I really enjoyed my lessons with him, and could not believe how quickly I developed confidence as a driver (I am 36 and had never driven before- either in the US or overseas, so I was starting from scratch). In just over a month, I felt prepared to take the road test. I actually began my lessons with another driving school, but left that school as the instructor was inattentive and unprofessional (talking/texting on his phone for most of the lesson, scheduling lessons with other students in the middle of my lesson). The behavior of the previous instructor made me extremely tense and apprehensive about what is a pretty daunting endeavor. On the other hand, when I began lessons with Ron I started to enjoy the process...which is how it should be! I also felt that he actually enjoyed teaching, which made me look forward to my lessons and made it easier to forget whatever stress I had before getting into the car with him. I also found it really convenient that Ron offers 1-hour lessons (most schools only offer 2)...that way I could take shorter lessons more frequently, and I think this was critical for me in terms of becoming more comfortable with the whole process (two hours seems like it will expedite the process but, when you are a beginner, the process is a bit overwhelming (you on edge the entire lesson, which takes a toll on the nerves) and, personally, I just wasn't able to cope with two 2-hour lessons a week. In my opinion, the shorter lessons spaced closer together were key to my success. I would highly recommend Ron if you want to not only become a great driver, but also enjoy the process.

She taught me all about the road rules, parking strategies, and even helped me overcome my fear of driving on the highway. I took the road test a few days after the lesson and passed it on the first try itself. I was a little nervous because of the rule that Naheel could not administer the road-test for me. But her husband, who did the road test, was also very fair and professional. My passing the road test would not have been possible without the excellent and patient coaching provided by Naheel during my lesson. I highly recommend this company to all new drivers, especially if you are an adult-driver who needs to get a US license.

WTF?! Here's a detailed timeline if you want to read more. 1. I scheduled an appointment with them at 12:30, showed up at 12:10. During the wait, nobody told me what I needed to do. At around 12:20, I walked up to a male instructor and let him know that I had an appointment at 12:30. He told me to wait until it was my turn, and someone would come to me. Nobody ever came up to me. 2. At around 12:40, I went up to a female instructor who just came back from a road test. I told her that I had an appointment at 12:30. The female instructor told me that she was running late and was supposed to leave at 1:00 pm. She had to do another test originally scheduled at 12:00, but another instructor would do my test instead. She didn't apologize to anyone affected by her delay. 3. At around 1 pm, the male instructor came back. I went up to him and told him again that my test was scheduled at 12:30, but he had another test to do and said I would be the next. 4. At around 1:20, the female instructor came back. I didn't expect her to give me the test because she said she was going to leave at 1:00, but I saw her standing 30 feet away from my car seemingly waiting for me like I was supposed to know what to do. 5. As I pulled up to her, she didn't come close to my window or anything. I brought my documents and walked up to her. She started saying that she wouldn't be giving me the test, but she would help fill up my paperwork. 6. As she was filling up the paperwork, she asked me where I learned to drive. I wasn't sure what kind of answer I was supposed to give her, like which road I learned to drive on? I thought she might've asked 'when' instead of 'where' so I tried to confirm with her. Then she changed the question to who taught me to drive. I told her "it was my friend, to be more specific, my husband". She hesitated and asked, 'so...your partner?' I sensed some hostility towards my homosexuality but I didn't take it very seriously as there might be some cultural and/or religious difference. 7. After she was done with the paperwork, she instructed me to start the road test. Wait, what? I thought she wasn't going to do my road test? When did it change? Maybe she's just gonna do my parking test and let the other instructor take over after? Anyway, I was glad if she was to give me the road test because it means I didn't have to wait any longer, but I would appreciate it more if I could be informed of any plan change for the test I paid for. 8. After the parking test, she got in my car. I explained to her that I was planning to adjust my mirrors even though they were already adjusted because I heard people say it's a must in the test. She didn't respond. But as I was adjusting the mirrors, she asked very impatiently, 'Can you move?' 9. The way she spoke with me and the way she gave instructions during the road test was very condescending with a lack of respect and professionalism. Despite me waiting for about an hour and how uncomfortable she made me feel, I showed her great respect. Each time she 'issued a command', I would say 'okay, thank you' to show my appreciation for her time and to confirm that her instruction was received. 10. In the end, we had an argument. She stormed out of my car without a proper conclusion. I said to her as she was getting in her car, ''thank you for making us wait for one hour". She replied, "You are welcome" with contempt on her face. I guess some people take pride in being rude. 11. She didn't give me my receipt so we drove to their office to get it. She kept us locked out the whole time except when she handed out the receipt. When my husband pointed out that she was tardy and unprofessional, she just threw at our face an unexplained and ungrounded accusation of us being prejudicial.

The in classroom instructor, Dr. Suggs, isn't great, very condescending attitude and assuming you will fail, but not life threatening like the driving instructor (I think his last name is Doering.) I would not recommend this school to anyone, it was a terrible experience.

I had done a bit of research online ahead of time, but wanted to talk through it with someone and get a better sense of feel and how it works/looks in person. Ended up walking out with a used Sony Rx10 iii in excellent condition and associated accessories (bag, extra battery, SD card, card reader, lens protector) and technicalllly under the budget I had stated... :) So far so good! A couple days after this purchase, I ended up going back to upgrade the bag to a slightly larger one that could hold some additional items. Now technicallllly slightly over budget lol but I'm happy about my items so far and the customer service/help!
