Went to blow dry my hair on Monday morning with a lady with purple hair and braids. She washed my hair and began to blow dry. I felt discomfort and burning on my ear she saw my expression and asked if it hurt right after and I said yes. On Tuesday I felt my skin sensitive and itchy and asked my husband to take a look. There were 3BLISTERS ALL RED on my ear. I went this morning to resolve and they said maybe I have a rash or maybe my ear was like that already. HOW?? I know if this gets infected ill have to go to the hospital and doctors are not cheap. An old lady with pink hair was going back and forth on the phone speaking Armenian. BE CAREFUL COMING HERE. I asked for the number of owner and pink hair said that she won't be giving it away because she was trusted with it. She also called purple hair to speak to me and she said I never said anything. By the time my ear started hurting AFTER SHE SHOT MY EAR WITH BURNING HOT AIR, it was already too late and did not anticipate my ear getting like this. This was ridiculous all i wanted to know is if anyone would be taking care of my hospital bill if i needed to go. The whole time they acted as if I was an inconvenience to them. Well this is an inconvenience to me too. They did give me my money back but for sure that won't cover much including antibiotics. read more

I'm SO DISAPPOINTED! I had an appointment this morning at 9:00 am.... I seriously waited for 20 minutes until someone came. Even the esthetician that works next door was surprised someone wasn't there yet. I get that things happen, so I decided to wait.... well finally at around 9:18 someone decides to open the shop... I expected an apology... but no... this stylist TOTALLY IGNORED ME standing outside... DIDNT EVEN GREET me and walks in the salon like I wasn't standing there. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND SO RUDE!!!!!!! I never do anything for myself and just wanted to get pampered. I was looking forward to it but this was such a fail. I also tried calling to see if I can speak with the owner but none of the stylists knew when she would be in. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I would like to say that this salon surprised me a lot! The staff is so nice and very friendly! My grandmom and granddad already referred me to this place for a quick haircut but I have never tried it bot until I had to make a last minute blow dry. From the moment I walked in to the time I checked out, they're very accommodating and hospitable. Shout out to Ruzanna! She was the one who has been working with me eversince my first visit. So I went to this haircut "store" and no one greeted me. In fact I was ignored for all twenty minutes I was there. The old ladies that work there are just nauseating. They started to harass this poor old Phillipino man asking him if he had gotten vaccinated. The man politely said it's none of your business. The lady then proceeded to a speak Armenian intentionally to a customer saying "I should disinfect after I cut his hair". This place is filth-don't ever ever go here. I made the appointment at 4.30 pm on a Monday for a wash & blow out. The shampooing didnt go well because the lady had pain in her hands (understandable). Then she informed me Ruzanna will be doing my hair. I have wavy hair. & it's easy to style it up. I wanted a simple straight blow out. I was left standing with my wet head for good 20/25 mins resulting in runny nose head ache at night. Then she did dry me out. & it didnt last for 30 minutes . This is an alright place to get your hair done. I usually get my hair dyed here. I've had haircuts here, but they cut my hair shorter than the length I want. They take walk-ins, but it's best to make an appointment because I do see people come in to sit & wait. As for pricing, its reasonable if you're willing to get the look you want. I've been coming here for over 10 years now. Anya Does the best blow dries. I love Carmen for a Good Hair cut & Color especially bleaching. They give very good Hair conditioning treatments $25+ steep for that much when their hair cuts are $9. Especially when you bring your own product. should be discounted if you do since all your paying for is the wash, & application of conditioner & sticking you under the drier for 10min of heat to penetrate your hair. Kids cuts are $7 a steal. Parking is in the CVS complex. Very friendly service. Yes they are usually busy so please make an appointment however, they don't take appointments for hair cuts but everything else yes. Please understand that if your waiting for a service & someone walks in & they take them first think to yourself maybe they had an appointment. No matter how long you have been waiting they are first. Don't get upset. read more

Do you like gambling? For $9, you can get anything for a subpar haircut to a pretty good cut. Unfortunately, I forget which lady actually has skills while the other lady really sucks. For a guy's cut, they get their s*** done fast, so you won't be waiting here too long. Just pray you get the right person cutting your hair. Went in for eyebrow wax. I would give no stars if I could. Facility is dirty. The back room was dirty with old wax. Wax was not even heated properly and the woman barely tweeted with no shaping at all. I have thinner brows and had been trying to grow out and she has set me back months. It is uneven. The salon is simple as can be. No bells and whistles here. They're working on adding a nail salon to the other end of the salon. Did these ladies go to the Paul Mitchell academy? Probably not. But they are genuinely friendly and interested in you. I brought a pic of a technique known as 'balayage'. Its not a simple technique, actually it requires quite a bit of skill and it can go wrong terribly easy. I explained that I wanted to keep the roots darker but still blended. Unforunately after 3 hours(yup 3!), the blending wasn't there when it came to the roots. There was a harsh line from the roots to where the highlights began. The color was good and the price for the 3 processes and deep conditioner was reasonable. She didn't blow-dry my hair so I couldn't see the final result until I went home, styled it and asked my hubby what he thought. He was being polite when he said it was 'skunk-ish'. I called the next day and spoke to the woman who worked on me and she said she would be happy to blend it more. Unfortunately she wasn't available on my day off...so I went in and had another lady try and fix it (a blonde older lady who smells like cigarettes). I wasn't happy when she charged me the full price for a process of highlights when she only worked on the blending of the roots, but whatever. It turned out ok. I originally had straight bangs going across my forehead but when the blonde lady added highlights to my bangs (she assured me it was necessary so the dark bangs wouldn't look so harsh) I looked like a tiger, hahaha. I literally laughed at myself in the mirror. I had to grow them out. I've received a lot of compliments on the color, but the technique I wanted isn't exactly there. I might go back because the price is reasonable and the woman who initially helped me was very friendly, even though she said my hair was so thin and she would only cut the ends because my hair was "ehhh" as she shrugged her shoulders. Hey lady, it wasn't like this prior to having a child, lets blame the hormones. I think her name started with an A, she had short dark hair and was a little older. The shampoo and conditioning treatment she sold me was great too, its the L'oreal deep treatment. Also, be ready to wait and be shuffled a bit when there is only 1 person working and a lot of walk ins. I think thats why it took 3 hours. People kept coming in for hair cuts and she had to keep juggling her time between me and the walk-ins. read more

I saw the older blond lady. Upon walking in I told her - I've been growing out my layers for years. I just want the length trimmed and nothing else. So she hacks off 3 inches and it's a little aggressive but it's actually the length of all my layers I've been desperately trying to grow out- finally! She starts moving around my hair touching up, trimming my bangs, when another old woman starts going off in Armenian to her. She gets distracted and continues talking to this lady and before I can protest- hacks off layers on the front of my hair!!!! I said wait what are u doing I said no LAYERS!!! She shrugs and tells me.. are you ready? "They were there already" Now my shortest layer is once again at my chin. I have to spend another 3 years growing it out to be one length. When I get home and survey the damage I see the left side of my hair is approx 1inch shorter than the right. This salon is filled with a group of unprofessional people who don't know English. After doing my research of hair salons near my area I finally found this great place. The waiting time wasn't longer than 10 minutes and the price was unbeatable.
