Oh man where should I even start.
I go way back with this place. It started from back in august of 2021. I've called them multiple times, made appointments but I got different responses regarding payment and how the insurance would work. It was confusing to say the least so I ended up not going. But then after a couple of months, I decided to give them a try. So I called again and asked about payment, they told me it'll be $150 through insurance (I have an HRA account) or $75 if I pay cash. So I said okay, I'll pay cash.
So I went to my first appointment. I confirmed the payment options with the guy at the front desk. I told him that there was a guy who told me back in august that it would be $100 through insurance (HRA) and the guy at front desk said "oh yeah, he doesn't work here anymore" I thought that was weird but whatever. I shrugged it off.
Let's talk about when I go to the back, it was a very young girl. She told me to lay down on the bed and there was a pillow there. I saw a long strand of reddish/dark brown hair on the pillow. Gross. I brushed it off and laid down. She taught me some breathing exercises for my diastasis recti. The weird thing is that what she was having me do was so strange. She had me doing sit ups and I know people with DR are NOT supposed to do sit ups. And she also told me to breath in, do a kegal, tighten my abs, tighten my butt (she said this is THE MOST important) and then hold it all in for 15 minutes while breathing in and out. I thought that sounded really really strange. I did it going home and it made my DR worse. I was in so much pain around my belly button area. Sharp pain whenever I moved.
Then I found out they double charged me. They charged my insurance (way more than $150) AND charged my credit card. I called my insurance and called their office. Their boss ended up calling me and after some arguments back and forth, he finally agreed to refund me the money he overcharged me. I mean it's nice that he at least acknowledged that it was a mistake and refunded me but the process wasn't as easy or smooth as it should have been. I shouldn't have needed to raise my voice or argue for my money back. The owner actually asked me multiple times, "SO WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!" Like as if it's not obvious what the correct thing to do would be. They refunded me what I overpaid but they still got overpaid because my insurance paid for a portion and I paid cash. All I got back was what I overpaid out of my HRA account. But they still made extra money off of their double billing.
But yeah, the whole experience was terrible. Not only was the whole payment thing frustrating and time consuming, I actually paid for them to worsen my stomach muscle. I would avoid this place at all cost. They're very unorganized, the turn over rate is high, and no one knows what they're doing here.
