My family and I had been with this company since summer of 2023 when we moved here to Wayne County. We chose them because of thier competitive quarterly pricing. But throughout the three years we had been with them they consistently forget to pickup our trash. We always put it out on thursday evenings. Friday mornings are our scheduled pickup time. I can understand holidays are busy. Or bad weather causes delays. But it happens consistently. Each time I call the office and leave a message reminding them they forgot us. A woman calls me back either that following evening or the following Saturday telling me she "has no idea why this keeps happening". Or tells me she has talked to the drivers. That she can find out why it keeps happening. I told her I don't care as to why. That I just want my trash picked up each week on my scheduled pickup day. Us customers pay quarterly so that we don't have to haul our junk to a dump. I pay on time if not early. I keep getting excuses and lies. It's gotten ti the point where they don't even answer right away to avoid having to confrontate. Pure laziness. Unprofessionalism. If you cannot keep up with all of your customers then stop taking on so many people. Or hire better drivers who can read a route schedule. You have a business to run then run it correctly. Believe the bad reviews! The first 2 times I called, I received callbacks the same day. Oh, I thought they changed. Established service and was told I'd get a bin in 7-10 days. Time comes with no bin so I called for an update and was told they'd have it delivered that weekend. Weekend passes, no bin. I called that Monday, left a voicemail, and get no call back. Called 11 days later, no answer, and a message left. I have yet to receive any type of response. Then to add to that, I receive an invoice 2 business days after my initial call. Since I can't get an answer, I sent a contact us message on their website with my experience and told them to cancel my request. This has to be the worst customer service and especially since this is new business for them. Keep your bin! If this is the experience just establishing service, I hate to see how the pickup service is. I called GFL on Wednesday, which costs more, and my can was delivered the next day. I received a reply on February 03 stating the following: Hello, Thank you for finding interest in our trash disposal service. We offer weekly residential trash pickup. Our rate for regular trash disposal is $54 quarterly. We do offer recycling. We come every other week for recycling and it will be an additional $21 quarter. So, with both it will cost $75 quarterly. We can have a can delivered to you in approximately 7 days. I can either take your information through email or you may call the office with your information. It will not cost anything up front. I will send you your invoice within a few business days and you will then have 14 days to pay for the 1st quarter. In the meantime, we will get can to you. Your day of pickup will depend on your address. I replied with: Good afternoon, Thank you very much for your response. I will be looking for your invoice in the mail. (Gave Billing/Residential Address) A couple of weeks later on a Saturday a Bin was dropped off, but I had not seen a invoice in the mail. Again, I sent an email: Good afternoon ERIC, I've still not received an invoice from A Plus in the mail. When calling the number I can't get anyone to answer the phone. I need trash pick up this week. How can I pay for this? NO RESPONSE. NO INVOICE. I have called the office multiple times to only get a voicemail. I have used this company in the past. My cans sat by the road for weeks on end without being emptied. I called twice and told them to cancel my service and to pick up their cans. It took them a month before they came and picked up the bins. Employee asked my husband if they were empty and he replied yes. Then the employee said good. I don't usually post but this has me mad. I have been with A+ Disposal for years now. Every since November we have been having issues with them actually picking it up. I have called numerous times with no results. In December they came 2 time in the whole month. So last week I called and canceled my service as well as my mom's (I pay for hers also) within 10 minutes I had a call back. I am paid up until the end of March. The lady was nice in the beginning offering different things to keep our business. I told her that I was having to go to the landfill myself because they were not coming like they were suppose to. Why was I going to pay them and continue to do it myself. When she realized that I was done her attitude changed and she said they don't do refunds and i was paid up through the end of March which I did not ask for. To make a long story short, Today they came and picked up their can and took the bags of trash out and sat them on the ground. I have it all on camera. I called and of course they didn't answer. I am very disappointed with A Plus Disposal. Their service is inconsistent, and they are extremely overpriced. When I called to ask a question, I received poor customer service. Out of the last month, they have missed three weeks of pickups. This morning, 6/4/2024, I called to let them know that our trash was once again not picked up as well as our neighbors who also use their service and they flat out said we didn't have our trash out at 3am when the driver came by. Well we have a doorbell camera and I hate to break it to them but not only were our trashcans out, but NO ONE drove by at 3am. It's June 15, 2021 and on Thursday the 17th my trash has not been picked up for FOUR WEEKS! I've contacted the office by phone at least 15 times in three weeks. The reasons they haven't picked up my trash go from "The Memorial Day weekend messed up their routes" to "the trucks sat in line for the landfill for seven hours" to "we may not service your area anymore but whatever the decision is, we will get in touch with you." The owner has NEVER called me although I was promised he'd get in touch with me at least five times. I believe the staff told me what the boss told them; but they are the ones who suffered because I kept calling and calling and they were probably trying to get him to speak to me. This is a service-based company and they really need to read the definition of customer service in the dictionary. They don't even have their business address on their Web Site! Very poor customer service. Half the time they don't even pick up your trash and trying to get someone on the phone is impossible. My trash was not picked up several weeks in a row and I kept calling their office and leaving messages because no one answers the phone and never got a call back. I did however get a bill in the mail for the upcoming quarter. I continue to call to find out if I was still a customer or not because again no one was picking up my trash. I literally called 7 days in a row and left a voicemail and never received a call back. Finally I did just pay the bill and my trash has been picked up sporadically since then. This past week my trash was not picked up and I called to tell them. I called twice over a three-day period of time and received a call back this morning saying that the reason my trash was not picked up is because I have a plastic child swimming pool in my can, which I do, it is broken into several pieces and is not bagged. I was told when they returned my call that they could not take that because it would blow out of the trailer that they use to pick up with. They use pickup trucks and trailers to collect trash. She said that she would have to contact the office to see how much it would cost for them to send someone out and pick up my trash. I told her I found that completely and totally unacceptable that I would be charged an additional fee for them to pick up an item that is considered regular household trash. I don't understand how it is my financial responsibility to pay an additional amount because of the types of vehicles that they use to perform the service that they're in the business of performing. I also reminded her of the multiple times that I have called because my trash was never picked up and all the times that I've called and no one ever returned my call. She said she would pass this information on to the office in regards to how much they would charge me to come back out and take this child's swimming pool. I told her I found any additional fee that I would be charged to be completely and totally unacceptable and that the service and customer support that they offered from their business was atrocious. Thankfully I am moving and I will no longer have any need for their mediocre service. I will also add that several people in my neighborhood have had very similar situations with this company. This is the worst trash pickup service ever. I dont even know where to start, they should change their name to F Minus. First, they need to get rid of whoever is in charge of answer the phone. They NEVER answer, you always have to leave a voicemail, & if they happen to call you back & you miss their call, they wont bother to leave a voicemail or call you again. I was trying to get in touch with someone to get a refund on my service that I had just renewed because I didnt want to deal with them anymore, their "receptionist" said she'd have their manager call me but they never did. Wide ranging times from 8pm to 3am to sometimes not until late afternoon the following day. If we didn't live in a subdivision with HOA would not have an issue with this but we get fined for leaving cans by the road if left too long. I called 4 times Monday and left messages and emailed, finally someone called back and she was sweet and said she would let the owners know and have them delivered in an expedited way.
