I also recently needed a belt for a special buckle and even tho I live quite far from his location we were able to pick something over the phone and he mailed it to me promptly. Great customer care and a very cool place. Stop in when you are in Boothbay!

His…read moresilversmithing creates jewelry that even 5th Ave. stores in NYC could not provide or even offer for sale. His leatherwork is masterful and done tastefully with something for everyone. But I especially appreciated the time his took with us as my wife went through and built a silver charm bracelet with her Maine memories. Not only did he wait for her to decide between items, he was quick to point out unique differences and provide details as to why she might like one charm over another of the same type. Some shop owners might have walked away in frustration when she was trying to decide which scallop shell charm to select, but he merely showed her more and helped her see what went best with the other charms she was selecting. Even at the end, as he was adding the charms one by one to the bracelet and she last minute decided she wanted a map of the State of Maine added, he merely grabbed another loop and put it on. So, if you are in the market for leather, silver, or gold, whether for yourself or a gift for someone else, I highly recommended visiting Peter at his shop where I know that not only will you get the best value, you will get the best treatment.

I love Enchantments and have for years. This store is a must- go every time I'm in Maine for at…read moreleast a few days. It is tough to add pictures because pictures wouldn't do this place any justice. I will say, if you get overwhelmed easily with a press of merchandise all around, you may need to steel yourself before going in. There are a lot of sections of the store, many cases of many things, so it is likely they have something you're looking for, assuming you're looking for magickal, spiritual, or other wares in those veins. There are varying levels of quality and price points. The staff are very nice as well, and if you have a particular interest they can guide you to that which you seek. They have 4 parking spots just for their store, and there is other parking nearby. They do not have a public restroom, that is at the bottom of the hill they're on. They do charge a card fee. If you're in town, or the area, come visit this store. I really think you won't be disappointed that you took the time to do so.

This isn't just a store, it's local flavor!…read more Even if you buy nothing, you HAVE to come here just to walk around. There is SO MUCH TO LOOK AT. Every single inch, every nook and cranny, has something going on. Also - how can you not love a place that has glitter confetti ALL OVER THE GROUND?! It's a two-story "theater" (their words) offering "metaphysical gifts including Wiccan, spiritual, fantasy, and extramundane needs" (again, their words). My words? It's full of unique things and curiosities and wonders and magic and I don't totally understand everything that's happening here, except this must be the same feeling people in the (19)20's had when a carnival would roll into town... then overnight be gone! There's a few things to note about this store: they prefer you don't touch much (there are signs everywhere asking that you not) and they prefer you don't take photos (which is why you don't see many). And, because there's an overwhelming amount of stuff it can a) be very easy to get turned around in and b) can be difficult to navigate the extremely narrow aisles. Just be patient and allow yourself to take it all in!

They have jewelry, antiques, gifts, glass, Christmas items, and so much more. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This is just an amazing shop, kinda off the beaten path, not right in the middle of things, near the Tugboat Inn. Prices are reasonable for the antiques and in line for the gifts etc. I always stop in when I am in Boothbay Harbor and I usually buy something too.

I told her we were both vaccinated and that that was no longer necessary. She raised her voice when telling us that it didn't matter " you must wear masks anyway". As we turned to get our masks out of our car, she also said that we were required to spray disinfectant cleaner on our hands before entering. I saw 2 small bottles of hand cleaner on the counter and went to grab one. She yelled as she said that I was teaching for the wrong bottle! Now, we consider ourselves to be reasonable people. We donned our masks when told too, but spraying disinfectant on our hands too? When looking at antiques? Give us a break! Needless to say, this place lost two good customers due to the ridiculous and totally unnecessary and discourteous employee at this used antique store. Stay away.
