The store itself is huge, a good layout, and clean. But the selection is not the greatest and the prices are even worse. $5 for a USED 4T Walmart shirt is not a deal. I can buy it brand new for that much. Everything just seemed very over priced. An individual baby head band/bow was listed for over $1. Should've been a bundle for a couple bucks. I guess if you're looking to buy resale for the sake of saving the planet then this is the place for you. But don't come here looking for a deal. read more

I was very surprised at the critical reviews being made of All Things Kids. I am a grandmother and use the store off & on to consign toys the grandkids are no longer playing with and also to buy clothing for my grandchildren. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the store. The store is always clean and organized and the staff is always friendly. I wish this store was in existence when my sons were growing up. As far as people commenting on what they think are high prices.....you get what you pay for. The clothing is only accepted for consignment if it is clean and in good shape. It is still so much cheaper than buying new from the retail stores. And the toys are closely scrutinized too. Store review: I did not know what to expect when my wife insisted we visit the shop to check out furniture. This is located on the main street behind Prospect tucked away in an industrial area. The shop itself is quite large with a wide selection of used toys, clothes, and other baby essentials. I agree with other people the selection is so so and it appears over priced compared to garage sale or craiglist items. The toys were also dated. I did not find anything exciting or a good deal to buy. The whole consignment idea is new to me so I had to read more about it. If you are planning on getting rid of some baby clothes or toys you can bring up to 30 clean items each month. They will likely price it 1/4 of the new price and you get 50% if it sells. You have to pay 1 dollar each month to maintain an account with them. You definitely won't get rich, but if you are planning on throwing something away you might as well get some money back. Based on the reviews, they don't inform you when things sell. You have to email to get an update on how much money is in your account. Pros: discounted use clothes, you can sell your used kids stuff as well Cons: you likely will get very little money for your items unless you are lucky, limited selection Hidden deals: Check the facebook page for pictures of new items that maybe available without having to actually visit the physical location. read more

Great if you need cheap board books and toys and baby accessories. Sucks if you actually need to buy baby clothes because its expensive for used clothing. It also sucks if you are selling too. They price the item st half price of the new price despite if it'd new or not, then you get half comission, they get the other half, plus $1 a month if you leave money in your account. I had wanted to sell three things that originally cost me about $65 and I only got a check for $13.50. They won't tell you what they price your items at or if anything is sold. You have to call or email them what your balance is. They don't sell car seats unless they are new do to safety reasons. Buy rather than sell. You could probably make almost all your money back by selling on Amazon.com rather than a consignment shop. Oh, they only let you sell 30 items per calendar month. They have lots of over flow of clothes. They have a Facebook page that posts pictures of items that just came in. That's very helpful and attracts business. read more

This consignment store for kids is the biggest used kids' stuff store in Champaign-Urbana. Because it is consignment - meaning individuals give good-condition items to the store, the store sells them and the individual gets a portion of the profit - the selection is inconsistent. But compared with other used goods places - Goodwill, Salvation Army, Twice is Nice, Connnections in Lincoln Square in Urbana - this place stands out. I'd put Connections as the second best place - it's cheaper but has less stuff. They sort the items individually as they are delivered and check for stains, dirt, tears and the like. Many items are rejected so what makes it in to go on sale is in great shape. Items are also priced individually so you don't find a steal on an especially high quality jacket among all the jackets marked as $5 as in other stores. Also, clothes are sorted and arranged by size, not just jumbled all together as "Kids" (looking at you Goodwill!). Compared to garage sales, yes, this place is pricier. But consistently better stuff. Craigslist is similar price and less convenient. If you are looking for one specific thing, sure, search on CL. Otherwise, All Things Kids is the most likely place to have what you need. You could certainly supply much of your baby stuff from here at less than half what you would pay if you were shopping at Target or Wal-mart. They've got diaper pails, baby bathtubs, sometimes cribs, burp clothes, blankets, wraps, carriers, some furniture, and decorative touches for decorating nurseries. You just don't need new things for little tiny kids that quickly grow out of clothes and gear. I have bought several gifts for people here. They have always have toys, strollers, and a huge assortment of 4t and under clothes for all genders. Older kids have a little less selection and the 'girls' clothes tend to be heavy on the dresses, sequins, frills, and pastel pinks. But that isn't the store's fault. They always have hats, shoes, boots, books, board games, puzzles, DVDs, ride on toys, sporting equipment. Sometimes baby food, diapers, swim diapers, bicycles, crib mattresses, crib sheets and snowsuits. If you spend a $100 they give you 10% off. They have a rewards program where you get a stamp for every $10 you spend. At $100 you turn in the card for 10% off. Your consignment account incurs a fee of $1/per month so spend your credit! Plus, it's an independent store in BIg Box land in north Champaign. The money you spend here stays in Champaign-Urbana, doesn't go off to stockholders and corporate headquarters. read more

Most of our sons toys shoes and clothes have come from this store. I'm planning on going today! 7/31/15. The prices are very reasonable. Every toy I've gotten from there has been his favorite for a good amount of time and still work. The clothes are in great shape for being used. I recommend this store to all my friends. read more

I feel they are overpriced. But then again I compare this to shops in bigger cities that have to be more competitive . Whereas they do not here with not many other consignments. I don't like their buying process. It goes through one set of hands and onto the back. If the back people don't like it they call you to come pick it up. Seems like too much work to me and for them. OTher consignment places just give you money straight out ( like Once upon a Child ) and they say yes or no to your stuff. Done deal. Also agree with other reviewers that stuff is kinda meh in what they choose to sell and price is worse than sales places. However have found some stuff every now and then and the book section is great! read more

All Things Kids is awesome! Their selection is constantly changing their prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of their items is awesome! I can't imagine that anyone would ever say that their stuff is overpriced. All things kids is my go to place for anything I need for my children before Walmart before target before I bother looking elsewhere. read more

I can't believe I'm the first person to gush about All Things Kids. But, come to think of it, in the 10 months since my baby's been here, I've mainly abandoned "online time" for any extra bit of sleep I can find! ATK has been a godsend. Babies grow really fast! Loving people buy you lots of gear and clothes for little tiny babies because everyone loves little tiny babies! But...tiny babies become bigger babies in what seems like an instant and you have this nearly-new stuff around. And you need bigger stuff. A-Ha! All Things Kids has a super friendly staff, a generous (and very up-front) consignment policy, and lots of things you will need for growing babies and kids! I have very seriously limited the amount of brand new items I purchased over the months because ATK has them. And the staff is choosy enough about what they accept that you never feel that just because you are buying "used" goods, they are too worn for your little cutie. I love this place. Store is alright if you can find the right bargain, this will usually be a toy or book. If you are looking for clothes the selection at times is limited, makes me question their 30 items per month policy. Also be careful of their pricing, they had a used coat at their "members only" coat sale that was $15 higher than the exact same coat NEW at Sams club which I had just seen earlier in the week. Industrial setting, okay but honestly kind of "dingy" vibe similar to goodwill - I have the urge to wash my hands after leaving the store. Way the heck out in northwest champaign so a bit of a hike for most people. I've been going there off/on about 3-4yrs. Buying: You can get decent items in $1-$4 range, more for new/tagged stuff. They're pretty picky on clothes so at least usually in new or good used condition. If you have the time/inclination you may find stuff just as good quality/cheaper at goodwill. Sometimes ATK very overpriced - I never buy winter coats here - way too expensive! One good deal is the 0-12m range for onesies/etc. that cost a buck or two. Baby/toddler toys often a good deal compared to new prices. They have a punch card for a future discount -useful for example to save and use for bigger purchases around xmas or to give to pregnant friend needing a bunch of stuff. If you're like me and forget to bring your punch card, they will let you put together several partially-punched cards to make up a complete one :) Selling: They accept most toys/games in good, clean working order. Books need to be near-new condition. 30 clothing items - stick to your best looking items. Don't expect to make any actual money on consignment - expect to get back a couple of bucks even on big items. New moms - your opinion of what your stuff is worth is WAY higher than what ATK thinks it'll sell for, and you only get half of that. You'll really just get a fraction of what you could get if you spend the time selling on craigslist/ebay. I don't have time for that though so a couple of bucks is better than just donating the items. They do charge a $1 per month fee which can add up as you have no clue when/if your stuff is selling and you're probably only really getting like 50 cents per clothing item. Example - I brought in a large nearly new toddler play yard (not play pen - I mean the outdoor, 10ft across kind of play yard) that cost me at least $100 that unfortunately we never really used due to season (so it wasn't even faded). I think they sold it for $20 and by the time I went to get my check two months later I got $8 (half the selling price less the $1/m fee). Still, more than the zero dollars I would have gotten dropping off at goodwill. WORST THING: when you drop off stuff to consign, you wait around probably fifteen-twenty minutes while they go through it and say yay/nay. Fine, no problem - I like browsing. However, later they have a second review of your stuff and they next day you may get a phone call saying you need to come back and get the stuff ASAP (not a leeway given here) or they will donate it. Mostly I've ended up just having them donate it, although then I lose out on the tax receipt or the ability to give to a friend. Really quite annoying as again they are way out in the boonies- I'd rather just wait longer up front or have some sort of appointment system. I had to go back once to show them where the on/off button was on a toy they refused as "broken" that my 3yr old could have figured out. That was a waste of a good 40min of my time to make the extra round trip. read more
