In general, you need a few things to keep you safe throughout your life and especially when you move to a new unfamiliar location. Find a really good primary care provider, meet your local police officers and have a security specialist you can trust. Feel free to list what you may want. Today I completed my list. Larry was a referral from Joe at Carpets+. Larry and Axl are the team at The Key Man and I would be hard pressed to think of any better. We did a security walk-through, Larry made suggestions and tweeked a few things to a point where I feel much safer in an alrerady safe area. I'm really saddened by my experience with the Keyman yesterday. I have utilized the Keyman over several years. Larry has always been very customer service oriented and provided a great prompt, kind and professional service! His son seems to have taken over and his demeanor is very cold, unfriendly and rude! I guess when he has job security he doesn't care about how he treats the customer! I was told he was "put out" because I had purchased a $250 key fob and he had to recut the key for my car! It took him a good half hour to complete the job which I had no problem with at all. When I took my key fob out it make sure everything was working, it would not unlock my car door. This was a tepkacement Fob because the first one I ordered would work correctly. I went back in and said I don't mean to be a pain but my door isn't working with the fob? He said, very rudely and under his breath "It's not the fob!". there were two other customers in the store and they heard it as well! He wouldn't even look at me and kept his back to me! The lady in the store wemy out to my car with me and helped me! I was doing something wrong and we got it to work. That said the kid didn't need to be rude or have the lousy attitude he had through the whole process! I won't ever go back there! ****Larry if you see this, as a business owner myself for over 30 years, if this was my employee I'd encourage him to be respectful and professional as you have always been. I was in a real pickle since the lock on my door to my business completely failed on Christmas Eve. Luckily they were open, and while they didn't have the exact part they needed to replace it on hand, they were able to use their ingenuity to sort something together from other parts that got the lock fully functioning again so that my business could be securely locked over the holiday. If you dont need your lock for over a month then this is the place to go to. If you like to get yelled at by the manager lady then this is the place to go to. If you like to have a 4" x 3" solid metal heavy lock THROWN at you and told to get the F out of her store and to never come back then this is the place to go to. I dropped off my lock over a month ago and this was the 3rd time I came to pick it up and it still was not ready. I questioned the young man who was polite but did not seem happy and the WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST came out and tore me a new one.....Never in my life has this ever happened to me. She literally threw the lock at me. She is so lucky it didnt hit me because I would have filed assault charges against her. The two young men did not seem happy, I hope they get another job. I can't imagine the abuse they have to deal with. The WICKED PHYCHO WITCH needs anger management really bad!!! read more

They were able to fit us in the same day, and when I had to reschedule last minute they were totally understanding, and rescheduled us for the next morning. I needed two door latches replaced; he was very quick, and very professional and friendly. He even went out of his way to find a handyman recommendation for us for some other repairs we needed done. The key FOB on my '02 Cadillac wore out and I purchased two new ones from Amazon. When I received the replacement key FOB I was surprised to find that I could not self program and had to take the FOBs to a locksmith or to the Cadillac dealer. I called both the dealer and "The Key Man" and to my surprise "The Key Man" was less than one third the price of the dealer. My estimated wait time at the dealer was about 90 minutes. When I arrived at "The Key Man" I received immediate attention and was finished in less than 20 minutes. Be careful with this retailer, I purchased a Keyless (CitiLoc), installed OK but the key pad does not work, called them and they want $45.00 to come out, I asked if a tech could just stop by when in the area, the answer NO, we need $45.00 to come by. I would try Home Depot or Lowes before trying this company. Too bad, we heard some service was the company motto, so we tried them. read more

I bought an old truck when I moved to ST George six years ago knowing at the time you had to wiggle the key when you turned the key in the ignition. The seller acknowledged the problem and said I should have just gotten the switch replaced at Keyman but I never got around to it. In any case I bought the truck and soon afterwards went to keyman and told them the problem and said I wanted them to change the ignition switch and do whatever needed to be done to the doors so I didn't have to carry two different keys. I paid them and left. It never worked any better. I have returned countless time and they repeatedly said it was a bad key and they gave me a new one. I argued with them and they keep saying the same thing. I have a bunch of free keys a keep a spare in the car and tell anyone I loan the truck to giggle the key and if turning it over doesn't work try the spare. I know they must do other things just fine. My experience they couldn't or wouldn't fix my problem. I am ready to sell it and I know I have to pay someone who knows what they are doing to fix it. And you're right thinking that I should have done that years ago. read more

If you want a car key or keyfob made, save your money and go to the car dealer! I brought in 2 different key fobs guaranteed to work for my car and they could not program them to work. They said that the key fobs were duds (they were bad and didn't work) but if I paid for them to program it a 3rd time they said they could do it if they ordered the key themselves. I asked how long it would be? They said that they can usually have it in the next day. I don't hear from them that week so I call them on the phone (about a week later) and ask if my key is there? a lady says she doesn't know and will look into it and call me back shortly. I never got a call back...ever. I went in later that week physically to ask where is my key is I just spent over $300 for because obviously they don't care to call back on the phone. They make a phone call to see where my key is, turns out they haven't even ordered it! I paid them in advance for the service over $300 and it would still be another week! They had some stupid dog running around the store and my wife is afraid of dogs, sure enough their dog comes and jumps on my wife, giving her a panic attack. We leave the store very upset and go immediately to the car dealer. The car dealer was very friendly and got things done quickly! The car dealer explained that The Key Man didn't have the proper equipment to program these newer kinds of key fobs. It turns out my key fobs I had actually did work and they could be programmed. It's just that The key man equipment was outdated for my 2013 car, but they still charged me each of the 3 times to program it. Thanks for wasting a month of my time, ripping me off, giving my wife a panic attack and giving us no service. I would give this place 0 stars if I could! read more

Had a custom door lock bolt get jammed. Took it all over town and NO ONE had a clue how to fix it. In fact they all told me I needed to order a new one(quite expensive) the last place i tried was the Key Man. I got there just before closing and they not only stayed open to take a look at it, they were the only ones who knew how to fix it! Excellent customer service and product knowledge! read more
