Agree with Chris L. view point. Unit was dirty when i checked in with oil stains and a thick layer of dust on the floor. Life got busy and i forgot to pay on time that's my fault 100%. I called to close out the account and was told on the phone they would charge me 1/2 month as i was only 10 days late. When i got to the storage place Denver was rude and short with me. He charged me the full months amount and a late fee. Denver is a liar and a thief in my opinion do not recommend them based on the rude staff and dirty units. read more

I buy storage auctions for a living and this place it's the most dishonest of every facility I've experienced in Grand junction. Everything is gone through nothing of value usually and hostile management. Last time I was there on a hot day there was a hick hand-painted sign saying " Dogs must stay in car $50 fine otherwise. Easily the best storage place in GJ. I had to arrange my unit while I was living out of state. The team made the process very seamless. There are people in the office during the day and around the grounds. They also have some apartments above the office which helps with keeping out random people breaking in at night. Rented from this place for over 2 years. If it wasn't such a pain to transfer my things to a different storage place, I would have. Denver Kruger Jr. is the rudest guy there. Would make rules up as he seen something he wanted to whine about and then the next time we went he would have a sign up about it. While being there for over two years ( and over 20,000.00 in rent0, they charged me for using the dumpster one time.. Nothing was posted at the time we used the dumpster saying we couldn't use it but then he called me and said he was charging me an extra $50.00 for putting stuff in it. Mind you, the dumpster was already half full. The next time we went he had a sign and a chain up in front of the dumpster. I called to discuss it but he would not listen then I called his boss and then the HR person, Danielle. No one would return my call. After trying for weeks and over a dozen attempts, I gave up. I was recently in Grand Junction, CO on a business/vacation and I needed storage. After making my delivery, we were going to the Grand Canyon and I didn't want to pull my trailer all the way there and back, so I needed storage for the trailer. This was going to be a short term storage for 4-6 days, and I was going to pick up the trailer on my way home. I checked several places that were full and wanted to put me on a waiting list. Finally I stopped at "A Storage Place" located at 2980 North ave. They had room for my trailer. I dealt with Jim and Ross, who were great and easy to deal with. We quickly filled out the paperwork, got my trailer parked, and I was on my way to the Grand Canyon. The trailer storage cost me $40, which is about what I was expecting to pay and that would have given me 1 month of storage. This facility is very secure with a gate. The only way in or out is with a code. There are security cameras everywhere. Nobody is going to steal or damage your property. This place is very clean also! If I'm ever in Colorado again and need storage, this is where I will go. You guys rock! Thanks for the help. read more
