This is a gem of a resort. The tiny houses are so adorable, comfortable, and clean. We only stayed one night but it was memorable. Every detail was thought out. From the video on how to work the Grill to the TV and text messages throughout the day to make sure all is well. We stayed at the BoHo which was perfect for a couple. It was adorable. The goodie bag included an egg carton so you could pick your own eggs. The goats and chickens were so cute. Prior to checking in, the owners gave us a list of their favorite restaurants and activities. We will definitely be back! read more

My girlfriend and I really loved the stay here and what it has to offer. We stayed in the one called "The Lux" I believe which was definitely roomy for the 2 of us and the 2 small dogs. We are hoping to come back very soon and enjoy this place again. One of our dogs ate the Roku remote, but there are places to shop not to far from here and I was able to replace it quickly (bad dog!) read more

This place is a dump. The tiny house is fine, but for the price, it is outrageous! The property is a glorified trailer park full of over-priced tiny houses. They are far from 'luxury' and have absolutely no warmth, charm or amenities. With luke-warm water, an unwelcoming staff and lack luster views I'm not sure how they manage to stay in business. The towels had stains on them, there was a super uncomfortable couch and not so much as a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge. We actually disliked it so much we bailed a day early on a $600+ a night house to relocate to Woodstock Way Hotel. When we checked out a day early no one even bothered to ask if everything was ok. I WISH we read the Yelp reviews before heading to this 'resort'! Ps- Don't buy the extra packages! 100$ gets you a few Hershey Kisses and a bottle of cheap Prosecco. Or a very awkward visit from a few goats and a handful of staff members that clearly have no business working in the service industry! read more

This was the perfect getaway and the accommodations and overall attitude/ vibe/ atmosphere of the resort exceeded my expectations. The property the resort is on is beautiful (the creek, the waterfall, the trails, the animals, etc). I was made to feel very welcome by the staff and the very friendly animals the minute I entered the property. The little shops (that are open 24/7) have everything you could ever need without leaving the property. I think I stayed in one of the tiniest houses and i was amazed at how not crowded it felt. The house was super clean and cozy, I slept great. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly and kind and available to answer all of our questions and even provide free eggs from the hens in the morning! I was able to make the quick and scenic drive to Hudson two times during my short visit and I fell in love with this area. I would definitely recommend this place it is worth the money :) read more

Sorry we missed visiting your resort. My friend unexpectedly ended up in the hospital late last night ....( far less than the required 48hr notice) luckily all she had to do was grab the bag she packed for the trip to take to the hospital instead. While I understand your strict policies sometimes the exceptions are what brings repeat customers. I was disheartened when I called today and spoke with Melissa. We had planned this trip for so long after such a hard year. We in no way expected a refund but had hoped for a credit for a one night credit on a future stay. I was even going to offer proof of my friends hospital admission to show why the 48hr rule was broken. I didn't even bother based on our conversation. Glad the weather is nice and hope you are able to rent out the unit for the next couple of days. Sorry for your inconvenience. Sorry I didn't call to cancel from the ER, was focused on my friend but wanted to give u as much notice so you could rent out to others.... but wait your were closed anyway ... either way the message would've been rec'd at 9am?!?!? BTW my friend will be discharged from the hospital today. read more

Had A very bad experience at this place, first let's start with the price it's OUTRAGEOUS For what your getting which is nothing! A small smelly bug infested room and the owner is kind of rude I just don't see how In the world they are charging these prices but I guess it's still pretty new so people come to try it out once and then realize oh crap we've been duped.... don't waste your time with this place the pictures look nice but the experience is pretty underwhelming. read more

We just had the most lovely 4-day hideaway break at this great spot. Glamping at its finest with all we needed for a low key few days off the grid but close enough to great spots like Hudson for one day of antiquing. The tiny houses are spotless, the staff is so nice and the setting is unbeatable on the Catskills Creek. Love it and can't wait to return! read more

A Tiny House Resort - Because why not!? - Resorts Near Me - South Cairo, New York

Just spent 3 days and 2 nights here and it was great. Checking in was easy and the woman helping us was very friendly. We stayed in the little bear with our dog. The tiny house came equipped with a full kitchen, cooking utensils, coffee maker and a grill outside. The main bed area had an electric fire place and smart TV. The property is great and the waterfall is beautiful. The farm animals were the icing on the cake of a fantastic experience. Free eggs in the morning from the chickens and the goats are just so friendly! (They were my favorite part) They have ducks, sheep and a large bunny as well. The only thing we missed was the food truck they have on the property but it look cool! They do have small store with food and toiletries. read more

Nature never goes out of style and sometimes we need a break to get away from the "hustle and bustle". I am so grateful to have discovered this diamond in the woods. I've always been fascinated by tiny houses and was overjoyed when I learned there was a resort just an hour and change from westchester. The staff was very accommodating and helpful . They shared cute stories and made great recommendations for how to enhance our stay. There is so much to do!! My husband and I went hiking to the breathtaking waterfall on property, we went tubing in the river and lounged by the pool. One of my greatest experiences was watching one of the goats on property give birth. It was amazing. You can tell that the owners ( Melissa and Marjorie) love what they do. They create one of a kind experience for people to reconnect with nature. Opportunities to pick fresh vegetables from the tiny house garden, blaze a campfire, roast marshmallows to make s'mores and have duck eggs for breakfast. unforgettable experiences....Nature never goes out of style. read more

I had such an awful experience with Margie ( The owner).  Her property was simply beautiful but their customer service & hospitality was HORRENDOUS!  I called and ask about details for this Tiny Home in December, to make arrangements to surprise my fiancé for his birthday.  When I called the very 1st time, Margie had such a pompous tone, I should have known better to go against my judgement.  I booked this house in December for an April stay - which was many months in advance.  Margie mentioned houses started getting booked in December for April stay.  Therefore, I wanted to jump on this to ensure I lock this in.  I emailed asking for details if you offer any birthday packages. All intentions were to have a birthday mini getaway for my fiancé & our friends. I called 4 days prior to my reservations because my fiancé mother was admitted to the hospital the weekend prior. My first attempt to call & explain my situation as I was asking if there anyway if I can reschedule my booking due to the fact my future mother-in-law was still in the hospital, before I could finish my question - I was given a hard stern "NOPE".  I was NOT asking for a refund & was listening very carefully on your strict policies.  The compassion you had over the over phone was SIMPLY DISGUSTING.  You talked to me like I was trying to cheat or scam you!  As mentioned this was a surprise birthday & I included my friends which meant a second house.  The moment Margie learned of the 2nd house, everything went sour.  Margie told me my reservation was tricky because I booked through Airbnb & Airbnb takes a cut of what they charge. She very reluctantly mentioned she could possibly reschedule but I would have to pay the difference if it were peak days I decided on.  I was completely okay with this, but once she understood there was a 2nd house for our party - everything was off the table.  Margie reinforced I cannot change my reservation.  Therefore, I would have to cancel & forfeit or leave as is.  I had to discuss with my group to get everyone's feedback.  We decided to move forward with our stay.  Margie texted me every day asking if I was going to cancel - they wanted me to cancel so they secure another booking 4 days prior my reserved dates.  I guess when you are so MONEY HUNGRY, human decency is not even a slight thought. Margie mentioned my friends who arrived were rude.  Let me address this VERY CLEARLY. The first time I called, I mentioned I will have additional occupancy to stay at the house but they are not confirmed - would it be a problem to adjust later.  Margie said it would be fine up until that day.  The day of, my friends arrived a few minutes early (I drove into town & was not the premise) - they mentioned my name & Margie or whoever was on working said "THERE IS NO ANNIE... HERE. "Margie then texted stating I have guest here & I'm not allowed to have guest.  I replied "these are not guest - they are occupancy to our home.  You mentioned I have up until the day off to add people. I apologize for not mentioning earlier."  The moment I got to their desk - they demanded money with the most ill-mannered way.  My friends were totally turned off by their extremely poor manners.  How can you talk to someone like that?  Furthermore, they drove 2.5 hours for you to turn them away & tell them lies that I was not staying there.  You told my friends they were not welcomed & advised them I was not a guest on the property - how receptive do you think someone should be?  Should they have thanked you for your DISCOURTEOUS behavior?  Margie was uncomfortable?  How do you think we all felt staying on your property?  Even before the trip started, we were all apprehensive.  Were you the most courteous homeowner - ABSOLUTELY NOT! Further more, they accused my friend Cherry of giving her reservation away. Which is completely wrong, the occupancy that arrived were the ones who stay on the property.  We left a day earlier because we couldn't spend another day.  Hence, I was trying to ask if we could reschedule.  Yes, we left the house neatly because we respect the house, the land & people. I was brought up to be kind to one another.  We simply loved the property as it was done very nicely.  But we will NEVER return & refer this property.  Definitely the most BAD-MANNERED homeowners I have ever encounter.  I've rented several Airbnb's this is unquestionably THE WORSE experience ever.  Oh, one last thing - you might want to change your policy signage in the house.  "ETHNIC... smells/odors cooking in the house."  This is extremely offensive & do I dare say very RACIST!  I suggest you change it ASAP & please take some classes in hospitality management. read more

My idea of nature is staying somewhere comfortable and pretty then going on a light hike. It was fun to try the tiny house lifestyle for a couple of nights! We chose the Vista which was good, but next time I'd choose the Bean at the end of the row near the waterfall. When we first pulled up I wasn't sure how much privacy we'd have from the nearby neighbors but the scenery and positioning of the houses made me feel absolutely comfortable. The place is conducive to friendly greetings as you walk around enjoying the sights. We loved seeing the goats, chickens and ducks and a very friendly cat. The unit is small (duh) but very well stocked with everything you need to cook and wash. They have a cute shed full of every item you could think of in case you forgot something. We spent our evenings in front of the fire pit watching it get dark and having supper. We took strolls around the property, and used its excellent location to drive to longer walks in the area. We had a great stay and highly recommend it. read more

TDLR; GO it's super cute and fun The resort itself is basically land that they own and they put a bunch of tiny houses on it. We stayed at the Green Bean for one night. Perfect for two people but they have bigger houses too that are good for families/squad trips. When we got there, we checked in with Melissa then she took us to our house and told us all the rules and stuff. GreenBean: small cute and cozy. There's a TV that comes up from the foot of the bed and it's all set with netflix and a DVD player. The bed was a little too soft for our Asian backs that can fall asleep on the floor but I fell asleep pretty early anyways cause ya girl is unathletic and a little bit a walking will knock me out. The kitchen has all your basic cooking needs, 2 burner electric stove stop, but no oven. I found that the pots & pans weren't that great quality though. Maybe the bottoms were thin cause things started to burn v quickly but not a big deal. The bathroom has a tiny sink and decent sized shower. They also provide shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel if you didn't want to bring your own. We saw a couple of big ants crawling around but not surprising since we were in the woods basically. Outside there is a grill, outdoor seating, and a fire pit (must use their wood and fire starters) Animals: They have baby goats that are about a year old. Pretty much the highlight for us. You can literally go into their pen and they'll come up to you like puppies wanting to be pet. They do goat walks around the area once in the morning and once before they put them to bed. They also have two grown ducks and a bunch of little ducklings. There are chickens roaming the area and baby chicks in a trough in their main office. They lay eggs every day so there's free eggs in the office for you to grab. Onsite: The area is pretty big but not much of a hike. There's a waterfall that gets lit up at night, only like a 5 minute trek. They have kayaking and a pool that we didn't get to do cause it was still quite cold/rainy. They have also have a swing, hammock, and swinging bench to play on. There's a garden that you're allowed to pick veggies and stuff from but it was still empty when we went. Snackshack: If you need some stuff, they you can buy stuff here (payment by honor system or venmo). It has more cooking supplies, spices, and dvds that you can borrow. You can also buy snacks and goodies. We pretty much stayed on the property but there's actual hiking off site not too far away if you're up for it. Caution: -I brought shoes I didn't mind ruining and I regret it cause I felt every rock. BRING GOOD SHOES. -THE WATER IS WEIRD! idk what it was but after you apply soap, you get this weird oily layer on your skin. I mean I was smooth as a baby's butt after my shower so should I be complaining? Pets: they are dog friendly and theres a fee per pet. They have a dog park too but no one brought their dog when we went and you must keep your pupper on a leash. PROTIPS: Food: they have a lot of dining options that aren't too far from the house; some even deliver. But we decided to do a hello fresh subscription and cook at the house. Just be sure to check to see what extra stuff you need to bring for the meal you selected. Games: they have board games to borrow but we're extra af and hooked up the switch to the tv so we could play mario kart and overcooked and stuff. Tripod: there's other people that rented the other houses around us but we barely saw them out and about. We got a $20 tripod off Amazon to take our own pictures and it was great. Bags: there's not much extra space obviously, bring a duffel instead of a luggage d of a luggage Price: it's not cheap. definitely more expensive than your typical hotel/Airbnb but worth going at least once for the experience. Go on their site to check availability and prices. Our hosts were so nice and friendly. Always available either in the office, on site or by phone. We had a great time and can't wait to go back read more

Staying at a tiny House resort will not disappoint! From the moment you get on property and meet the host/owner Margie, you know you are going to enjoy your stay at any of their properties. Everyone is very friendly and helpful so if you need anything they are quick to respond. We stayed at the Mystic which is one the larger tiny houses which faces the creek. You will marvel as to how the owners have pretty much thought of everything that you will need to enjoy a comfortable stay in your tiny house. Thankfully we had good weather and were able to enjoy outdoor activities and participate in their goat run. Our tiny house was very clean and was able to house five people, yes five people in a tiny house with one bathroom. I would definitely recommend this place for others looking to get away for a few days and spend time with friends and family and their furry children. read more

A Tiny House Resort... where do I start. This place was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend comes from the hospitality business and he couldn't stop talking about how clean and tidy the rooms were. They were immaculate. One day we were there it rained, but there was still plenty to do. We stayed in, watched movies, went to the food truck for happy hour, the possibilities were endless. We brought our Australian Shepherd and we didn't know who was having more fun, him or us. Everyone who worked there was amazing- the ladies from the food truck were very attentive and accommodating. The owner, Margie, her sister Nancy and their parents were just rays of sunshine, we couldn't have asked for better hospitality. During happy hour each day they had something different. We had taco Tuesday with margarita specials, free cotton candy and popcorn and even trivia which was a blast. They send text reminders about events and happenings which is so helpful. We went tubing, to the waterfall and did some goat yoga. Anyone who is contemplating coming here, please do. We plan on coming here for years to come and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. It is definitely worth every penny we spent. read more

Terrible customer service. Marjorie was one of the least pleasant & least trusting people I've ever encountered. Tiny House basically stole nearly $800 from us- we were given a gift certificate for our wedding for a weekend's stay, which we promptly booked. Then, due to circumstances related to Covid pandemic, we ended up having to move back to our hometown on the west coast. After MUCH unpleasant haggling and back and forth, Marjorie agreed to let us transfer our gift certificate to a friend & then she went back on her word and told us they're just keeping the money and we can't give our gift certificate to a friend, because she is afraid of credit card fraud... but the gift certificate has already been paid in full! It does not make sense. I even invited her to personally contact the person who purchased the gift for us to confirm. We now live across the country, have a baby on the way, and won't be able to make it to this resort anytime soon so they have basically taken the $800 and ran. They are awful, I do not advise you do business with these people. read more

The resort is big. The houses are close together, but they offer privacy and space. The tiny house Mystic was very cute, lots of outdoor space (great for us and our dog) and cute set up inside and out. They gave a cute small tote with poop bags and dispenser, water bowl, tiny jar of local jam, and local soap when we arrived, which was also cute and appreciated! Unfortunately many of the activities weren't open yet for our stay in April, which I knew before booking (food truck, tubing, pool). Even though we went spring break, I feel the price should reflect these amenities not be opened. I paid as much as a five star resort and was also charged a cleaning fee, which a resort doesn't charge. I am a teacher and can only travel during break, so I am use to paying more, but the $562 list price ended up being over $760 with my two kids, one dog ($35 reasonable fee) and $140 cleaning fee! That's expensive! I did still choose to book and loved the view and outdoor space. They do have a strict 3 pm check in and 11 check out, which doesn't offer much time to enjoy the place, especially at that price! After returning from the fire, my son went up to the loft bed with the ladder and there were hundreds of gnats covering the bedding. We didn't see bugs outside and we're careful with the door and didn't open windows. They were also only on that area in the house, which makes me feel like there was a nest of some sort. I texted the office and was offered an new comforter. It took me almost an hour to kill every bug and strip the bed. Not what I had planned on doing on my one night getaway. I was disappointed that when I provided private feedback I was met with defensive comments instead of understanding and an apology. My opinion is it's cute, overpriced, and if you encounter problems be prepared to handle them yourself. I realize bugs are a part of staying in the woods, but this was disgusting. There were hundreds and I was left to deal with it myself! read more

I am no stranger to the Tiny House Resort as it has been the go-to escape from urban life for me. Every time has been a pleasurable experience and I've always felt very safe with the COVID protocols in place. Melissa and the staff are incredibly friendly, attentive to all of your needs, and very knowledgeable of the property - they are also a great resource for ideas if you wish to venture into town. My favorite houses are the ones just alongside the stream overlooking the valley. These units have so much natural light, which is just amazing to wake up to in the morning, and you will have no trouble getting to sleep during the peace and quiet of the evenings. There are a ton of activities including tubing in the stream, swimming in the pool, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, etc., and of course my favorite, the petting zoo! I have made quite a few baby goat friends last year. Also, if you get hungry from any of these activities there is a snack bar right on premises. Can't wait to go back this spring! read more

One star for the place! I really enjoyed the setting but the owners are horrible with hospitality. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. I wasn't surprised because prior to booking I chatted with them on their site and the vibe was off! However, I didn't want to think much of it and still give them a chance. For the money spent it's just sad, they can do soo much better with how they interact with paying customers! If melissa happens to read this I hope she does better. It's a cool experience but I would never go back! You can find a tiny house in so many other areas where it's not run by a rude family. If you want the tiny house experience I would look on Airbnb or anywhere else for one don't come here. I ordered the birthday package and in the email they originally sent it said 26$ and than they charged me 100$. I sent them the email I originally got with the price and they admitted there was a mistake on their end and they did not put the correct amount on the email. However it took many emails back and fourth for them to finally agree to reimburse me some of the money, even though they clearly said it was due to their mistake! Not only did it take multiple emails but the responses were sooo rude! How can you talk to a customer like that if you own a business? Ridiculous. And not only were they rude but I never got my refund! I gave it a week to process and still didn't get any refund so I reached out again and again I got a rude response back saying there's nothing they can do about it ? Clearly they just never reimbursed me. She was also so rude checking in the lady in front of me when we arrived. A tiny house is definitely cool but do it anywhere else! read more

We just returned from 2 nights at the resort, and truly the place is great. My three girlfriends from college met in the Catskills which right off the bat was 2 hours from everyones house, NJ 2 hours, Ct 2 hours and NYC 2 hours. Check in was contactless well thought out and easy. The property is gated another plus. We stayed in the Mizu and it was spotless with a view to die for. We all sat by the couch staring out the window, saw an eagle fly over the creek, deer the next morning in the water. The house was very spacious for the three of us, we each had our own area, kitchen was nicely stocked with supply's and everything was super clean. Not just the house interior which was impeccable, but the grounds were lovely, natural but clean. Can't believe how just walking the property , seeing the goats, the ducks and the waterfall even in the cold weather was amazing. We spent the night laughing, over the firepit, we BBQ'd and just had a ball. Place is great in the dead of winter, can only imagine in the Summer or Fall, check out was as seamless as check in, read more

What a truly AMAZING place! I felt apart of nature while staying in a beautiful and comfortable tiny home! The tiny houses are set up so you have your own private area with a fire pit, grill and patio area. They were fully booked and we didn't see any other guests during our three night stay there. The check in was contactless and easy. The owners and the staff were very kind and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. They even gave us fresh eggs and homemade jam at our check it. The property is breathtaking! There is a large creek and an incredible waterfall that is a must see. Nothing is cuter than the goats during the daily goat walk! Ducks, bunnies and chickens too! It is very dog friendly and our dog loved it! I can't wait to go back. Perfect socially distancing vacation! Each season has something different to offer and I think I might need to book a stay for each one! read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. This is the most vile place you can visit. Their website makes the property look cute. What a scam. The tiny homes (which are actually worse than staying in a trailer park) are on top of each other. Pitching a tent is more high end. If I could give it zero stars I would. There are so many nicer places to stay in the Catskills such as Scribners. DO NOT GO HERE. It is like living a bad dream that you actually have to pay for. Side note, I have never written a review of any sort but I do not want anyone to waste their time traveling here. read more
