What a fantastic Quilting Shop! So many bolts of fabric to choose from along with patterns and kits. Why go any where else!

The owner contacted me to follow up on that negative experience. She was, rightfully, concerned and assured me that this was not their usual attitude in dealing with their customers and would try to make sure that this does not happen again. I find it unusual and also commendable that an owner takes the time to address something like this. I look forward to giving my business in the future.

I was looking for ideas about how to add a border and about what colors might work with the wide variety of colors in the wall hanging. Their customer service was fabulous! Both employees brought bolts of fabric for me to consider, and suggested that I consider a double border. With their help, I was quickly able to pick colors, and the double border allowed me to highlight several colors in the wall hanging so that they will really pop. They calculated the amount of fabric I would need for the border and the backing and off I went, excited to have found something that I think will be really pretty when finished. They do long arm quilting there so when I have the borders completed I can take it there to have the actual quilting done. I was very impressed with how friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful they were and will definitely visit again. And their prices were very reasonable!

Vicky knows where everything is, so if you need something particular, just ask! I saw Google reviews that complained about how much fabric there was packed into the store, I found that it was tight in places, but not impossible to get around. Everything is very organized by color and type. I also found a review complaining about hate speech being played on the radio. First of all the owner listens to FOX news radio, in MY opinion that's not hate speech and that review was completely laughable!! If you're that sensitive then maybe don't go anywhere. Lastly, one review complained that the owner wouldn't allow her to bring a dog in the store. I couldn't believe someone wanted to bring a dog in a fabric store! Not one quilter or otherwise wants any dogs around their new, clean fabric! What a crazy request! Thankfully I ignored all the false negatives and went. It is now my favorite place to buy fabric! I make quilts for charities to be auctioned and the fabric has to be perfect. I also make quilts for babies and they have to be clean! I trust every inch of fabric I buy from the store to be high end and clean! This is a MUST go to for any quilter! I love this store!

FYI for non-watercolors t's out there - there Re standards... 90lb, 120lb, 140lb, 300lb etc.) They run regular sales of 30-40% off, but that just makes their pricing right on average with where it should be to complete with real art supply stores like Dick Blick. Be careful at checkout, too. Even though the price is marked at X, the checker may ring you up at X + 10% because "that's what the computer charged." Here's an example of pricing: individual student quality (Staedtler) watercolor pencil marked at $1.79, I was charged $1.99. I later was at Art Coop and they carried PRO quality watercolor pencils (Derwent) for $1.60 ea. I've visited Hobby Lobby for the last time. I won't be back.

However! Why did I spend an hour there? First I needed a frame. They had a bunch in the right size (Target had zero in the right size.) Then I needed some markers, brushes, and paints to reclaim the tiny drop of creativity I had in my life before I went to MIT. I was SHOCKED at how good the selection was, and how cheap. Then I thought maybe I would start making a scrapbook! This store made me want to start making a scrapbook! I barely made it out without a scrapbook! AH! Still doesn't meet muster for stationery (no premium papers or notebooks), but I'll be back. I know I'll be back. **Shudder**
