They have been good students but struggled to get an A in their math class since their teacher is very challenging. After the first session, they were comfortable with all the problems they were struggling with. Khang has been tutoring them for a several months and my older son has an A in the class and my younger one has improved immensely and getting very close. We love that Khang has a classroom-like space dedicated to tutoring. It's spacious and quiet. I highly recommend Khang as a tutor because he ivery skilled and He can also assist with other subjects such as chemistry and physics.

I have probably one of the most stubborn unmotivated dogs alive (an Akita) and Corinne has done wonders with him. She trains using positive reinforcement. She is gentle and kind and it is obvious when she works with your dog that she seriously knows her stuff. My dog responds to her methods really well. She works with both the owner and the dog so that while she is shaping behaviors she is also teaching you how to reinforce those behaviors and teaching you the principles of positive reinforcement and using clicks and small treats to communicate with the dog. She is also extremely reasonable for a private trainer. I feel so lucky to have found Corinne!

I started going to Mrs.Raji Menon's math classes in fourth grade up until ninth grade. In high…read moreschool, I excelled in math and completed all high school courses by eleventh grade. From then, I continued to math courses such as Linear Algebra at local community college. I owe all this greatly to Ms.Raji who propelled me into advanced math from a young age. For the six years Mrs Raji taught me, she consistently would introduce new topics in every class and give me a moderate amount of weekly homework which sufficiently reviewed on past topics and strengthened whatever was reviewed in class. This structured teaching style helped me learn at a rapid rate without ever resenting math. Ms.Raji's past experiences as a high school math teacher make her even more invaluable in the sense that she knows what schools are expecting and teaches with that in mind. She also taught me unique ways of approaching math in an efficient manner which paid off when I took the AMC 12 as a junior and qualified for the AIMEs in the top 1%. I would highly recommend Mrs.Raji Menon to anyone who is looking for a math class for their children.

Summary: I just had…read morethe one of the worst customer service experiences of my life with the Math Enrichment Director (Michael W). It all started when I called the number on the website to understand how credits transfer from Castillero Middle School, and to cancel the program if it wasn't equivalent with what the school district was offering my daughter. In summary the Math Enrichment Director Michael W. refused to provide documentation, bullied me to keep his program, then cussed me out and hung up on me without identifying himself (more details below). Through email screeds and a phone call followup he denied he was the one I talked to and told me obvious lies about his "call center" and "staff" and many other things that are too numerous to count, while repeatedly blaming me for my experience. He then found this Yelp review and emailed me a 5-page, point by point rebuttal, and threatened me with libel. Background: I called wanting clear documentation that my child would receive San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD) credits for Math Enrichment, which he refused to provide, rather telling me to go to "the FAQs on the website." My daughter attends Castillero Middle school and I wanted to understand clear documentation that this course would replace the school district's "Ramp-Up to Geometry" course, which my daughter was offered through Castillero. The Math Enrichment FAQs are vague and non-specific, and nowhere do they mention San Jose Unified. They do mention Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) but they are woefully vague on how the process works to coordinate with my daughter's school nor do they mention how they will show up on my daughter's report card. The representative did not even attempt to provide evidence, and was unable to articulate how Math Enrichment partners with SJUSD, and talked in generalities about "10 credits applied toward college" but with no additional specificity. When I told him I needed clear documentation which showed coordination with the San Jose Unified School District, he got extremely pushy, and continued to up the energy until we got into a cursing match. I asked a dozen times for him to identify himself by name, and he refused, telling me he has "been doing this for 20 years" and that I should "shut the *curse word* up" (he repeated this many times). He also would not provide the email for me to use to cancel my daughter's registration, so I had to do a Google search and navigate to their "contact us" email form and hope this was the correct method to cancel registration. I'm flabbergasted at how high-pressure and awful the experience was. Keep in mind he did NOT provide the same level of documentation which I had received from the SJUSD school district for their own summer program. I had only wanted to remove one of my daughters from the program, but, due to the abysmal customer service, the lack of professional courtesy, and the high pressure "just-trust-me" sales methods, I will be removing both daughters from the program. I refuse to support such people who use such practices. This means for each daughter I will lose $400 each (total $800) because that portion is non-refundable, but honestly I'll take that over giving them a single cent over what is in the fine print. My assessment is that this is an organization which does business by domineering parents using high-pressure sales tactics. I still don't know if it is a scam or not, or if these classes show up on high school transcripts for students attending an SJUSD school. I will definitely be logging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about how awful the service was. Edit to add: I searched for my daughter's school in the WASC directory, and it didn't show up. This indicates the school does NOT partner with WASC, and the Math Enrichment course would not show up on her report card. Further developments: The owner emailed me after I posted this review, claiming he was not the person I talked to and that there is some kind of "call center" the calls forwarded to on the weekend. I do not believe his claim as the phone number used is registered to him personally, is clearly an iPhone using iMessage (the texts he sent from the number turned blue), the person I talked with was the same person my spouse talked to last week, and, when I was the phone with him he indicated he has "been doing this for 20 years," all of which point to the person I talked to being the owner. He did not respond when I offered to talk with him again to hear his voice and clear up any confusion. The whole thing reeks of dishonesty. Further further developments: After blatant dishonesty from Director Michael W. over email, I called back the next day using a different number. The "representative" who had the same voice I had talked to, and whom my spouse had talked to, identified himself as Director Michael. The level of dishonesty is unsettling.

They just exploit the loophole in school credit system and try to make more money. And they can cancel your kid for whatever reason and won't return any fee. And admins are mean if you want to argue. Our worst experience so far in US. All victim parents should fight back and tell your friends/neighbors about this scam. This business should not exist at all.

Michael helped my son to not only get through that course, but also to be prepared for calculus this year, where he is succeeding remarkably. Additionally, Michael offered general advice and specific practice techniques for the SAT, and he shared his expertise on essay writing, both for the exam and for college applications. Michael has been very flexible and understanding in addressing our questions and concerns, and is both professional and friendly to work with. While he charges more than some private home tutors you might find on Craigslist, he is a full-time professional tutor who charges comparably to, or less than tutoring centers. We definitely value the added convenience of having him come straight to our home at times that meet our schedule. We have enjoyed working with Michael and look forward to working with him again as our son prepares for college next year, and can strongly recommend him for any parents concerned about their child's progress in math, science, or preparing for college.

It went so well, I hired Michel to tutor my daughter who was on an IEP (auditory process disorder and speech delay) and struggles with any new task. I never told Michael she was disabled because I did not want a different style than he provided my son. I was worried for my daughter at first because I saw nothing in his review about how he worked with kids with special needs and my daughter was so behind in math. He started tutoring her well over three year ago and we saw such an amazing transformation in her math work and grades in just 3 months. My daughter was quiet and somewhat stubborn and yet he had the patience to work with her 2-3 times a week (1-2 hours a day). Maya just graduated from Willow Glen she will attend University of CA Dominican this fall, and her math placement test work placed her in highest entry for freshman math. We feel very lucky and blessed to have had Michael on our side. Thank you, Michael, for all you have done for my family!! You are doing the right work, you rock we couldn't have done this without you.
