If you are getting your house painted with any contractor a few suggestions: 1) Nail down the exact colors and sheens you want for every surface. Find a house with what you want that is already done and go with it. Suggest using a flatter sheen if picking between two. Rich, before you start with the we didn't do it stuff. I have pictures of electrical outlets in the kitchen and living room where Juan and Steve deliberately painted over them. I also have pictures of the bleached out area in the front bedroom which was never there before you had to come back to finish your mess. Our empty Cholrox Disinfecting Wipes can was left behind. I have had to pay Peter from PJ Plumbing $150 to remove the garbage disposal because either Juan or Steve forced the strainer down into the mouth of the disposal so hard that even the plumber couldn't remove it. You're lucky I didn't file a BBB claim about all the damage you and your employees have done. We have spent multiple hours of our time and money cleaning up after you. You should also be aware of Penal Code 368 PC elder abuse statute makes it a crime to inflict physical or emotional abuse on anyone 65 years or older. Elder abuse is covered under California Penal Code Section 368. It covers a wide array of criminal offenses that may occur in different situations. Rich, the owner, is a top notch HIGH integrity individual. Definitely very rare in the home improvement business. He must pay his staff very well because a) they say good stuff about him, b) they take their time to do the work, c) they seem to really enjoy what they are doing. My favorite thing about working with Rich is his attitude. And my favorite quote from him is "Don't worry, it's just paint." We never felt rushed...from us deciding on the colors to them taking care of all the details and touch ups. Again, Rich said "it's just paint." We actually had to change the body color after he painted a large same of the color on our house, and his crew was already there working. He brought us another color, painted another large area, and waited for myself and my wife to make the final call. I am sure that slowed him down...again, he didn't care...it's just paint. I feel like he will do anything to get the job done right. Sorry for the rambling. In any case, we loved working with Rich! His prices were super reasonable. His customer service was over the top. And his work is impeccable. Last bit of rambling. I ended up asking him to repaint my baseboards inside the house. Rich could have taken a baseboard and gone to the paint store to match it. He didn't do that because he said it wouldn't look right since we are not repainting all the doors and door frames. He matched it using color swatches to get the most consistent visual results. He must have spent 20-30mins doing that! That level of details is way beyond my expectations. And did I mentioned his crew disassembled, repainted, and reassembled all the outdoor lights around the house? That must have taken one guy 2-3 hours to do. Did he charge me? NOPE!! He said that's the only way to make the house look new. HOLY CRAP!! I will recommend Rich to anybody. I will be using him for all my painting needs. Rich just knows what he's doing. He has painted 5 homes on our cul de sac because one neighbor after another raved about the job he and his crew has done. We live in tract housing so our estimates were very similar, yet he had additional details to take care of for which he did NOT charge extra. We had a large wall of ivy that he completely tore down. He is thorough and efficient. Permits and water blasting were completed promptly. The crew was nearly done with the job when he realized he still needed paint for our red front door. We didn't have the old paint can like I thought, so he matched the color, ran out to buy it and painted the door himself. Even our light fixtures look brand new.
