He has kept my older tech running longer and more efficiently than I though possible. Always affordable and up front with costs before repairs are performed. Once he could not help with one computer issue - hard drive was damaged beyond repair - and there was no charge for the evaluation. Who works for free anymore? When we asked if that meant a RAM stick, he repeated "memory chip". Ended up paying $120 for a RAM stick that I could have installed myself! I called another repair guy and he said he would have charged $95 ($65 for an hour and $30 for the RAM stick). When I called to complain about the fee (charging $100 for a $40 "memory chip"--he clarified that he said "memory stick"), he said we would have paid $100 at Micro Center for them to look at it. Shifty! We will not use him again!

What I love is that they will come and fix your computer in your own home and unless major "surgery" is needed, the problem can normally be fixed in an hour or so. Great for busy students and business professionals, who do not have the time to go wait in line and deal with the impersonal computer repair centers. Both times that I have used Friendly Computers, Marty, was my personal repair guru. He saved my life, at least academically, by getting my computer functioning again after an episode with the "blue screen of death" which nearly deleted my entire hard drive and the whole quarter-worth of work, lucky for me Marty saved the day as well as most of my hard drive! I brought 2 laptops in (my old one I…read morehad been using for several years) and my new one which wasn't working as well as I had hoped (however I could've just brought in my old one and gotten it upgraded there instead of getting a new laptop had I known about this place before.) I had them check & remove any viruses & malware / spyware from each computer as well as clear the old one and switch to a Linux based operating system. They also extracted my data from the old laptop and put it on the new one and then upgraded the RAM and overall storage capacity of the Old Laptop. I brought it in to them on a Monday evening and by Tuesday afternoon the next day it was done. The owner Saeed and his staff are very friendly as well. Very satisfied!
