I'm writing because I've now had two different appointments scheduled for having our piano tuned and this is the second time that no one showed up or responded to any of my phone calls or voice mails. I have used A Piano's Friend multiple times for moving my piano, I have always been very impressed with everyone on the team. I have recommended the company to multiple people because of the positive experiences I had with moving my piano. I can tell you that I'm VERY disappointed to have had this now happen twice to me. I have to re-arrange my work schedule so I can be at home, which is fine and definitely worth it because I want to get my piano tuned and I trust Steve. I also gave the benefit of the doubt after the first no-call, no-show tuning incident and thought maybe I had written the date down wrong. But I never even received a call back after I left multiple messages. I spoke with Steve yesterday about the appointment for 9am this morning. He acknowledged me and said he'd be as prepared as he could because we have two broken strings on our piano. Yet here I am, at 10:00 with no one having shown up to tune my piano, and no response to my phone call or voicemail that I left at 9:15. I'm not sure if I will use A Piano's Friend ever again, but will not ever recommend the company. read more

I wish I could give A Pianos Friend 10 stars. We have an old family piano, a 1924 Mason & Hamlin Model A, that needed quite a bit of restoration and repair, and we needed it moved from another family members house to mine. Steve was so helpful and knowledgeable about the piano, what was needed, and gave us a very reasonable bid for the repairs as well as the moving cost. We proceeded with the work, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The piano looks so beautiful, and more importantly, sounds incredible. The whole team was wonderful to work with. Moving from one location to the shop, then back to my house after repairs, was scheduled perfectly. They were always on time and moved the piano with care. Upon final delivery, the team was very professional and helpful about where to place the piano in the room for the best look and acoustics. I have never been so impressed by a company. We needed to move a baby grand piano on very short notice, and when another company told us 4 weeks before they could even pick it up, Brad from A Pianos Friend answered my call and had it picked up two days later. They gave a one hour pickup window, and showed up within that window. My whole family was impressed by their professionalism and politeness. Delivery was also given a 1 hour window, and they showed up 5 minutes early. Have you ever heard of a company delivering 650 miles away and showing up not only on time, but 5 minutes before a one hour delivery window? These folks are awesome. These guys killed it. Showed up at around 1230 to move an 800lb upright piano out of my apartment. By 1240 it was down the steps and on the truck ready to head to my fathers house. They even let me put a coffee table I needed moved on their truck for the trip. In the house and down a flight of steps in 5 minutes. They encountered an issue with the height of the ceiling on the steps but were able to safely remove the pianos top and get it into the basement. No marks on the piano, the floor, the walls, or anything. I was very impressed. They were also the cheapest of the 5-6 piano movers I got quotes from. read more

I just needed a piano moved from my basement to the upstairs living room. I called over the holidays not expecting an answer but not only did they answer, I got on the schedule for just a few days later. They showed up on time (even early) and had it moved in 10 minutes! They were all very professional and friendly. It was a muddy day and they were very careful not to get any mud in the house. Not to mention, the pricing was great! So worth the money. We have moved this piano multiple times over the past 30 years by ourselves and I will never do that again! I will recommend them to everyone! read more

This entire business is top-notch. I have nothing but positive feedback for Eli and Brad (and Co). We were provided an ETA and a text when they were on the way from the atop directly before ours. I cannot tell you how important it is for scheduling to be accurate when you have to have people posted on both ends (pick up and drop off). I received 4 total bids to move a baby grand from one location to another, and then tune it. They were the first to respond, the most reasonably priced, and extremely professional. I am big on communication and they let you know the day before they are coming, when they are on their way and keep in constant communication. The crew was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They've moved our upright piano twice (gosh we need to stop moving haha). Both times we received excellent service, on-time arrival, solid communication and since our first move in 2018 have done some great upgrades like text confirmations and updates, and the option to go paperless. 10/10 would use again, but hopefully we don't have to (haha) read more
