We made this known to the sales rep Spencer who said they would correct the issue and install 6 to 8 vent boxes to go along with the ridge vent. The next day as I was at work they showed up and removed the ridge vent and installed 5 vent boxes, and that is not what we had agreed on. when I got home that late afternoon I found what they had done so I decided to look in the attic and see why it was still so hot. Now mind you with the old roof we never had any issues with heat and not being able to cool our house. When I climbed into the attic, I noticed the box vents were installed correctly on the outside of the roof but the holes that they cut in the roof to release the heat for a 10 inch box vent. One of the holes was 4 1/2 in for a 10 inch round vent. Two of the other holes were about 2 1/2" for a 10 inch vent. I'm sure you get where I'm going with this. I don't need to continue with the other holes. So I called the seeing how the rep would no longer answer my text messages. I was told the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone the owner and see what they could do to get the holes to the correct size so that my addict would vent the heat out of the house. But to my astonishment I was called back and told that everything on the outside of the house per pictures looked to be correct and that they would schedule for a third-party from GAF to come out and look and make sure that it was done properly on the outside. When I asked how long that would take, he said he did not know they would be in touch. So here we are $15,000 out of our pocket and into theirs with a roof that is not vented properly and is retaining all the heat inside our house to where our air conditioner can't keep up. We've had our AC company Jarbo's come out and look three times and all three times they've said the same thing. Your addict is not venting the hot air out it's releasing it down into the house and at one point one of them told me to raise my hand up and touch the ceiling and what did I feel you guessed it a hot ceiling. So with my rant being said, we have still not had our roof to where we are going to have to hire another to come out and install our box vents correctly just to get some relief from the heat before it really gets hot. So please do your research and don't fall for their sales pitch that they stand behind their installation because they'll pawn it off on GAF and say they need to have a third-party come out and look at it. As my personal opinion and several other people that live on my street, we will never use this company again nor will I ever refer this company to anybody not even my worst Enemy !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian Young took $10,000 from us to "buy a product" to spray our pool walls in Sept '24 (he is a…read moreroofer but has tools to do this). Verbal estimate was $12,000 with initial $10,000 to buy the product. After we gave him the $10,000, he sent us an invoice that it would be $15,000 instead. Told us he would send a contract as he picked up the check when we were gone. Never received one. Told us he would come in November, but kept putting us off saying he had another "big job" to finish but we were next. Fast forward to Spring of '25. Still hasn't come to spray our pool saying it's "too wet" and that he is still finishing the "big job" from the fall. First he told us weather had to be dry 2-3 days, then when the weather would be dry for a few days, he would switch and say "few weeks." We watched the forecast regularly, and when it would show dry for a few weeks, we asked when he would be there, he said he couldn't because he was in the middle of another "big job" and that it might still be "too wet." Eventually he told us we were "next in line" in the fall after he finished the big job, but then began saying he might be able to get to us in June. I kept checking with him all summer and got no reply. Finally, mid summer I contacted him again. He called me and said his "tech" guy said it would be better to only spray the inside of our pool walls, and not the entire floor, steps, etc. Told us we would get a refund of $2,500 to $3,000. Finally our pool walls got sprayed in September, a full year after we paid him the initial down payment. He pressure washed the inside of our pool (after telling us he had to postpone time and time again because it was "too wet") We have now asked multiple times for the refund we were promised. The first time we asked, he ignored us. Finally he said he would get us a quote back ASAP, then never responded. After a few more unsucessful contacts, he told us he is waiting on a "big draw" before he can pay us what we are owed. It is now mid November and we still dont have our money back. Brian has been deceitful, unprofessional, and has sent multiple hateful texts. Not one time in 15 months has he contacted us first about the job we paid him to do, and we have begged him to take care of us, as paying customers. He also sprayed sealant on our walls which stained our white coping around our pool. It looks terrible. He said he would clean it or paint it, after I called him out on it. He left without saying anything about the mess he left, and has yet to come back or contact us about cleaning what he stained. DO NOT hire this man for anything. I have been treated by him in such a rude and unprofessional way, that I will never recommend him to anyone. The product he finally sprayed on our pool was a good product, but no business owner should EVER treat a paying customer how we have been treated.

Most portions of our steep-roofed house, likely built in the 1880s, needed completely new shingles, and we contracted as well for an incline system capped by rubber carpeting to replace a leaky flat-roof section that now allows water to run off its downside edge into a gutter. Several rotting areas of the wood substructure required replacement, too. The entire roof of our garage also needed new shingles, a simpler job but one that included a ridge vent running the full length of the structure. Once a time for the work was established, beginning on a Monday morning, the installation crew arrived by 7:00 a.m. and worked until nearly 8:00 p.m., then returned the next day at 7:00 a.m. and, miraculously(!), completed the job by 2:00 p.m. All personnel were focused throughout on completing the job quickly but very attentively, and those with whom my wife and I spoke were both accommodating and friendly. A couple of minor items required attention subsequently, and Josh Sparks returned promptly to take care of them himself. The total cost--labor and materials--seemed fair to us. Josh advised a return inspection in perhaps five years to make sure that everything was holding up well, and even said that A.L.E. would take the initiative of contacting us in this regard should we forget to do so first.
