I had a flat tire and requested towing through Geico and this company was assigned to me. Through the Geico app, I entered all of my information including my location and an ETA of 60 minutes was given. 70 minutes after my request, when no one had shown up yet, I called the dispatch number and was told that it would take another 15 to 20 minutes. 10 minutes later, I received a call from the tow truck driver asking for my location, saying that he was never provided an address. After a lot of back and forth, my car was finally towed at the 1.5 hour mark, even though the company is located 10 minutes away. The company needs to be better organized; the only redeeming factor was that the tow truck driver was really nice. read more

We are VERY happy with A-One Towing. We had to have a work van towed from our office to the repair shop and with another tow company, they charged us $328. I was floored! They towed it 3 miles and billed us $328. But with A-One Towing, they towed it the same distance for just $120! $120 is much more reasonable. They responded within minutes, kept in communication with us and delivered the van without issue. I highly recommend this local towing company. We will be using them again. read more

I got a flat tire on my way to work this morning. I made it to work then called my insurance company. I told them where I wanted my car towed (my car is not equipped with a spare tire). They hired A-One Towing to pick up my car and deliver it to the requested destination. Juan arrived before the ETA, was very professional and courteous. He called me when he arrived and waited patiently for me to come outside. He confirmed the address he was delivering my car to and called me when he completed the tow and gave me the name of the person at the business he left my keys with. Nobody wants to need a tow company but it was the most convenient inconvenience I have experienced in a long time. Juan was easy to talk to, easy to contact and provided excellent customer service. I got A-One Towing through a AAA call and had a great experience. My truck was parked deep in the depths of my spot in a parking garage and wouldn't start. Juan showed up and with only a brief look of agony, helped me push my truck out of the garage in reverse, up the drive, and to the tow truck. Huge thanks to Juan for helping me out. read more

SUPER, SUPER RUDE STAFF!! Arrived three hours late. Driver yelled at me to text my address "RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I'M DRIVING"... didn't get out of the tow truck and made me CLIMB onto the truck to speak to the driver!! Continues to be rude and DEMANDED that I come with him to the destination because "he's not responsible for the car". (Could have asked nicely!) Driver was careless about putting my car onto the bed... drove recklessly (90mph)... and CRASHED MY CAR INTO THE WALL upon delivery. RUDE Manager Tony calls a couple days later to question the incident. Towards the end of the call, I told him that it would have been nice to have an apology on behalf of the company/his driver.... he said, "OH! PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE CALLING A-ONE TOWING IDIOTS !!!! I lost my keys to my car and front door and called my insurance company to ask for someone to tow me to the dealership to get new keys made. They called A-One Towing and scheduled an appointment for the next morning at 6:00 AM. At 6:30 AM no arrival I called and spoke with the owner and he stated they were in route and would be there in less than 10 minutes. At 7:00 AM I called back and notified him that they had not arrived and I had a 7:45 AM appointment scheduled with my dealer since my car keys needed a special chip to even start the car and the person who does it will only be in until 9:00 AM that day. The owner proceeded to say "Listen (angry voice)!!! I did nothing to you you better respect me or I will have my guy turn around and you won't get a tow!!!" I asked him is he serious his "guy" is already over 1 hour late without any notice and he should be apologizing to me and that he shouldn't speak to people that way. He then stated "this is the last time I'm going to tell you to respect me or else" by then I had a few choice words for him such as f*** off and that I would call professionals to do the job instead. During this time I called AAA and they scheduled a professional to come out within an hour. During this time his (A-ONE) "guy" comes at 8:08 AM! Dressed in slacks, a button up shirt, and enough grease in his hair to deep fry a turkey and says "Where's your car? I have other appointments to get to" I proceeded to show him and he states "Oh you need a dolly to get your car because you do not have keys, so I cannot take it". By this time I was irate and ready to freak out because I called a tow company because I LOST MY KEYS YOU ASSHOLES that was the whole purpose why would you come unprepared. I then asked him to leave my property because he was an idiot and started taking pictures of his truck and iPhone video so future customers could avoid headaches by these jerks and idiots. By that the time he attempted to leave AAA arrived and completed the service and took my car away within minutes without problems. I'm glad PROFESSIONALS still exist somewhere!!!! Worst scamming tow company ever! They agreed to tow my car one way for FREE, and then later on charged me for a two way tow. They claimed they could fix my car and I agreed to the free tow to their shop and then assumed I could drive my car back home. After they couldn't give me an accurate quote for the service I needed done on my car I told them to tow it back to my home. I agreed to pay for the one way tow and these scammers end of reneging on the initial free tow to the shop and charging me for the tow both ways!!! $150 for a tow job two minutes from the shop. I live 2 mins from their shop and literally wanted them to tow my car down the hill to my house. WORST TOW SHOP AND AUTO MECHANICS IN EL SOBRANTE. RUN!! read more

Awesome! I had a flat tire and needed it changed. The driver (sorry not sure of his name ) was here earlier than my original estimate, very courteous, friendly and efficient. I had my spare on within an hour of my call and I'm back in business. He was also very helpful with advice on when I drive the spare and when I take it to the tire shop. I'd give them zero stars if that was possible. After waiting an hour for them to arrive, I called them back wondering what was taking so long (since they're only 2 miles down the road). They said they were busy on other calls and would be there in 30 minutes. After 40 minutes, I called them back and they said the road I live on was too steep for their tow truck and that they weren't coming. (This was total bs since my neighbor seems to require a large flat bed tow truck every other month.) I called A&D Towing in San Pablo instead. They came within 20 minutes and the driver was even able to diagnose the problem! read more

Very nasty, very rude, very disrespectful employees. My car would not start so I called my insurance company so that they can have this company tow my car to a car shop. A-one stated that they came to my house but never did. They didn't ring the door bell, they didn't call my cell to say they are outside, nor did they care. It's 8:00pm and I have 3 kids that need to go home and get in the bed for school in the morning. I called them back and they said they showed up! No they didn't . They are liars!!!!!!!! It seems like all of their negative ratings were based on roadside assistance, which I can 100% agree that this is a terrible company when it comes to just that. I called my insurance company to have someone come out to open my door since I locked my keys in the car.. unfortunately I ended up with them who came 2 hours later (which I didn't mind since I was in a safe area). But when I first called them the guy who answered was extremely rude and kept talking to another person at the same time so it was pretty confusing and annoying. So the rude tow guy called me to ask for my address and midway through our conversation started speaking Spanish to me then got upset when I didn't understand him (wtf). Next, he called me again to tell me he was there and he definitely used his smart genes and parked around the corner as if I would know where he'd park. He was yelling at me, upset that I wasn't in my car (which I was waiting nearby because I obviously couldn't get inside genius) and that he left already. So I told him to come back and he said "OK hurry up. Stay with your car." When he arrived, he was distasteful and very unpleasant person to be around. Initially he couldn't get the door open and responded "if I can't get the door open then that's too bad." After 5 minutes of trying, he said he needed to leave since I have other appointments and I told him I paid for his service to open my door, so you can't just leave if my door isn't opened. PLEASE READ BEFORE GETTING SERVICE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! My son got in a car accident and or towing service membership had this company tow us. First the called us that they were 10 minutes away, we said wow they are fast. Then after 25 minutes if waiting they called again saying that they were 5 minutes away. After 30 minutes of waiting we called them to see what was the delay, the guy told us that he was going to call his driver and call us back. After and that 20 minutes of waiting the guy never call us back, I call again and this the me they never answer the phone. We called our towing membership service and they tried calling them, the towing company never answer their call as well. Then after ANOTHER 30 minutes of waiting the tow driver called us that he was 20 minutes away. I asked him are you sure you coming this time? He started getting very rude and nasty. He was saying that he was going to turn back if I did not stop been rude to him. I was like WTF?!?! Dude you got rude to me first and he kept saying rude thing. The thing that really got me very upset is that this idiot WAS LATINO!!! Just like me. THIS TYPE OF PEOPLE IS WHAT MAKES LATINOS HAVE A BAD REPUTATION. I could not have another tow truck called because I was going to be on the side of the freeway another hour and I was tired of waiting. Worst service EVER!!! I called roadside service when my tire blew on the freeway. This place was dispatched, the driver showed up 1:45 minutes later told me he could change my tire and that I needed to be towed. Since he had a flatbed and was a TOW TRUCK I asked if he could tie me. I was told no because I was not in his service area...why the hell did you accept the call if I'm not in your service area!!! Called AAA for a tow and they sent this company that refused to tow my car, jump my car or put air in the tire not sure how they are providing a service. The good thing about business is that there are always plenty others willing to accept the call and render the services that A One Towing claims to provide. Luckily I was not stranded if I were clearly this company would be of no help so let's just say if the job is simple they've got you but if it requires any nominal amount of work good luck. They are forever and permanently blocked from assisting me on any call via AAA. On Monday I will also be speaking with my HR director to remove them from our vendor list as they used to, emphasis on the used to provide services to the employees of the largest transportation agency in the Bay Area no longer!! read more

Negative stars if they could be given. Insurance company set up towing with A-one Towing and said a tow truck would be here at noon. At 130PM, called the number listed, rude man answered the phone, did not even identify the company i was calling and said to call 237-0505 and just hung up without another word. The wrong number is listed for the towing service! Finally the company said someone would be calling within 60 minutes, after I had already been waiting an hour and 45 minutes! Finally called my insurance and had them cancel the tow truck, called another Company instead and they were here within 30 minutes! Stay away! read more

Called roadside assistance as my car died unexpectedly in the middle of the day. They dispatched A One towing to me. They arrived early (the highlight!) and jump started my car. When I asked what might have happened the man said I'd left my lights one. I pointed out that it had died in the middle of the day after working several times, the lights weren't left on, the door wasn't open and so there wasn't user error. He glanced at the battery, said it looked good and there was no problem other than leaving lights on. Up to that point I was planning to take it to a shop to get diagnosed but his assurances meant I didn't. Big mistake. Two days, multiple jumps later, hours of lost time due to waiting for help it's clear that he didn't know what he was talking about. read more
