The spring on my garage door was broken so I had some technicians come out and give me a quote. He gave me three or four different "options" which were all quite pricey. We chose to go with an option that included a 10 year warranty on the parts. The seal on the bottom of my garage was in terrible shape but of course it wasn't included in the bid so I ended up paying over $1200 for some fancy springs. When I called to find out about the seal, he said that he could come out and "fix it" for an additional $350. I wasn't impressed. We won't be using them again. read more

I backed into my garage as it was going up. It was bent on the bottom, but overall didn't look too bad. The technician came and said that it was irreparable, and we would need to replace the entire garage door for $2500. He also quoted a price for the service call and then charged me more in the end claiming that his boss said he had to charge me more. It felt like a bait and switch. he further stated that I didn't need to worry because when we replace the door it will all be applied toward that total. Well, no thanks! We were referred to A Plus Garage Repair through my sister/brother in law who had used them previously for their garage door repair. We weren't quite sure why our garage door wasn't closing, but needless to say, my husband aka TIM "The Toolman" TAYLOR ended up breaking the chain while trying to figure out what was wrong with the door/sensor. Anyway, my sister & brother in law gave us the number to A Plus and we called them and set up an appointment for the next day. Our technician, Josh, showed up & was very professional, prompt, efficient & quickly gave us a quote. To replace the motor and chain that included 2 remotes, a new garage opener & an outside keypad it came out to $749 (Liftmaster) That wasn't too bad and the tech had it all done in about an hr or so. Also, they did not give any referral credit so instead, we got a coupon for $30 off any future service call & the motor has a lifetime warranty. Would definitely use them again! We appreciated their prompt, efficient & professional service. Our new garage opener system comes with a lot of cool perks - like being able to open the garage with your phone & is sooo quiet! I saw that A Plus Garage Doors was running a "Quiet Door" special on Facebook. Definitely caught my eye since my garage door had been driving me crazy. No quiet garage door at my house !!! They sent out their service tech, Chris. Based on this, my first experience and my "call back" experience I'll most certainly use A Plus in the future. A Plus will be my " go-to" for everything garage! I would definitely request Chris again. He's knowledgeable, professional, and was patient with my multitude of questions. I really appreciated how the company (Chris) handled my call back. This is important Abouy a week or so later my garage door started to screech like a nail on a chalkboard when closing. Chris came back out as soon as he could to check it out. He was very thorough in getting to the bottom of the screech! He took care of the obnoxious noise. Our garage door stopped working. I called at 3:30 PM and Wesley was here probably 15 minutes later. (He said he was in the area) The springs had broken. He gave me several options to choose from and had everything he needed on the truck. (It's frustrating when someone has to go back to a shop for something). After choosing which option I wanted, it took him about 30 minutes to complete the job. Wesley was polite, friendly and professionally dressed in a work uniform. The dispatcher that took my original call was also extremely polite and professional. I waited on the phone while she contacted Wesley and it took just a minute to come back tell me he'd be here between then (3:30) and 6:30. I was shocked when he was here so fast. I don't do a lot of YELP reviews - if I can't say something nice, I don't say anything. Craig showed up on time and was courteous and professional as he went to work evaluating my squeaky and slightly shaky garage doors with slightly under powered motors. He went through multiple options and I selected rebuild over brand new, due to wait time. I've waited months for everything at this point. My dad's garage door broke this evening. Being 90yrs old, he went to the phone book and called two places who didn't pick up despite advertising as having Emergency Services. I went to Yelp and put in Garage Door Repair. A Plus Garage Doors came up with 5 stars so I called them first. They picked up quickly and said they could send someone in about an hour. Craig called before he came and showed up promptly. He had to rebuild the door and put in a newer, quieter motor easily and skillfully. He showed my dad all the features of the new setup, making sure my dad understood. From call to finish it took about 4.5hrs. We'll be using them for the maintenance. They've gained a loyal customer.
