Since she started care at Appleseeds, we've noticed tremendous positive growth in her behavior, communication skills and development which we attribute to Appleseeds curriculum as a whole. The teachers, management and staff are extremely professional - consistently corresponding with us throughout the day and providing updates around our daughters care. I truly would not consider taking my daughter anywhere else in town for daycare and highly recommend Appleseeds!

Our staff is passionate about early childhood development, and it shows in how we support each child's growth, imagination, and confidence. What makes Appleseeds stand out is the sense of community we've built with families and how much we genuinely care about each child's well-being. I see kids laughing, learning, and making real connections every day--and it's so rewarding to be a part of that. If you're looking for a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for your child, I highly recommend Appleseeds Academy!

Our son was in Harmony's full-time care for several months. During that time, there were a few incidents that raised concerns, which we initially attributed to the normal learning curve of having our baby in childcare for the first time. However, one incident ultimately made it clear that we could no longer trust this facility with our child's care, and we withdrew him immediately. The incident raised serious concerns for us around judgment and communication. After withdrawing our son, Harmony refused to refund our deposit or any portion of the remaining tuition for the month. We took the matter to small claims court, where we won our case. This judgment was issued in October 2025, and as of today, she has still not paid the court-ordered amount. I debated whether to share our experience publicly, but I'm sharing this solely to document our experience and help other families make an informed decision. While Harmony presents herself in a certain way professionally, our personal experience was very, very different. She made comments to us that were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I know how difficult it is to find childcare in this area, but based on our experience, I strongly encourage families to carefully consider other options before choosing Daisy Trails Forest Preschool.

My son is currently in his second year at Squaw Valley Academy and is a senior. Prior to coming to…read moreSVA he attended a large public school in California, putting in very little effort and earning decent grades. He says now that he didn't really know how to study. Small classes, individualized attention, clear expectations, and most importantly, mandatory 2-hour study hall resulted in a near perfect GPA after only his first semester at SVA. He's more mature, has gained confidence, and in general seems much happier with his newfound success. Thankfully, he is much more interested in actively defining his future. With the help of his teachers and SVA staff, he applied to several colleges and is very excited about his upcoming Freshman year. We are very proud of our son and are looking forward to seeing his bright future unfold with its many choices. He would certainly not be in this position had he not left the public school in which he was merely average, and attended SVA where he learned to EXCEL! He has learned lessons about himself in the last two years that will stay with him forever. Finally, after taking one semester of SAT prep at SVA, my son's SAT score improved by nearly 200 points (and it was pretty good to start)! That's real and measurable success!

I worked here briefly as an administrator, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst professional experiences I have ever had. The ownership group has attempted to restructure the organization multiple times, but those changes have not addressed the underlying issues with leadership and management. In my experience, the current Director has shown very little concern for the employees, and the impact of that leadership has been significant. From last year to now, the school has reportedly lost a substantial portion of its staff, which should be a major red flag for prospective families. I encourage parents to read the reviews, speak with current and former employees, and do your own research before making a decision. Families deserve to know what they are signing up for.

The school also provides breakfast & lunch for the kids, which is so very helpful to our family, especially since Finn is such a picky eater. We are so lucky to have them and the program!

That was a powerful testament to our district and community!

My son couldn't wait to go to school everyday and always had a great time while he was there. He came home with art projects, papers showing what he had learned that week, and they even brought in some people to teach the kids how to brush their teeth. Linda has a strong personality and a very strict standard of care. She does not baby the kids nor does she sugarcoat a child's behavior. She employs strict cleaning schedules for the staff, and hand washing with the kids. They love the children they care for and that is exemplified in how happy my son is when he is there, how excited he gets when it's time to go to school and simply in how I see her interact with the kids. She has rules, much like any family, and she expects children to learn from and abide by them. I don't want to bring my son to a place where he is baby'd and doesn't learn basic rules of society. She is a fantastic provider and I wouldn't take my children anywhere else. If they can't be home with me, nothing makes me happier than to have them with her.

I love that Lisa pays such special attention to the individual needs of each child - she has a gentle and nurturing manner as well as a teaching background and her skill and patience has resulted in excellent relationships between the kids as well as positive behaviors in my daughter. A few things I have noticed popping up "out of the blue" include everything from a lot more please and thank you (which I am not even the best at remembering myself) to only taking 3 squares of toilet paper from the roll. "1, 2, 3, pieces!" my daughter now says instead of pulling as much as she can off of the roll. It is also not uncommon to hear her singing a new song that she learned at school or to have her tell me excitedly about her adventures that day - taking the bus - playing on the swings - art projects and puppet shows to name a few. I would encourage any parent who values a calm and healthy environment for their child to meet Lisa and talk further about her values and philosophies. Forest Friends Children's House may be the perfect option for you. It is for us!

When our granddaughter attended other schools she failed miserably. Since attending Silver State Charter School she built her confidence, enjoys learning and prides herself in getting straight 'A's. This is largely due to the flexibility in schedule, the knowledge of the faculty in helping students that have learning disabilities as well as other students that had problems in public schools. My granddaughter enjoyed her middle school years here, last year when she would come home from school and did not understand an assignment she was able to contact her teachers 24/7 via email for help sometimes it was 10:00 PM at night and would receive a reply within 20 minutes. All of the faculty and the classified staff are equally, kind, caring and understanding of the students and parents. No matter how busy they are, they are available to help you, and answer any questions and concerns you or your student may have. My granddaughter just retuned to Silver State Charter High School as a freshman this week and absolutely loves it. Already in the first week of school the faculty and the classified staff are helping her succeed! Special thanks to all of them. Yes, I highly recommend Silver State Charter School to any student that wishes to receive quality education and guidance. I can go on and on about this school but I would be writing a novel.
