The classroom is incredibly CLEAN, always well organized and decorated with so much creativity. I appreciated that the staff are all so attentive to details. From class projects to events throughout the year and even putting together a memory book for each child, they are SO creative and make everyday fun! There is such a sense of family at the school. The teachers interact so well with the children and genuinely care for each child. Ms. Misty and Ms. Nicole (and all helpers) understand that children are all at different places socially and academically and are sensitive to these differences. Our daughter was so timid when the school year began and very apprehensive, but over time grew more and more comfortable and before long could not wait for preschool days! She is now ready and eager for kindergarten. We would HIGHLY a recommend this preschool to anyone and hope these teachers are still there when our baby is ready to attend.

After living in Tahoe for 18 years and having the privilege to work in almost every school and preschool around the lake and in the valley, Incline Village Nursery School is the only place I would send my twin boys. IVNS is the best preschool at the lake and my family commuted for one year in order to give our twin boys the best opportunity to attend an amazing preschool and this year we relocated to Incline Village so they could attend another year of preschool at IVNS. My twins boys and my family are so excited to be a part of the IVNS family for another year! IVNS is a clean, safe, educationally appropriate setting with amazing teachers. For me what is important in a preschool is the level of education of the teachers, the way each teacher interacts with the students to help guide each child to success and confidence and a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. This review is of my experiences at the High School, it will differ to each of their own, but I believe sharing my experiences can be beneficial to know. Sierra Lutheran is a high school that is focused on community with students. You get to know everyone. Whether if that is a good thing or a bad thing, is up to your opinion. With that in mind, I met a lot of people that I can consider to be lifelong friends due to that small community. Along with that, I had some of the best teachers I've ever had in my years of education from public education to private education. Those individuals know who they are, as incredible men and women who dedicate so many hours to show that they care about their students. Here is now, the next portion, of why I am rating Sierra Lutheran 1 star and I will try to be as direct to the point as possible for any possible future students and parents: From my time at Sierra Lutheran from 2019-2023, I have seen the school changed dramatically. Multiple shifts in leadership and constant change that harmed the student body in many ways, both mentally and spiritually with religious practices. I have seen staff members who left unexpectedly during the school year from some kind of fallout with the school. I have seen really bad things that have been covered up in the process of that. As someone who was known as "The Voice of The Falcons," I was high enough in status to see many things that should have not occurred in an educational institution that most students would not normally witness. Behaviors such as covering up certain wicked situations so parents would not unenroll from the school. You can ask any student that went and graduated in the last 3 years or longer, of their experiences and quite a few would express a similar view. You can even ask any current students at SLHS who have been there for over a year too. Among this, I was treated horribly by the school with my hours of volunteer work I poured into the school. To not even exaggerate, I at least put in over 500 hours, if not more, of volunteer time for Sierra Lutheran. Late last fall, I was called to volunteer for the school, which I put in my time as I wanted to help the school, which later on I was laid off without reason. I asked the Head of the School at the time about why this occurred, which they did not know. This led to the staff member who laid me off, to call me and insult me over the phone and call me a "crying child" and a "small child" among various insults that should have never been stated. No consequences ever came from that, as far as I know. That staff member is still at the school. There are many things I wish I could put in this review, but literally for legal reasons and to protect myself, that is as far as I will go. I made this review because recently, I was informed of still ongoing issues that are occurring at SLHS from a few close friends who still go there. It made me disappointed, that the school hasn't gone for a more positive direction. If there is anything I realized, some things in life will just never change, even under "new management" or if you try to advertise with flashy statistics or numbers. If you are contemplating whether if you want to send your child to Sierra Lutheran High School, I wouldn't. I would never send my child to SLHS knowing what I experienced from the school. I would heavily suggest you to look elsewhere, such as Bishop Manogue in Reno, if you are seeking private education and for your child to have a deeper learning experience with Christ.

When enrolling in this school it claims that it certifies students in CPR, however after 8 weeks there has been no CPR and we will have to wait over a month after the class is over to take the CPR course. They keep everything clean! Super clean! I get there towards the end of the day sometimes and see some of their cleaning regime and it's beyond thorough, and I don't even see what goes on beyond the scenes! They take the children on wonderful field trips! Just last week they baked cookies and brought them to the local fire department down the street. I have seen them leave for some of the field trips and the adult/teacher to child ratio is perfect. They seem to be right on par with every code I have researched and go above and beyond to make it a fun, safe, and clean learning environment for our kiddos! It is so nerve racking making the right choice of where to send our children for schools, and I believe wholeheartedly that A+ is the right decision for my family and many others! It is the most affordable daycare I have ever encountered and their hours are from 7:30-5:30. The neighbor isn't Catholic, so wasn't biased based on religion. He said that if he were to start all over again, he'd send his daughter there without hesitation. So, I enrolled my son in the preschool there, and was very pleased that they treat each child like a very special person with individual needs, ambitions, and potential. He attended Kindergarten there too. He has since moved on to a school in San Francisco due to the breakup between his mother and me, but I still feel very connected to the school. My new sweetheart sends her daughter to the school, and is very pleased. Other friends ditto that. Things that really set this school apart from others for me are: * A strong sense of community amongst the families whose children attend the school. * A strong sense of connection to the families the school exhibits. * Unbridled dedication to providing the best education, learning environment, and experience for the children even without the big budget of a public school. * The opportunity to interact directly with the faculty, staff, and other families every morning and afternoon on the school grounds when dropping off and picking up my child without having to make some special effort. * If my child was naughty, I'll find out immediately when I pick him up; not after he gets so far out of control that it must be escalated to a phone call home (more likely when I'm at work). Thus, I am empowered to nip undesirable behavior in the bud; not only after it has become habitual. * The values being taught to my child all day every day. * The longer school days (compared to public schools), which means that my child gets more classroom time to get a quality education. * The dedication to serving the entire local community; not just Catholics. 75% of the students are non-Catholics, including Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, and others. * The school teaches tolerance of all demographics, regardless of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, etc. No demographic is ever belittled. * With almost no extra effort on my part, I am informed of my child's daily experiences in school, how well he is doing, and whether there are any issues to address. * I feel empowered with regard to my child's education.
