We has such a great time at the aquarium! We made the trip up to the Falls and were so excited to…read morecheck out the exhibits with our son. He loves animals and the ocean so this was perfect. They're currently doing some renovations so we walked around to the entrance on the side of the building. It was relatively close to the parking lot which was nice especially with a toddler. We looked at all the exhibits and the tanks. We loved the penguins and the sea lions. We watched the sea lion show which was really cool on the top level looking down into the tank. They have a touch tank for their rays and baby sharks too which was cool to try. The only downside is that it's a bit small. We were done with everything in less than an hour and could've stayed for another show but opted to leave. It was a great experience but we just needed a little more.

It had a face lift from the last time I was there and those changes are nice. I would say it takes about an hour to get through everything if you stop to read some signs, take some pictures, and watch one of the shows. There is a new additional building included in your admission and about a 2 minute walk from the main building. Although it was in good shape, I didn't personally feel drawn to the space at all and felt like there was more that could be done with it. Overall, I like the Aquarium and it was well worth the $7.16 I paid to get in. I'd feel cheated if I paid the full $25 ticket price.

Having something as fun and as historical as the Buffalo Zoo in your backyard makes it easy to take zoos for granted. The layout and design is perfect for pretty much anyone, from kids with no attention span to adults just looking for a place to take an interesting stroll. Getting a membership and visiting whenever I feel like it has been a great decision and it's highly underrated in the winter. You basically do a giant circle and can't really make any wrong turns even though you have a lot of things to see and a lot of choices about the order in which you see them. The renovations and upgrades that the zoo has put in place have made a really great place into an incredible one. I literally try to go to the rainforest every couple of weeks during the winter because it's an instant cure for the heavy Buffalo snow. It's not necessarily related to the zoo so much as the design, but the way it faces Delaware Park and has the buffalo enclosure open for the public to see makes me smile every time I see it. TLDR: one of the best zoos in the country. Not the biggest but definitely one of the most well planned and fun to visit.

The zoo in general I give 3/5 stars:…read more Parking and concessions are overpriced. The zoo itself is one of the oldest in America and it shows. Its desperate for updating. Other than the rainforest and Artic area, I'm not impressed with anything, especially VS other zoos. I've never seen a single person or zookeeper around welcoming guests or talking about the animals. Its almost always dirty and smells. No tech, nothing interactive. I get it, its a zoo. Healthy animals are the point and star of the show. And im sure the budget is skin tight. But the zoo shouldn't resemble the 1800's anymore. Other than the updated Artic exhibit, this place is exactly the same from when I was child in the 90's. I strongly urge to you check their schedule to see if any free events are going on to enhance your experience. Zoomagination (annual lantern fest) on the other hand gets a 5/5 rating and bumps this review. Its as close to Disneyworld as you can get in Buffalo. The lantern statues are stunning in the darkness. And the late summer vibes are immaculate.

Got some tickets when they had a sale back in April and redeemed this passed weekend. All areas were crowded but we made sure to wait our turn to see all the big exhibits up close. The Dangerous Lagoon was definately the highlight. Despite how busy it was, everything just slows down here. The moving walkway slowly moves you through the beautiful massive underwater tunnel for what felt like 7 minuites. The jelly fish display where the lighting creates a majestic scene of the jellyfish changing color in synchrony from the deep dark purples to the most vibrant reds was also a sight to see. A great variety of sea creatures on display here. You think it, they had it. Several areas for interactive play throughout including a playplace at the end (good luck following your kid in there - the play structure was packed to the max). You can also pet the stingrays on your way out. We spent a little over 2 hrs here. If it wasnt so busy may have waited for the dive shows and feeding times. Couldve also been a more relaxing experience if they limit the number of admissions throughout the day. I remember during COVID they had a time slot system. Seems theyve went away with it now. Overall definately worth checking out at least once.

We don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing…read more.. This place is big! I spent over four hours here, and could've easily spent more. This place reminded me of the Exploratorium in San Francisco, , except instead of interactive exhibits highlighting scientific principles, these interactive exhibits were all about play! Play for both the kids, and the grown-ups. They had a ropes course for the younger kids, and another one for older kids and the grown-ups. For the kids, they had a scale model of a local grocery chain, where the kids could either "work", or "shop", right down to the working checkout lanes. They had a Sesame Street exhibit...., A butterfly habitat, and and All kinds of different indoor and outdoor play areas. I can still hula hoop! (for a whole five seconds...). They also had all of the exhibits on toys, games, and video games. This is the home of the national toy, Hall of Fame, and the national video game Hall of Fame. it was so cool seeing toys from my childhood, and a wide range of video games and pinball machine machines that are playable. The price to get in is very reasonable, and they also offer a military/veterans discount, and memberships to the museum, which offer free museum admission. There is a parking garage attached to the museum, with a small charge for parking, and there is a also a small charge for the ropes course, the butterfly habitat, or to play the video games/pinball machines. (4 tokens for a dollar, and every machine only takes one token...) This is an absolutely fun museum for kids of all ages. Thanks!!!
