was talking about, he quickly tried to cover by saying "oh yeah I forgot about that. That's the one I'm in the middle of fixing". Having a bad feeling about it I looked him in the face and asked if he had even started the work. He slumped over and said "no" knowing that he had been caught in a LIE. Not only did he LIE when I dropped the canopy off. He LIED to me on the phone. And then he LIED to my face when I got there to pick it up. Needless to say I packed up my canopy (which is now filthy dirty from sitting in a disaster of a shop for a month) and took my business elsewhere. I try my best to not do business with LIARS. I find them to be COWARDS. Hopefully this deters you from wasting your time and hard earned money! BTW, they used to be called Mattoons. I saw some bad reviews about them so I imagine that's why they changed their name. read more
