I recently moved to the area looking for a great tattoo place. The people I work with gave me some places that are close by. I did my research of the artists at multiple shops and the one artist that stood out was Becky at A Nu Tattoo. I showed up with some ideas of what I was looking for and presented them to her, she was very sweet and professional as she explain to me the pros and cons of certain things that would look good over time and what would not read well down the road. Becky showed me her portfolio of what she had done most recently as well of her cover up work. I was blown away. I'm double sleeved and I know what to look for in a tattoo artist, clean lines, good color saturation, and most of all good artistic ability and not to mention she is hilarious. Let me tell you Becky has them all not to mention the needles and tubes are new to every customer. Becky and her staff were all very courteous and very sanitary as they cleaned and prepared all the surfaces before each customer sat down to get the work done. Also the price was perfect for the 4 and a half hours she worked on my piece which I believe she went over and beyond what she charged me. She had walk-ins coming in to get pierced and it was only 10 or 15 minutes tops I had to wait while she took care of them, but if she got more I wouldn't have cared I'm getting something for life on me, I want it to look awesome I'll wait as long as I have to !!! Piece of advice always plan on things like walk-ins, if you're in a hurry then you haven't done your research and you're not ready for a tattoo remember this is something you're getting on you for life. I went to 6 different tattoo shops in the area desperate for someone to tell they could help and get my old horribly crappy tattoos covered up. But all of them said the same thing. That I was screwed because they were so large and all black. I ended up stopping into a nu tattoo on a friends recommendation and I'm glad I did. The head artist name was Becky. I told her my situation, she took a look and said right away she would take care of me. At first I was skeptical and thought they just wanted to say yes and get my money after so many other people said no. But she instilled quite a bit of confidence in me with her ability to cover it up. She took multiple pictures of my arms traced my old tattoos and measured. And asked me to set up an appointment in a few days. I got the appointment set up she showed me what she had gotten worked out and I loved it. She laid out a completely custom multicolor tribal that's pretty much a full sleeve which is exactly what I wanted. All in all it took about four sessions to complete the tattoo. And I've never been happier. She even took care of me on the price knowing that a tattoo of this size could be thousands of dollars I was pleasantly surprised at the end. This place is top notch and I've already got them working on my next three big cover up pieces. My girlfriend is already gotten three tattoos done by Becky and loves all of them. This place is sooooo amazing!!! Not only is the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming, the tattoos are unbelievably well done and gorgeous! People stop me all the time, asking me where I got my tattoos done:-) Becky has done all my work; I call her with an idea and her response every time is a cheerful, "No problem!" She brings the dreams and visions I have to life...Lol-I called her one time and asked her to sketch me an antique oil can, a heart broke wide open, and a scarab:-) Without missing a beat, she said, "No problem!" and by the time of my appointment the next day, she had it all perfectly sketched out, just exactly how I had envisioned them in my mind:-) If you are thinking about getting your first, fifth, or fiftieth tattoo, I'm telling you, this is THE PLACE TO GO!!!You'll never regret it...And that is exactly how you want to feel when you get a tattoo or 2...NO REGRETS:-):-):-) read more

I've been to a couple different tattoo parlours in different states, and I have to say, ANuTattoo in Bedford is very high on that list! Becky is a wonderful person and a fantastic artist. She will work with you on your design and has no problem telling you if she thinks the tattoo you want/placement you want aren't going to work, and will work with you to get it perfect. The prices are reasonable, and while the place can be very busy, they never ignore you here! Not just Becky, but the rest of the staff is also very outgoing. hires homophobic and transphobic artists who have no shame in being bullies online, calling names and when i approached the owner she essentially forwarded my complain to the man in question who followed by sending me private threats on my facebook what a low level of professionalism, tact, and human decency. this tattoo shop clearly has no interest in being an ally to minorities in their community, i would not suggest going here at all for anything. unless you want to be insulted, then yes, go here. read more

I love ANuTattoo Bedford! Becky is SO nice - she's one of my favorite people and she makes the experience SO comfortable and fun! Most places I've gone to have had a bunch of stuck-up dudes hanging out smoking weed and acting like they're God's gift - not Becky! Really a wonderful experience. My first piercing ever at age 60! She explained everything before she did it. No pain, no bleeding. It looked perfect afterward. Even great instructions for care of my new piercings at home, my ears are doing great. No pain during or after, unlike other experiences I have heard about. I highly recommend! read more
