Extremely Disappointing Experience
I had a very disappointing experience with this driving instruction company and ultimately cancelled my contract.
For my daughter's first scheduled driving lesson, the instructor never showed up. I was not contacted by the instructor or anyone from the company to let me know that she had called in sick. I had to reach out to the company myself to find out what was going on.
When I tried to schedule my daughter's next two lessons, I was then told that I would have to wait approximately a month and a half because her instructor was going out on medical leave. I asked if my daughter could be assigned to a different instructor instead.
The scheduler, Mayra, asked about my daughter's availability, and I explained that her availability was "relatively open". When I said that the 12:30-2:30 time slot would not work because my daughter is at school during that time, Mayra became extremely argumentative and yelled at me over the phone, telling me that my daughter was not actually "open" and that some people homeschool, so that should count as being available. I was simply explaining when my daughter was actually available for driving lessons.
The conversation became so uncomfortable that I eventually had to hang up because I did not feel I was being spoken to respectfully.
I cancelled my contract and explained that one of the reasons was the way I was treated on the phone. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, Mayra called me a liar.
At that point, I did not even ask for my money back. I simply wanted to end my relationship with the company because I did not want to continue dealing with this level of customer service.
Things happen -- instructors can get sick and schedules can change. What is unacceptable is not communicating with customers, making them chase the company for answers, and then yelling at and calling a customer a liar when they try to resolve the situation.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. The way a business treats its customers when something goes wrong says a lot about the company. read more
