I even recently asked for help on learning how to put eye shadow on, as I have never been able to do that. We set up a time, and she was able to walk me through the process and I now feel more comfortable on attempting makeup on my own. We got called about the same time. We were seated 3 seats apart. The stylist was letting me know how much she hated working there as she's complaining she drops the scissor tip hits the middle of my glasses. She makes a joke about it, then she proceeds to pass the hairdryer from right to left while it's on and a quarter size chuck of my hair gets pulled into the dryer & ripped out my head while other parts get burnt. I said I was done she takes off to the back. I go over to my husband (he's just getting done)to tell him what happened. His stylist starts laughing. We only pay for his cut and leave. I talked to the GM and she said all she could do was offer a few hair cuts and apologized said she would talk to the stylist and the one who laughed at me being hurt. Recently my hubby went back for one of those "free cuts". He asked for his usual cut(a fade leave top alone) an the stylist keeps asking "ok so size 0 then?"he repeats same hair cut yea , she asks him 3 more times laughing. She proceeds to shave his entire head bald he gets upset and she says again laughing she will only charge him for a child's hair cut. He is embarrassed and leaves. I call up there asking why did she do that and why was he charged? Turns out it was the same girl who did his hair last time an got in trouble for laughing at me so she gave him a "revenge cut". A 12-minute wait on Sign-in turned into 1 hour + due to employee taking lunch break just as my turn came up, then next stylist bumped me for another person. Upon noting I was next in the queue, she declined to give a haircut!?!? I refer specifically to two stylists here... Stephanie and Ashley. Needless to say, I won't be back to this location. This level of blatant rudeness would never happen at the Versailles store or Lexington Great Clips. Overall, beyond disappointing... but a disgusting experience at the Brighton Center Great Clips. Brighton Gr. Clips owner and manager take note.

Ulta has a wonderful rewards program so I always consider that a plus when I can save a little money using my rewards money PLUS you get a birthday gift!!!! Who doesn't love that!! They have so many brands to choose from in makeup, skincare, hair care and an in-house salon. This visit I had to get my newest obsession Black Opium Glitter. This smells like a sexy marshmallow. I rushed and got what I needed and was checked out and walking out the door at 7:59 pm. Overall, I felt it was rude of the manager on duty to make me feel like I was being an inconvenience. I began my career out of college as a retail store manager so I understand how late walk in customers can make you have to stay later than the 30 mins to an hour you're typically scheduled to stay after close of business, but I never vocalized that or made a customer feel like their business was not valued, big or small, at the beginning of the business day or the very end. I'll gladly drive to Lexington or Louisville now for anything I need at Ulta.

Have you ever wonder why stylists make you wait like forever, but they are absolutely not sorry at…read moreall? Enter Ashley Morrow. She is a prime example of such stylists. After chatting over nothing with a customer for 20 min., she simply said, "I am ready." Yeah, you gotta be. No single word of , "I am sorry to make you wait." And when I brought this up, she became visibly upset and asked me to leave. OK, then. I had wondered if I should keep going, especially after she gave me a haircut that made me looking like Hitler. I kept going back because her price was like Supercuts, super cheap. But I guess you get what you paid for, including skills. Avoid Ashley Morrow, but don't get confused with the other Ashley, who is good looking and very nice. BTW, she was dissing about the owner for being too liberal.
