Rosales diner - Hummus and fresh bread

Really enjoyed the food. The menu is not too overbearing and has just the right amount of choice…read more(although no turkey or beef sausage/bacon options). The food is really good however, both in presentation and taste. Service wise, the staff was very friendly and polite, although there was a 20 ish minute wait for a seat for 2 and another 25 minute wait to get the food. Granted we did go on a Sunday at 11 am so it was probably the busiest time of the week and the kitchen is perhaps on the smaller side. The ambiance itself is pretty homey, street parking isn't too hard to find. They sell some near merch and also source bread locally from a bakery nearby. Their patio was closed in the winter but definitely seems like a great spot in the summer. Overall, I enjoyed the place. The lack of non pork protein options keeps me away, but should that change, I'd like to revisit the patio in the summer. Should the protein options expand and wait times be reduced on my next visit, I'll be sure to update my review!

We loved the salad and scarfed it down - super crisp, awesome textures, tangy yum. I love their pasta so much and it's fun to see how they prepare and serve it. The shrimp were super small which made eating the dish easier. The flavors were delicious and I was left with lots of extra sauce. I should have asked for a side of bread to soak it up. I had a delicious highball with root beer and fernet. Service was excellent as usual. Love the vibes and tunes. The patio is gorgeous as well. Looking forward to more. Bonus points for serving the surrounding neighborhood - very convenient, needed, reliably fresh and delicious.

Electric Diner - The George Street Smash burger was great.

Can't possibly understand why this place has a low rating. The food was fantastic. I came here on…read moreFather's Day, party of two. We were seated within 5 to 7 minutes. They have a pretty great cocktail menu with unique drinks for a diner. I got this one blue cocktail that had a piece of cotton candy on top of it, that's usually reserved for unique cocktail bars. They did a great job with its. The food was also fantastic. I took a risk and ordered the chicken and waffles and thankfully I was not disappointed. It was a substantial size of chicken and waffle. My mom got the burger and she loved it. Outdoor seating was pretty great, the street wasn't too loud for me. There is plenty of indoor dining as well. The bathrooms looked well maintained

Great vibe. Good food. Terrible pricing…read more Before trying this new location, I dined at the old electric diner twice on George street - same thing. Immaculate vibe, but the food was always just ok, and I remembered it was always expensive. This time I got the chicken waffle. It's a sweet waffle topped with one fried chicken thigh & sweet tangy gochujang and a fried egg. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I wouldn't say it was a big portion like what you'd get from a traditional diner place. It was 24 dollars - so over 30 dollars after tax and tips. It's kinda wild just to think about it... My partner got the Electric Benny - same thing, it was a lot pricier than other diners with the same amount of food. I think 25 dollars for 2 eggs, a slice of fried French toast and some avocado & home fries was pricy. In addition, she got drip coffee on the side which was almost like 6 dollars after tax - that's a crazy price for diner drip coffee. Her basic, mid diner breakfast meal with a moderate portion size came down to almost 35 dollars. To me that's unacceptable. The service was fine. But yeah, I hope electric diner can adjust the pricing in some way...last time I checked, people in Hamilton were not millionaires.

The ambiance is kitchy and perfect. It reminded me of the golden girls, my facoeite show, and a motel, but all in good ways. It is all mimicking a motel. There is also an outside to sit and dine, but we stayed inside. The service was great. I got rhe fried chicken and Cajun fries. This waa gluten free and they had many items available gluten free. It was incredible. I enjoyed the hot honey and the aioli that came with. My fiance had the Brussels hash. It looked great. He enjoyed it. Definitely stop here if you are in the area. Parking free in the parking lot across the street on Sundays.

Overall rating: 4.5/5 (rounded up on Yelp)…read more Truly one of the best brunch spots in Hamilton! There's something for everyone at Motel, whether you're a classic brekkie fan, vegetarian/vegan, or have a sweet tooth. The standouts that I recommend are their champagne pancakes (gold flakes, the thickest, decadent Devonshire cream, and raspberry champagne could on top of a giant stack of pancakes), their No Tell Eggs Benny (two words -- tater tots!), and their The Concierge (for all the classic brekkie meat lovers). Presentation is gorgeous, taste is top notch, and the price of their menu is on par with most brunch places. If I were to critique anything, I'd say that sometimes service can be inconsistent (e.g., when they're very busy) and the cleanliness of the floors & downstairs washrooms is ok but could be improved. Despite this, I think the food quality and overall cute motel-themed decor are worth the trip here.
